- The accordion-making industry in Castelfidardo dates all the way back to the 1860s. To this day, the Italian town is still known as the home of the musical instrument, producing about 16,000 of them a year. Carrying on his family’s legacy, Marco Palmieri works alongside his father, Silvano, to handcraft the instruments at Fismen Accordions. Using the same materials and techniques that have been passed down through the generations, these modern-day masters devote months to building each accordion, laboring to craft instruments that are also works of art.

How does no one mention the Gabbanelli accordeons, they are the classics, at least for Mexican Music, accordeons are HUGE in mexico! Now they have many good one like Anacleto, Dino Baffetti..etc all made in Castelfidardo of course, but its intresting I would think Mexicans would be one of the largest consumers of accordeons by now, maybe im wrong😳😳
Gabanelli nowadays is all hype, great sounding but overpriced. Dino Bafetti beats them on everything

Anacleto are produced in Italy for hohner which is a German company, there is also Boppolla, Cantanbella and many others which are used for Mexican music like for Norteño
