One of the best parts of gardening is giving away flowers! I’m a middle school teacher and twice a week, our school has a “Discovery” enrichment time for teachers to host unique and fun learning opportunities for students, and my coworker and I have been hosting a flower arranging Discovery with flowers from our gardens. Just yesterday, we donated our students’ flower arrangements to a local nursery home. They were so grateful!!!
Paul's wooden grid creation, to keep the pots upright in the high tunnel, would be an interesting concept for creating a lightweight version to slip vases into when transporting them to their destination. How DO you transport vases to keep them from falling over in the vehicle?
I’ve seen one florist use something similar actually. They use homemade box systems, cardboard boxes or foam blocks that have holes where the vase sits in it.
I just love seeing the gazebo in the park. It fits so perfectly there. I'm so glad that the good people of Ontario will be able to put it to good use and enjoy it.
Coffee and Garden Answer is a perfect start to my day. So great to see an example of goodness in today's times. Intentional service to others. What a blessing!
What I wouldn’t give to have you and Aaron come to New Mexico and spend a day in my backyard! I had an opportunity this past spring to add a vegetable garden into a domestic abuse shelter house. It was pouring rain and I was covered in mud, but I loved every second of it. As a survivor of domestic violence I know the power that gardens and nature can have on the healing process. Thank you so much for highlighting it here.

I totally agree with you, Kelly. Parks in general always need more trees. Especially, in sunny hot climates. I’m not sure if the canopy on the pre-existing trees the city planted is enough shade for guest, but great suggestion nevertheless. 🌳🥰

I think this one of the best to do with our own garden -- give bouquets away! This year the only flowers I cut out of our garden were flowers to be given away as bouquets -- love it!

The problem with them doing some plantings in the park would be like the water park/splash pad they beautified. The people running the place didn't keep it up. Park/City of Ontario would have to make AND KEEP that commitment

Those grass roots are no joke. I potted up some beautiful purple fountain grass one year and almost broke my pots trying to remove them at the end of the season. Great work today!
Hi! I love Purple Fountain Grass, but those roots, OMGolly! I decided to try some different perennials in my 2 pots for 3-4 years, but couldn't find anything that did well, or looked as pretty, so I broke down and planted them this year. I may regret it when I go to pull them, but they were/are so beautiful. LOL!
Laura! I feel like you're living every garden center worker's dream! We get to see tons of gorgeous plants every summer and talk to other people about how nice it would look in their yard (while knowing we don't have space for those plants in our own yard.) Not you! Year after year, you sent these plants off to other's homes, and now you have this beautiful property to plant ALL the plants!

How wonderful to be able to help out those organizations in your city. So many non-profits have struggled with fewer donations the past year or more. I love that you guys are involved with such a needed, special group. Domestic violence impacts people from all walks of life, from the most wealthy to the poorest among us, it is something very dear to my heart. I had one parent who grew up in stability and incredible love (fortunately I was raised around that side of the family) and I had one who was raised by wonderful people who were toxic together and surrounded him with other abusive people who damaged him severely to the point he never was able to be who be wanted to be, I lost my mom as a teenager due to the tragedy of domestic violence, when I watch your videos with you and your mom it makes my heart smile because my mom and I would be doing the same things, treasure her. I know you do, thank you again for helping such a special group. I type this with tears but an incredibly blessed life.

Those grass roots are no joke. I potted up some beautiful purple fountain grass one year and almost broke my pots trying to remove them at the end of the season. Great work today!

Hi! I love Purple Fountain Grass, but those roots, OMGolly! I decided to try some different perennials in my 2 pots for 3-4 years, but couldn't find anything that did well, or looked as pretty, so I broke down and planted them this year. I may regret it when I go to pull them, but they were/are so beautiful. LOL!

Laura! I feel like you're living every garden center worker's dream! We get to see tons of gorgeous plants every summer and talk to other people about how nice it would look in their yard (while knowing we don't have space for those plants in our own yard.) Not you! Year after year, you sent these plants off to other's homes, and now you have this beautiful property to plant ALL the plants!
My mother would have absolutely LOVED you and your channel! ❤️ She was an avid gardener.

I am constantly in awe of how much you have accomplished in the south garden in such a short amount of time. The shrubs are beautiful, as well as the arrangements! I love that you guys are involved with such a needed, special group. Domestic violence impacts people from all walks of life, from the most wealthy to the poorest among us, it is something very dear to my heart. I had one parent who grew up in stability and incredible love (fortunately I was raised around that side of the family) and I had one who was raised by wonderful people who were toxic together and surrounded him with other abusive people who damaged him severely to the point he never was able to be who be wanted to be, I lost my mom as a teenager due to the tragedy of domestic violence, when I watch your videos with you and your mom it makes my heart smile because my mom and I would be doing the same things, treasure her. I know you do, thank you again for helping such a special group. I type this with tears but an incredibly blessed life.
