Joe Perry never played on the original recording of Lightning Strikes. He is the only original member who did not. He wasn't in Aerosmith at the time and neither was Brad Whitford who guested on the song.

Lightning would be a great addition for the Peace Out Tour. And since Joey won't be there, it'd be nice to get Russ Irwin on keys. He's about 74.2 million times better than Buck.

I know I was really surprised when they started playing it! I think he just really likes the song.
Saw them live in 1985 after Joe came back. Yes Aerosmith did this that night. Joe has said he likes the song a lot.
