    Thank you Mr France. I like your videos very much. THe photography is excellent. I enjoy the sound of you just working. No music, no endless chatter, just the sound of a master craftsman doing a beautiful work of art. Subbed a long time ago and look forward to your next upload. Thank you for taking the time and effort to put your videos up to share with us all. Been doing leather myself off and on since high school back in the 1950’s. I’m not near the craftsman you are but still enjoying making a few things for friends and family.

    Just so you know we have something in common. Our left pinky finger. All true artiesian people have some little defect in their left hand. I'm not kidding you. Great tutorial. Always a pleasure to see your work. Blessings on ya my friend. Stay safe and healthy. Again, blessings on you and yours.🤠

    I think a popular video would be a "shop tour" of your shop and tools. Nice videos. Subbed.

    Outstanding work. One question though. Did you case or dampen the leather prior to craving and stamping?

    Thank you for the video. I just purchased a round knife off Terry Knipschield. I think I am going to use this case to put it in. Does your glue dry out in that pot you use?

    That was very thick leather to sew thru maybe 12 ml, fantastic job, hope the round knife is good for you, couldn't make out the makers name?

      The round knife is a large Vergez Blanchard from France.

    Awesome, Now I see why you made it so sturdy to put on the wall. Looks great. What is the finish? Oil?

    • @agarfrance9272
      @agarfrance9272  8 років тому +1

      Thanks for your comment, the finish is just pure neatsfoot oil.

    What did you put on the leather to make it so dark ?

    Generally, what would you use a knife that big for? I love the old round knife I found (its about 4"), but do you have a specific task you'd do with a knife like that?

    • @agarfrance9272
      @agarfrance9272  8 років тому +1

      It's much easier to skive with a large round knife than a small one, so I bought it for that, but now I like it so much I use it for almost everything.

      I don’t know Mr France personally but I can appreciate his work as a master craftsman. Gust guessing I’d say he has at least 25 plus years experience so just watch and you will learn much from him without him saying a word.
