  • Here's an easy reggae guitar strumming pattern you can learn quickly. This is the perfect strumming pattern to use on an acoustic guitar for reggae songs like Three Little Birds by Bob Marley. Once you learn the basic reggae strumming pattern, I'll show you a slightly more advanced one.

Thanks heaps for this lesson, Tomas. I've been trying to learn the Reggae strum for a couple of years and yours is the first lesson I've seen which is sufficiently broken down. Well taught, Thanks.

Just stumbled across this video. I'm a Newby, just started learning today about 2 hours ago. This is awsome, 50% there in less than an hour just watching back finger position, guitar position, and alot of rewind and strumming along :) cheers, will check out your other videos.

With the greatest respect, if you're in a reggae band and using the techniques described by Tomas, then you're not playing the music that reggae exponents and fans would recognise. The adoption of other cultures is great, but we should respect the media. I suggest you listen to old stool Jamaican reggae, then look for Tuff Lion John Jesus, Steve Golding and or Xyan. These guts will show you how to play the music properly. One Love
