I can’t wait to see the butcher video. I’m currently trying to source an old stainless bulk milk tank so I can utilize it as a scalding tank for our hogs this year. We want to do a lot of traditional stuff, scald and scrape, pork rinds, jowl bacon, and salt cured country hams are all on my “wish list.”
You should look into insulating your floor. The concrete may be causing the problem with temperature not getting low enough. I’m building mine and will put down a floor with insulation on top of the concrete slab.
No I never posted it… YT changed their “community guidelines” and I was nervous they would take my channel down. I think they’ve since backed off on that but now I’m taking my channel a different direction so it doesn’t make sense to share, I’m sorry!
what about control of humidity levels? Is this an off-the-self window AC unit? I've read they can keep at most 55-60% of humidity levels in those rooms. Flowers need more like 90% humidity, veggies/meat 85-90%.
I wonder.. if I build my walk in cooler inside the garage... how big of a deal would it be having my a/c pulling air from inside the garage? I don't wanna make holes into my garage exterior in case I wanna move it
Did end up building it last year. Got a 12000 btu a/c cooling an 8 by 10 cooler and it's been 2-3c all year long I built it out of 2 by 4 walls and 4" Styrofoam all around

That’s awesome! I’ll get the video put together in a couple days !
You can try turbro greenland dc inverter mini split, it can get fast cooling. It way better than conventional window air conditioner.
Also check out mcgie homestead adventures. He butchers everything!

I hadn’t considered that at all, thank you!
I looked for a butcher video but can’t find one. Great job on the cool room. I live in Australia and I am wanting to build a cool room.

The Bearded Butchers are great for that content!
Excellent job done. Could u kindly tell us what kind of Glue we can use for Styrofoam joints. Most of them spoil the foam.
What kind of foam board is that?
They also recommend taking off the front cover of the air conditioner

Nice build where did you get the insulation panels
Home Depot!

Oh interesting, I’m really unsure! Maybe call CoolBot, I bet they’d be able to give advice on that
They recommend having a 2ft all around the air conditioner if it's taking from an inside building

Can you tell me the brand name of the cooler, or does it matter? This is a great idea!
It really doesn’t matter which brand of air conditioner. It’s an in window air conditioner
fkn genius my guy
Id think a moni split would do a better job cooling & be more energy efficient.
