    You have no idea how grateful i am that i happened to look up erbs palsy bodybuilding and you were the first one to pop up. Seeing youre affected arm all beefed up really really gives me hope, i thought i would always have a danky little arm, kinda like how nemo had a danky little fin lol but seeing this gives me so much hope and inspiration. I know theres not alot of us out there, and even though your videos target such a small demographic of people, you are truly a stand up guy. Now i feel like i can do anything and no matter how hard ive tried in the past ive never truly felt that way until now. I feel like i could be a superhero, which is something people with erbs palsy could only dream of, but you man, youre making that dream come true. I know this was long and really dramatic but man you have no idea the relief and joy youve brought over me, and everybody else affected by erbs palsy. Thank you so much, continue making videos dude, you seriously deserve more praise

    I came here from your erbs palsy cant stop you video and you and I had the exact same situation at birth. Even the weight (10lbs 9oz). I had therapy while I was little and mine isn't as severe as yours but i never let it hold me back. I got into lifting when I was about 18 and I'm 23 now. Basically I cant extend my right arm past about 120 degrees and my shoulder is pushed forward a bit so some of the muscle tissue is twisted a bit forward. I even managed to join the military with my condition. I consider myself lucky that it hasn't inhibited much of my life beyond having to throw with my left hand. I think anyone with erbs can do anything they set their minds to. Keep making videos man, these are great.

    I lost motivation, then came back to this video. It is so valuable to have an example that makes you believe impossible is possible.

    Cant Thank you enough! The trick with using the dumbbell while doing pushups! A week ago I could barely do 10 "on my knees" pushups. Today I was able to do 3 sets of 10 and even a few without my knees on the ground. I was always discouraged to try them but with the dumbbell, I'm seeing progress! Thanks for the videos!

    I have ERB's paralysis of right hand and arm. And I have started to drive in my country Pakistan. Driving is even right handed here but I can do it Alhamdulilah. It takes a lot of courage n determination to get on vehicles that too with one fully working hand n arm only

    It's great to see this. I've stuck with cardio for years since I struggled so much with weights with my left arm being so weak thanks to erbs.
    This year has been the first time I've just said fuck it and push myself with weights. It's painful but the difference is quite good to see. I still chicken wing with any bicep exercise but it can't be helped.
    Thank you for the video :)

    I have Erbs palsy as well. I have already had 3 surgeries. I do and don’t want to have another one unless I have to. If I did have surgery it would be to make my elbow straight bc it’s locked up at 3/4 full extension. Do you know workout to help straighten the elbow or maybe start getting massages on elbow or should I just have a surgery, to help extend the elbow? Hope that makes sense

    • @KyleStokes
      @KyleStokes  3 роки тому

      Hey Austin! Thanks for the comment and that's a good question. My best advice would be to consult a doctor or a physical therapist for what's possible! I have had a humorous rotation and a tendon transfer, but my elbow appears a little bent sometimes too -check out what the medical pro's have to say and go from there!

      Have you tried him on the dual cable machine pal? Cause you could get him to do decline press and incline press on it also fly. It will be easier for you to shuts the weight to suit each side. What is his movement like in his arm?

    Hey, I also have erbs palsy in my left arm and I had a question about the pushups. I always see people put their elbows in and push down but in my ep arm i can never do that, is there a way to train my arm to be more flexible somehow?

    Were you always able to life your arm over your head or hold weight on it? I’ve had Erbs Palsy my whole life and never could reach above my head or support any weight (like push up) I always end up crooked if that makes sense? Just wondering if I should keep working and maybe I’ll build up the strength.. I’m just getting into lifting it’s been about 2 months now so I’m still learning and figuring out what works for me

      Hey, i know this is kind of late but I’ve been living with EP my whole life and I can’t tell you that during my past 3 years of working out and boxing no one tends to even notice it especially if ur wearing a hoodie. And while exercising just make sure to focus on form and use really light weights until you slowly progress. There are many exercises that we can’t do, however every muscle group has a variety of movements that can target that muscle so find one and just focus on improving that one.

  • @BrassMonkeyMan1

    What do you do for the lateral head of the shoulder? I do simple side lateral raises. I've noticed an increase in strength but the only time I see a difference in the muscle is when I've got the pump from working out.

    • @KyleStokes
      @KyleStokes  7 років тому

      Hey, brother! Sounds like you are working the muscle if you’re seeing strength gains and feeling the pump! The pump is a great confirmation that work is being done. I don’t have any particular exercise I would recommend for the lateral head other than what you’ve said! If you find anything else that works please feel free to share it! I’d love to hear about it!
