  • During a CISSP training webinar, I kept getting questions like this: “I failed the CISSP exam before. What did I do wrong?”
This is a common question I get all the time. And honestly, it frustrates me to see so many people struggle with this because of all the bad advice out there.
In this video I share some of the things I see time and time again when our students enroll in one of our training programs. If you are doing one of these things, I will share with you some tips on how to overcome this so that you can increase your chances of becoming CISSP Certified.

My approach was to not even worry about what information fell into which domain since there is so much cross over. I also found it easiest to relate the information back to things I had seen in my experience when considering decision making questions.
In the test, reading the question is everything. In practice, I was spending less than 30 seconds on each question, but on the actual test, that time expanded to right around 60 seconds- READ EVERYTHING! The questions often have tricky wording and the answers can be misleading, presenting you with multiple related answers or even all answers that wouldn’t be the most optimal decision; it is your job to wade through the words to find the answer that best fits the problem.

Oh my goodness! I have been slamming my head about Due Care and Due Diligence because I'm using the Cybex Ninth edition and it doesn't seem to match up with what I've seen about Due Care and Due Diligence with other sources and it's confused me so much. Thank you for confirming my suspicion.
