It's psychological. When you already achieved your main goal (winning the WC) it can be difficult to find the same motivation to do it again. This is what seperates MVG and Taylor from other world number ones
I feel for Dirk Van Duijvenbode. I have a work related shoulder injury, and even after numerous surgeries, the arm/shoulder is still useless. Now I'm labeled Permanently medically impaired. Wooo...
Yea, I feel for him too. Can't flex my arm without my elbow moving to the left due to sholder injury. Useless to play darts but for me personally even more gutting that I can't play tennis or basketball. Working with physical therapy so I have hope for myself but if it doesn't go I will need to become left handed :D
