I love the clips but to bad HBO ISN'T ON UA-cam!! Than I could just access it from here instead of having to go to another app or My T.V really bad when I'm not at home
Six Feet Under is a show just about anyone should watch and enjoy for all the human aspects it shows you. It's the most human show there is, where all the characters are somewhat broken, imperfect, and full of sorrow and regrets and I'm sure many would identity with any of them. Great stuff HBO.
I saw a little bit of myself and my family in each character. Its so relatable because it's not fantasy. This stuff happens to all of us at some point in our lives. AND THE FINALE WAS SO SATISFYING.
What a beautiful scene, never fails to make me tear up. This is the peak of television, we'll never get another TV series as brilliant, intelligent or nuanced as Six Feet Under.
Frances Conroy as Ruth Fisher, throughout all seasons of this remarkable show, is a force. This never fails to make me feel and cry every single time. How it must feel like to direct someone like her and to work alongside her! So underrated, and dare I say, under appreciated too. Genius.
I think this scene was probably easy for them. They had real emotions because the show was coming to a close. They probably became close like a family because of all the time they spent working together over the years. Even though I think this, I still bawl like a baby when I see this scene. I think we cry over scenes because we either relate to them on some level or because we may have regrets over wishing we had relationships like this.
I am just crying because am sure that I will never watch better than this I should have put off watching this series until the last sixty days of my life..
@@candice44 I don't think she *never* swears with her hair up but Alan Ball had said when Ruth is being more uptight, she has her hair in a bun. When she's being a bit more relaxed or "rebellious", she has her hair down.
They always loved each other, but their own emotions and poor communication prevented them from connecting most of this series. I'm so glad that they finally had this moment.
I don't remember ever seeing this scene when I watched SFU. Now here I am with tears in my eyes. I realize that I really cared for everyone in that family. The father maybe not, but he was more like an ancillary detail.
i've owned this show for 10 years and in the past 2 days i started rewatching it. i got to maybe the 3rd or 4th episode last night which is the furthest i've ever gotten when watching it. i aim to finish it this time. oddly, after i started watching the show again a guy who looks like one of the side characters walked by me.
Up until this moment, Ruth was my most hated character. But here she showed true courage and strength. She lost her first-born, she lost her grandkid to Brenda, she's just with David who will leave her too as soon as he gets better. She 100% would feel better with Claire staying, but she decides to not hinder her daughter's growth. She skyrocketed to be my most favorite character here. Despite all her faults and her limitations, she had the guts to be strong after everything she went through
Man, i just finished watching this show 5 mins ago and came back to watch this scene. Funny how for 5 season i hated Brenda and Ruth and only in a couple mins they both redeemed themselves.

This is my favorite show of all time. I used to have friends over at my house pretty much every other day back then and they were loud and constantly talked. But on Sunday? When Six Feet Under was on? They knew to not make a single sound during that hour or I would kick them out. Gotta have boundaries when there's a show of this caliber on tv.
so touched , my mom is totally same as Ruth, even they are so likely controlling and manipulating, eventually I feel the way my mom so loving and giving to me

SPOILER TAG PLEASE!!!!!! I JUST STARTED WATCHING, AND HAVE BEEN RUINED BY DESCRIPTION UNDER VIDEO 😔😔
People say a lot of things about Ruth, but at the end of the day, she was a good mother.
And in this scene, she became a great mother.
She was indeed. Her character was one of the most iconic in the series.
Only took a dead son to be a somewhat decent mother
Her character arc is brilliant.
Spot on! Wanting your child to have a better life than yours is the definition of motherhood.
she was too controlling, too clingy, I felt bad that she had grown kids that she waited on, they never helped.
Basically the mother of all modern shows.
As a 90s kid, I can't express the emotions this show brings in me.
It doesn’t matter what decade you were a kid in. It’s very emotional to many

@Keith Cousins ruude
God same. This clip just destroyed me.
The casting directors literally struck gold with Frances Conroy and Lauren Ambrose. They look so much like mother and daughter it's uncanny.
Best series finale of all time.
This is the best series ever made

Best tv show ever

I love how much peace this scene gives Ruth and Claire. True love between a mother and a daughter.

This scene made me bawl like a baby. Just thinking about it makes me tear up. Ruth's character is so deep.
The greatest serie of all time ❤
One of the best acted scenes in television history

@@CandyYuchasz Good point, that definitely could be the case. I can't watch it without tearing up either.
This show, along with The Sopranos, changed episodic tv forever.
I’m rewatching this series for the first time since it went off the air. It left such an impact on me. I will love it forever.
Ruth and Claire’s relationship reminds me so much of my own mother and I. Makes me cry every time.
I am just crying because am sure that I will never watch better than this
I should have put off watching this series until the last sixty days of my life..
I know what u mean though we never know when our last six days will be. This series showed me how fleeting life is
Goddamit. Stop making me wanna rewatch this series for the sixth time.
This is so emotional, I always cry when I see this again. Ruth is finally able to let her daugher go and it is a good decision.
So many memories, miss the Fisher family ❤️
She was so good to Claire Bear here.
This made me cry more than the finale
You always know Ruth was gonna swear when her hair was down.
lol is that a rule? Does she categorically never swear when her hair is up?
@@candice44 I don't think she *never* swears with her hair up but Alan Ball had said when Ruth is being more uptight, she has her hair in a bun. When she's being a bit more relaxed or "rebellious", she has her hair down.

it's definitely in my top 1 of the best I've ever seen in my life.

I think a lot of people found this show for the first time during the pandemic, or watched it again over the last two years.
👍🏻
just finished watching the first season. binge watched it the last 2-4 days. good show
My God this show was so good. Just breathtaking at times.
still feel chillss.....
I love this show with all my heart.
So well written
I love this series so much
The Fishers my family for everlasting life.
Hbo please release this on Blu Ray pleaseeeee
Made me cry so bad :(
Francis Conroy is incredible!
'break glass in case of emergency' but it's SFU... this show heals
I haven't been able to watch any other series since Six Feet Under.
Try Rectify. The acting is excellent too.
@@joubinha333 I will. Thank you Jo !
The most depressing and beautiful show ever
The quality of the video 👁️👁️
it's something like reflex I guess. I think of 'Breathe Me' song when I see any of character, quote or something about the show.

Feels - The Series
This show was brilliant but I have to admit the first 2 seasons were the best
Last season is my favourite
I think it picked up in the last season, which was the best
The first 2 and then the last
A roller coaster of emotions
Six Feet Under in HD?!
Oh yeah
not the first two seasons :/
MISS U HBO...

loved this series , great actors, the only boring one was Clair.
i hate Ruth ‼️‼️
Indoctrination aside, six feet under is my favorite series.

When Six Feet Under was on? They knew to not make a single sound during that hour or I would kick them out. Gotta have boundaries when there's a show of this caliber on tv.
When DVR came out, we would pause it and make bets on how the person at the beginning would die.
Ruth is now acting innocent, after almost destroying her daughter's life. Such a selfish, bad mother..
so touched , my mom is totally same as Ruth, even they are so likely controlling and manipulating, eventually I feel the way my mom so loving and giving to me
