We have these types of conversations at work "where would you hide a body" and we've all settled on an abandoned farm's well. We have hundreds of abandoned farm sites around so it would be a tough find

How deep are the wells? I think cadaver dogs could still track the smell of a decomposing body coming up from a well.

@@cup_and_cone you'd have to have a general idea of where the body might have been dumped for dogs to be effective. Cadaver dogs are generally used in situations where bodies are known to be but digging is difficult, like after an earthquake or tsunami.
Regular bloodhounds are used in defined search areas but they're more effective on TV dramas than real life. If there's an old farm in a search area it's a good bet there's an old well too so that would be an obvious place to look. You don't need a dog to figure that out but basically any dog would be able to detect a decomposing body in a hand dug shallow well, typically found on old farms. Pipe wells that are possibly a hundred feet deep or more can't accommodate a body but even if it could a dog could still detect the gases, which of course rise.
The point being if you're going to dispose of an intact body it has to be somewhere the authorities wouldn't think to search and is unlikely to be visited by hunters or hikers with dogs. Hauling a body long distances is risky because your car could break down or be in an accident or get pulled over by police. Long story short if you're planning on murder just don't because it's not nice and a lot harder than you think. But if you are dead set on murder then you're in luck because modern technology and chemistry provide extremely effective ways of getting rid of a body. The key is no obvious connection or motive between the murderer and the victim and don't make a habit of it because you're bound to get sloppy eventually. Have a nice day.

You can see those storms as early as 9:00 into the video.
Nice find on the diving flag.
Hopefully he's processing a lobster mini-season video. It started two days ago and goes through today, I believe...

Steve, that Hobie's a Boss! I see why you've kept her for so long. That was so awsome, watching you navigate back home. The wave direction and current, freaks me out. And it can turn so fast out there. 🙏 😎 🎣

Steve, Why don’t you use your GPS function on your Lowrance when you find a good spot you want to return to? Could easily return without having to spend time relocating it by sight.

Hey Steve, my dad and I absolutly love your videos. My dad has never really been into UA-cam but for some reason my dad is so into your channel and content. We are going down to marathon for 7 days and are renting a boat for fishing for 6 days. I was wondering if you would want to meet up and fish with us. We can explore far and I would like to learn things from you. Let me know if your interested and my father and I would enjoy getting to fish with you!!

Steve - what weather app were you showing with detailed winds hour by hour? As a paddle kayaker on the Gulf, wind speed and direction (by hour) are my decision variables when planning to go out (and be able to get back!) before the storms chase me off the water.
