For me education is a must and look for someone with a masters degree. That tells me a lot about her values. That and how many kids she has. If more than 3, I wonder what was she thinking, or maybe she is religious. And as I have grandkids who are 20 to 5 years old, this Lolo will help, but no little kids for me. And that is why dating older women generally eliminates that problem. Or at least not until a few years pass to see how it goes. You all might say, I’m demanding to much. As I don’t fear living alone, am in no hurry. Relationships are not always easy here....IMHO it's best to go very slow and trust their actions not words. I have seen many of my friends have girls move in very quickly only to have big problems later. For me it's best to find a girl from the province who lives a simple life. Ask the hard questions about goals and what she wants up front as far as a future, be sure it's in line with your desires. No matter what be prepared to put in work to make the relationship work...it will be worth it in the end.
I strongly considered marrying Thai, Filipina, Japanese women in my younger Navy days. These women were beautiful with personality, ones I felt I could truly fall in love with a soulmate of sorts. I was never so happy in my life from the US. The major deal breaker was really in depth important communication and culture barriers including beliefs. It it scared the hell out of me. So even at 50yrs old i just go travel as JOHN only have fun make friends and save myself from all the B.S. and hassle. All i want is maximum boom boom my 1st most important priority over ALL else.

I've never been in a relationship with a Filipina before, so I greatly appreciate the information that wise and learned men like yourself and John Wales pass on to newbies like myself.I thank you so much.
That's one reason to not bring your Filipina to your home country if you have a big age gap (20 years or more). If you're an older man, keep her in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Bcoz they realize that there are young guys out there that can take care of them same as the old dude. So they choose to be with someone close to their age.

For some Filipinas, the goal is WEDDING/MARRIAGE. They forget to exert effort to stay married. Fellow Filipinas, let our goal be company, love, compromise and connection NOT status, definitely NOT acceptance of the society. Stop pleasing the society. The society is a third party of your relationship
@@johnwales9842 I grew up in a very traditional family. They think my goals should be getting married, migrating to another country and having a baby at a young age. I refuse to be pressured by their beliefs. I'm a part Filipina and a part the 'other' Filipina. lol

I'm no young buck but still in awesome shape and do look much younger. My libido is waaaay good enough for a young gal ha ha. As for "nothing in common" comment if with a younger women, I always find that comment weird, even weirder if we consider dating in another country. I've been with women of all age groups, and compatibility in sex or temperament or hobbies or intellect is absolutely NOT age dependent. For example, you think someone dumb as a brick and not curious in their 20s suddenly becomes a deep thinker in their 40s? It's true incompatibilities can be real hurdles, but my point is that they are not at all age dependent.

Irreconcilable differences are more common than we would like to admit. That's why many foreigners would be better off if they just get a dog if they want true love. Otherwise a Filipina is great if they just want to have a great time.
The best advice you ever given Calvin...is the visa....a good girl will want to stay in the Phillipines like your GF....that is the biggest green flag in my opinion....thanks again....
No, that's not a fair test. Of course all of the girls would PREFER a ticket to the US then leave the guy after a year or two, BUT living in the PI as a rich person (by their standards) is still a whole lot better than struggling each day to survive. Don't ever get the crazy idea that it's LOVE just because the girl agrees to stay in the PI and live better than 98 percent of locals off your money. Next.
😂. That's why I said it bro. I am very interested in deep conversation. Women who only offer sex ; I can't be with her beyond that. The best sex comes from a deep connection beyond the genitals. Intelligence is highly important for me and without it - no relationship can develop. Sex is easy, but a womN of substance is rare. Women all over the world have sex at a drop of a hat. Hell the entire world is full of sexually promiscuous women. People have to learn to connect on something beyond the external and genitals. The money aspect with a Filipina or any women from poorer countries definitely will be an issue.
When I come to the Philippines 2 years ago I bought a ticket to the philippines and then I bought a ticket to Hongkong that cost me $45 , that was my throw away ticked . It does not have to be a ticket back to your home country you just have to have a ticket out the desternation does not matter.

I stay away from the street vendors. I will however buy from the vendor pop ups in the malls. I'm picky that way any country I go to. In Korea I ate the street vendors just outside of Osan AB, only bcoz the base public health office inspected the on the regular. They knew airman and soldiers were going to eat from them, so might as well make sure they stay safe.

“Trust their actions not words” 👍👍
What gives me the shits it they are hell bent on giving.your money to other people
Another classic uncle Cal. Keep on keeping on shipmate.
I always love Calvin's, tough love - or rather just maybe the fact that he's real , in a dishonest world that cares more about your feelings so that you don't get offended :)
I've never been in a relationship with a Filipina before, so I greatly appreciate the information that wise and learned men like yourself and John Wales pass on to newbies like myself.I thank you so much.
No problem John. Anytime that I can help, send me an email.
That's one reason to not bring your Filipina to your home country if you have a big age gap (20 years or more). If you're an older man, keep her in the Philippines 🇵🇭
100% correct i tried that don't work
Bcoz they realize that there are young guys out there that can take care of them same as the old dude. So they choose to be with someone close to their age.
@@davidhill7071 thats true BUT that girl my ex got mixed up with many filipina girls that were all divorced or getting divorced then the younger guy that she dumped me dumped her two months later then she got secretly married so she could keep getting alimoney and child support but my lawyer found the secret she now lives a alcoholic slob in a tiny apartment and I am living a great life back here in the Philippines its called Karma
From what I have heard if the Filipina is under 35 years of age never bring them to a Western Country. You will be dumped in about a years time.
@@bradleykeller5753 that most likely true but there are good ones but much better to stay in the Philippines with your wife but not everyone can stay because they are not retired and have to work and taking them back can be very risky..........I have lived now in the Philippines over 30 years all these things happened to me when I was much younger.....I am now 70 and no longer will take any girl back to the US and with this covid going on its hard.............its nice here and you can find some nice girls but you have to be very careful I dont try to act like an expert I have been scammed many times now I know how to be more careful I guess at my age I done really care hahahaha
Good savings advice. Those three I's are priceless. You are helping out a lot of dudes. God bless you brother.
Hello Gary thanks for stopping by today brother!
If you didn't know those 3 issues make or break any relationship, no advice is going to save you.
Thanks SS, but those are the same things that destroy almost ALL relationships regardless of location. (add INCOME for America)
Thanks for the good information Calvin!
That’s what I was thinking Calvin . I’d like to be a John for a little bit to get that out of my System but I am looking for long term. I don’t want to make a fast choice because of pend up energy? Trying to figure that out without getting a bad name .
I think some would try to Lable you Jay for your honesty, and they may be John's themselves! I suggest any Expat be themselves regards to Lable, and when you are ready to Settle down, it shouldn't affect anyone else who isn't or someone who thinks" It's about Time for you?
*Thx4Sharing interesting and valuable content Calvin* 👍🇺🇸
Well good advice again , it appears that you are not afraid to get to the truth , good work . And good luck . Thank you
For some Filipinas, the goal is WEDDING/MARRIAGE. They forget to exert effort to stay married. Fellow Filipinas, let our goal be company, love, compromise and connection NOT status, definitely NOT acceptance of the society. Stop pleasing the society. The society is a third party of your relationship
Criselle. You are wise beyond your years.👍
@@johnwales9842 I grew up in a very traditional family.

TY you opened my eyes, isn't worth taking the chance to go there ;) Be blessed and take care
Words of wisdom from Calvin.
I’m lucky, I wake up with a stiff every morning.
I’m just getting tired of sleeping at the morgue. 😂😂😂

Sorry I’m being insensitive.
I packed and waiting to come to the Philippines and my only out is to watch decent individuals like you Calvin.
If you can’t have a joke during this bullshit then God help you.
As I was finishing the first line, I was thinking up some way, like, "Be careful, so many of those dead bodies are attributed to Covid right now..." Then I read the second line... I thought it was funny.

Finding a decent man like you sir ..
Hihi someday
Irreconcilable differences are more common than we would like to admit. That's why many foreigners would be better off if they just get a dog if they want true love. Otherwise a Filipina is great if they just want to have a great time.
i would also add - Insecurity
Good one Calvin spot on
The best advice you ever given Calvin...is the visa....a good girl will want to stay in the Phillipines like your GF....that is the biggest green flag in my opinion....thanks again....
Really? There are many bad girls that don’t want to leave the Philippines.Just because a girl wouldn’t mind going abroad doesn’t make her a bad girl.
@@pattskatoey3139 ...thanks....yes i agree....it depends on situation i suppose.....
thylacine yes
Excellent video
Thumb Up!
When I come to the Philippines 2 years ago I bought a ticket to the philippines and then I bought a ticket to Hongkong that cost me $45 , that was my throw away ticked . It does not have to be a ticket back to your home country you just have to have a ticket out the desternation does not matter.
Great Tip! 👍
I hope to Keep that in Mind in The Future.
First time comment here, l want it in frequently, she wants it infrequently. I say in frequently should be 2 words, she says it should be one word.
Excellent vlog Brother
Hey D nice to hear from you brother!
If American Guests wish to visit here and you crave tacos, burritos, or a copy of In 'N Out Burger, try the Army Navy chain. For Pizza, I believe it is Yellow Cab Pizza. In my remote neck of the woods, in Sultan Kudarat, it's Tom's Pizza..... For what Calvin is speaking of, remember the blue pill, if she is like that Duran Duran song; "All She Wants Is"
What is “army navy chain”? Please expand?
Thank you
Hi Carmen
Exactly because I got sick after eating from a vendor there.
I've gotten sick a few times. Even at one of the largest American Fast Food restaurant here.🤮
I stay away from the street vendors.
Lmaooooo Calvin im moving to a small province so my infidelity is probably going to be more in check than I'd like and my future wife wants us to be a little further from her family so no one asks for money, but I can't wait to get there!
I can, I will and I must🤠🤠🤠
All around good video.
your 3Cs (compatibility, communication, comfort) are so important in any relationship Calvin. How do you and your Filipina wife manage this so successfully?
It’s not easy we’re not out of the woods yet. That communication is a doozy 🤷🏾♂️
Great content 💪💪💪
Never understand why i have to support her family? is she gonna help support my family?

So wait when you say, "they may certainly want to spare the rod.." does mean they want to spare the kid from getting a (disciplinary) beating ? So you're saying many Filipinos don't believe that a kid should ever get a spanking (or they believe in the opposite)? Sorry, I just didn't get that expression and what the typical Filipina's view on this is
Thanks man.
Ahhhhhh! I listened to the video for a second time. I got it now😊
@@theprodigy4202 they don’t believe in spanking!
That's why you don't let them meet you at the airport so you can sow some oats and get it out of your system. Some support for the family isn't a problem for me personally.
I don't believe in sparing the rod though. I wasn't raised that way. That might be a deal breaker.

Have you fully elaborated on exactly what the Filipina Taboos and conservatism's are in a Relationship on any of your episodes?

In a nutshell,yep!! Hahaha!! Blessings!! :)
When or how long will it be before your friend goes to the Philippines?
I don’t understand your question. Thanks.
Hi Calvin thank you so much for the information on life in the Philippines I appreciate that. I've been watching you for about 5 months and I just have one thing to say at the end of each of your videos you always say it's late in America try to help someone. Calvin you know you cannot help anyone late in America is dangerous come on now dude. I'm from Chicago The later you stay out the more dangerous it is It's no way in the world I would go out and call myself going to help somebody in Chicago late at night That's suicide come on Calvin it just makes me laugh when you say that because I think about you're going to get your head blown off or get your car jacked or all the above You can't help nobody The best thing you could do is stay away from people It's nothing you could do because, trying to help somebody in the streets later tonight you will get killed. You make me laugh when you say that I don't know how it is in the Philippines but you always say it's late at America get out and help somebody Man you better get in that house and help yourself and leave these idiots alone ain't nothing you could do for them I just wanted to throw that out there to you cuz you make me laugh and you say that 🤣 I'm just saying man I'm just saying it the real deal you better get away from people all you could do is get back in the house get yourself killed trying to help somebody. 🤣 Peace my brother Good luck to you.
I said, “ but if you’re on one of those late grocery runs... 😂
I know you mean well man I grew up on the south side of Chicago It's not a good idea to do a late grocery run because everybody's watching you. And not in a good way they're thinking about what they can take from you. So I just laughed when you said but man I know it really depends on where you live and your situation and your neighborhood 🤣🤣. Thanks for responding I got a lot of information out of your videos I am planning to come to the Philippines as soon as I can I do have a Filipina there we want to marry so I was listening to your advice on money and food and also I would love a kitchenette because that's a good idea to cook my own food I'm a good cook so I would love to cook my own food so I appreciate that information I think it was called the pension houses a B and B? Hopefully I can get there soon we have been waiting to get married since the pandemic started I can't get there and she course can't get here. So I hope soon I pray that I can get there before the years out. But thank you so much for your videos and good luck to you. And I'm going to pass on that grocery run. 🤣 But I must also add I don't live in the city anymore I live in South Elgin which is a really nice suburb Southwest of Chicago about maybe an hour from the city I left the city years ago I've been out here for 20 years. I love the Northwest suburbs of Chicago City ain't my thing I grew up there and I know it just ain't for me. Hey my brother thanks again I'll talk to you soon thank you. Peace stay safe 👍

I was really just kind of joking around with Calvin . I grew up in Chicago on the south side I live in South Elgin the suburbs very good area just making fun with Calvin because he always says get out and help someone at night it was just a joke No I don't live in a bad area My area is very nice. 👍
If the filipina was 'too small' for John's Jurassic johnson, I hope she will be alright if she eventually chooses to have a baby.
🤣🤣🤣🤣The problem wasn't with me. Trust me on that one.🤣🤣🤣 She would probably have to have a c section.
@@johnwales9842 Ah... so you are the main man!
It's okay, I know what you mean. It actually reminds me of a girlfriend I had many years ago from my home country. She told me that a doctor said that she was fertile, only she wasn't 'big enough' to have a baby. Maybe your filipina lady has the same problem, just as you suggest.
Your surname is pretty big too! It's the name of the country that I live in 😆

Calvin. I want to start a business in the Philippines. What advise do you have on this subject?
I'll give you my advice. Stick to online work only. Otherwise your business will fail here.
News Flash about guys who say "You're too big" for her:" That part of a woman's anatomy is remarkably accommodating (remember babies come out that way). If a woman is "into you," she will be RELAXED enough to admit you. In other words, if she's "too small," she's probably not very sexually attracted to you, but is just playing along.
This is my view after breaking Wilt Chamberlain's record, a record some thought would stand forever;-)
Anyone got anything to say about my comment?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Taboos is often superstition. Meaningless, irrational rules for life.

Yea the plane ticket really is the big item. Do some research on that and plan a bit ahead and you will be fine.
I don't believe what John said the he's too big for the girl...........if a 10lb baby can come out of there, then there is no way he could be too big for her. Lot's of guys like to brag about being big and John is no exception.....and that's the nitty gritty!!

I'm not "big" The woman was just small. It has happened twice here. It never happened in the U.S.
human biology proves time and time again the most petite of women are capable of birthing 7lb babies but for some odd reason unable to accommodate Little John lmmfhao!!!!
🤣🤣🤣Maybe there's a difference between entrance and exit??🤣🤣 Once again, the women are small here. I am not big at all.🤣
