You know these trucks live up to their promises. They haul for years and years, even under the worst treatment. I wouldn't trust a modern truck from any company to hold up after the warranty expires.
@@straightpipediesel I was at Navistar Melrose Park Works years ago, watching them building the prototypes for GM. The cool part is I knew before my Chevy dealer did! Unfortunately it was not enough to save IH/Navistar.

I don't think I've ever seen a medium-duty with one of the upgraded cab trim levels in real life. For that matter the only ones I've seen with the chrome grille and bumper were fire trucks.
@@theemulsionalchemist5688 The only reason I did was that Dad bought a new '79 GMC Sierra and brought 5-year-old me home all the brochures for the whole line.

A friend of mine’s grandparents have a C65 grain truck that’s a Scottsdale trim level. Factory AM/FM, the “fancier” bench and door panels, and a 454 instead of the usual 366. By far the classiest old grain truck I’ve ever seen.
1980,was the last year of the steel tilt cab,I have said this before, but I think the GMC/Chevrolet steel tilt cab is a sharp looking style ques, the two glass slight wrap around Windshield, the front and rear cab top style and the overhang -s front and rear.

I always liked the looks of the 1960-80 steel tilt cabs.
Same here
That 1967-era school bus chassis had survived far off into 1990!
Como é bom ver esses vídeos antigos. Pena que no Brasil não tivemos esses caminhões da Chevrolet. 😢😢😢

Great video, drove a lot of those trucks, tough ol trucks 😊
Why GM quit making medium duty trucks I'll never know. Great trucks that were easy to work on. Love the guy building GM trucks wearing an IH shirt!
1 fresh GMC shirt wasn't in the budget
That's how it is today, the guy building the GM medium duty trucks wear International shirts.
