I spawned in, found a nice, quiet, flat area not far from the lighthouse, started building a little starter and... got eaten by a wild 145 giga... then found a nice little cave behind a waterfall nearby. Not a lot of room, which is probably why it was empty to begin with, but just right for setting up and hiding a few tames. Now, the wild giga protects my base area, lol. My wife and I have recently started playing rag. I picked one of the alpha mountain tops and built a decent castle using cheats. And I spawned in a few yeti. And bulbdogs for the free flashlights. Super fun running around with our yeti they protect us so well. This map guide is PERFECT it's everything we needed to know how to actually play through the game. thank you sir :)
If I had to pick between this and the center for finding high level dinos, I’d probably pick this map mostly because even with its vast plains and stretching valleys/canyons it isn’t as barren and it isn’t as empty of berry bushes for narcotics and is much easier to get many other resources. The center is very scenic and pretty but it also feels way to big for its own good, the redwood biome being one of the most lifeless areas of the map. So in short if you wanna find high level dinos to beat the bosses of maps with and also farm resources, Ragnarock is the map to go with.
The labyrinth will definitely test your patience lol. Also there's a trench in the sea by the volcano where there's obsidian for days! Tame yourself a dunk and you will easily fill a vault.
Re-started with the missus on rag after hearing the rave reviews. Have to say we already like it better than the Island for a noob couple. Except for the second bronto that spawned. For some reason the second one felt it necessary to hang out on our house (literally) for three day cycles straight.
Personally I would have taken the 3 days as a prime opportunity, to tame what depending on your engrams, and level.Equates to a land-based mobile base or artillery platform.
@@alkirk6 oh, we've moved on from merely using them as mobile fortresses. We discovered that S+ allows you to place the dedicated storage beamer on platforms.
