4:55 Ok, I went to buy it when you said that! XD is same control in all the A-series but they just have more keys and wheels and I already have a M-Audio Keystation 61es so I just need the control. I wanna go for the S61, but I'm thinking maybe the S88 is worth saving up for because of the key Quality. I've never had a piano or a premium keyboard, so maybe the S61 will be more than enough already. Is the key Quality between the M and S keyboards a big difference? I don't really care too much about fancy screens and such. I'm more interested in playability and accurate velocity. Thank you for the video!
I started playing the piano on a keyboard with 61 keys. But if you really want to get into playing the piano no matter when, you definitely want to reach for an 88 key one, I promise. ;) It is a blessing experience and truly essential for many pieces. Hammer action is also something you want to look out for. Now this one is quite expensive, if you dont need all those fancy features for a DAW, you can get very great stage pianos or even big digital pianos for like half the money.
I have the S61 mk2 and the key action is light. For the price i'd have hoped for more similarity to piano hammer action keys. It doesn't come close. The S88 would be the better choice for full key range and better quality key action. How close to piano emulation i don't know.
bought the A49 recently as well after returning the M32. that was definitely the right decision for me. full-sized keys are the way to go and 49 keys seems to be a good sweet spot :)

Can't decide between the M32 or the A25. I'm keen on the M32 for the extra keys but the small keys felt dinky (compared to the S88 fatars) and the shop here didn't have the A25. Does that A25 fit a normal sized backpack?? What's your final thought. Any other makes that you'd suggest? I'm on Logic with Komplete and Orchestration samples.
Thanks for the video. It really helped clear up the differences. Out of curiosity, do you know how the keys on the S 88 compare to the Korg Rh three key bed?
Thanks for all your indepth videos *eye roll emoji* While I was being sarcastic there, I do mean it. I rolled my eyes because, well a few days ago I came on YT looking for videos of the Akai Studio v2 & Maschine Mikro Mk3 so I could decide which to get. I had a budget of $300. Both are under $300, I just needed help for which one to pick. Then I stumbled upon your video for the Studio, and almost ordered it after watching it. But I decided to sit and think for a day, and while I was thinking I foolishly started watching more of your videos because of how well you present them. After watching a few keyboard videos I knew I'd want a 25 or 32 key keyboard. As all I have's a Roland FP-30, which is huge and not well suited for heavy work in a DAW. So I increased my budget a lil', thankfully 25/32 key keyboards aren't that much right? Yeah, I'll be over my budget but whatever. So now I was watching your videos on hardware I wasn't even considering considering. Fast forward to today (2 days after watching the Akai Studio v2 video) I just placed an order for a Maschine Mk3 Vapor Gray edition, which is uhh, well not in my budget *chuckle* And I still want to order a keyboard. Thankfully, it looks like the Vapor Gray s49 is OOS everywhere so I can't order it. And I know you said the S49 "doesn't cost much more" than the A25. I'm seeing it @ $450, where the a25's $150. I wouldn't exactly say that's not much more lol. I have both the a25 & m32 in my cart and I'm going to watch this video one more time to help me figure out which to get. I have fat fingers so maybe the a25 would be best. Thankfully, they're the same price so either way I'm good, well except for the $699 Mk3 which put me $400 over budget on it's own lol. Kudos to Native Instruments for keeping the limited 25th aniversary colors the same price as the OG. Unlike Pioneer who charges like $800 extra for a gold colored model of one of their CDJ's or controllers. But back to your videos, I'm really glad I watched them because 100% if I had ordered a Mikro or Studio, I know I would have regretted it pretty quick. And far more than I'll regrett having to eat Top Ramen & Kraft Mac & Cheese for the next 2 months because I decided to order a Maschine + NI keyboard. You earned a subscription for sure, I gotta watch a few more videos so I can see what to order when I've recooped from what I bought today. I'ma go see if you have a review of Komplete 13 Ultimate.
Dada..today I went to buy MIDI CONTROLLER but returned without it, I just purchased KRK CLASSIC. I am confused Native A 49, keylab 49, or M Audio Carbon pro....I am still not that much serious but yes I would be starting it in next 3 years?? Which controller should I buy?? I think I should also purchase MACHINE MICRO or PRESONUS ATOM ...now What should I prefer? Please Suggest
Thank you Sanjay, for this video. Honest and comprehensive. ;) I'm still to decide on wether the S61 is really worth it over the A61.. I'm not a pianist..but i need a central/base keyboard, for my DAW with Ableton+Komplete 12. Judging by what you have shown here, I'm guessing i can do the same with the A series model, and later on, if i need a HammerAction keybed, with 88 keys.. i could go with a Studio Logic, for eg.. What do you reckon ? I can always add a MIDI controller like an Akai APC Mini, or sth similar, to substitute the Ableton navigation feature, of the S series. And since i already use 3 screens on my Desktop Win PC, i can always have one show me a dedicated window for the plugIns, right.. bypassing the S series screens.. Is this a logical line of thought, in your opinion ? Thanks very much ;)
If I were you, I would start with the S61. Its just a much better experience with your DAW and with Komplete Kontrol. If you can put the cash together, I think its just an awesome keyboard. Now...if you plan to use Ableton's Session view a lot to trigger clips, you're going to miss that feature. But you can always get a small keyboard or controller from Novation to cover those features. If you really want it.
@@SanjayC thank you very much for taking the time to reply . Your approach took me somewhat by surprise. I thought you'd recommend me the cheaper one. I've seen most of your videos..about these keyboards and I know you're a fan of your SL88. ;) I might go with that one..but rather due to the 88 keybed & weighted keys. I've just tried the A61 (although unplugged) at a local store, and I was pretty disappointed with the feel. I also thought 61keys would suffice but i think I'll need more space to 'breath'. For what I have understood.. the endless encoders and mostly all buttons are still featured on the A series. If it wasn't for the Komplete software integration I'd surely prefer the Novation 61SL..as the sequencer and Ableton navigation would be more useful, for me. Do you really stand behind the NI S/series so much? Are those screens really that useful? Thanks again, for your feedback.
Whats good my G I'm looking for a new keyboard because mine right now is the cheapest thing in my studio and just feels so shitty I got a Maschine Mk3 and I'm happy with it but the scales just won't help me play the piano Really need to save money for Diffusors Would you recommend me the s49 mk1 or mk2 because i already got screens on the maschine or is there a kompletely different keyboard with lights or no lights at all but just an awesome feeling ? much love from Germany
Hey BoJack! The screens on the Maschine will be just fine for you as long as you’re just using Maschine as your DAW. If you use another DAW then the screens on the S Series will be nice. The lights on the S are helpful if you’re not a keyboardist. They will guide you to the right keys. Overall the S series is my premium keyboard of choice. But again if you’re just using Maschine, then go for the A series. Don’t forget to upgrade your Komplete software collection. It’s 50% off now. Here’s my link to the sale bit.ly/2QA8XlC. Thanks for the support 🙏🏼
I think you're getting a better keyboard with the new A series compared to an old S series. The pitch and modulation wheels are so much better than the touch strips on the old S. But ultimately, my advice is to buy what you can afford.
Thank you SanjayC, there is an S49 sold without software. l assume that l could use as a midi controller as it is, is this correct? Which software would be suitable to get it off the ground? Would it be better to get a new keyboard with the software?
You don’t need the free included software. These keyboards will work as MIDI controllers without any additional software. However, you’ll get a lot more enjoyment using the Komplete software by native instruments which you can buy bundles for. But they also have a free version to start called Komplete Start. Google that and you’ll have all the software you need to get started and you can upgrade later if you wish. You’re not missing out on too much with the freebies. Maybe just a couple instruments, that’s all.
Hi Sanjay, Nice video. I have a S61 and really like it. I also purchased a S25 which I guess is now only available as the A25, but I was able to get one. But I had a hard time using it with my S61 and I sent it back. I had a difficult time getting to use both and was told by many that you can not have both working together, so I kept the S61 and got rid of the S25. Do you have any opinions on using both together?
I've never tried the old S series keyboards like the S25, so I can't comment on those. I actually think the S61 paired with a keyboard from another company like Arturia or Novation is a great combo. You get the best of two worlds.
@@SanjayC thanks for your advice. I will take it into consideration. I do have a couple of other keys like a Montage and a Korg Pa4x. But no other dedicated midi controllers per say. Although I am finding that the Montage can be used now with the new update quite well with Ableton, etc. So much to learn. Thanks again.
Hi Sanjay! The basic functionality of the M32 fits my needs currently - but I would love the light guides provided by the S series. Any recommendations?
Hi Krista. If you're unfamiliar with music theory, scales, chords, then the light guides may help. I don't use them at all, but I have a music theory training.
@@SanjayC Thanks for the video! - I went for the M32 for now, but I'd love one of the S-Series eventually - I was thinking that the light guides would be great for showing key switches for articulation, etc, and playabe ranges/splits. Since the key switches are usually outside the normal playable range, how big a keyboard (how many keys) is usually needed to be able to use key switching and normal play at the same time without having to switch octaves up and down?
Hey Sanjay great video as always. My question is how is it possible to plug in the Komplete Kontrol midi keyboards to the Audio 6 when the keyboards only have USB port plug ins. The Audio 6 needs XLM patch cords. Please explain. Thanks.
Hi Marc. The keyboards are meant to be plugged directly into your computer. You don't need to plug them into your audio interface. Do you already have one of these keyboards?
Sanjay C ok great I look forward to it & yes do have Live 10 Suite. Just for kicks and giggles I downloaded a trial view of FL. I think I made the best choice in a DAW. Ableton rocks. I still have a lot turn learn about it though.
Love the M32, but lately I’ve wanted more keys. I’m considering getting the S49. After the apple update the functions don’t control my daw anymore, not a big deal but I was jut wondering if anyone else had that issue?
I used to own an M-Audio keyboard. Honestly, I've never been "inspired" by the M-Audio keyboards. They don't make me want to play. You know what I mean? But people are different...you may really like it. For me, when I play a Native Instruments keyboard, I feel like composing. I'm not biased, I promise. The Native Instruments S88 was my dream keyboard for years. I think Novation and Arturia keyboards also have the right feeling as well. Hope I helped :-/
@@SanjayC alright, thanks for the fast and detailed answer! The M-Audio is just much cheaper and it comes with great software, maybe I should try it somewhere before I buy
Hello, may I know did u manually map the buttons(Scene, pattern, etc) beside the screen with the DAW you're using? My S88 MkII buttons(Scene, pattern, etc) with abelton doesn't lit up so I'm wondering if I need to manually map them to midi editor or etc? Sorry to ask a newbie question here 😅
Good question. The Scene and Pattern buttons only work with Native Instruments Maschine software. They won't work with Ableton and I have not found a way to map those buttons. If I figure it out, I'll let you know.
@@SanjayC Ahhh I see, I tried to map it to Ableton and I thought I missed something so it didn't work and decided to ask you here since I saw yours lit up and was wondering how u got yours to lit up 😅 Thank you so much for the reply
I want to buy my first midi controller to learn about music production but I'm very confused about to get m32 or a25. One has wheel other has more keys etc. Does it make a big difference for a beginner? Thank you for the video by the way!!
If you're a pianist, you'll probably like the bigger keys on the A25, but if you're not, then the M32 has the same features, smaller size, and more keys. The M32 is my fav keyboard released in 2019 :-)
I went to Guitar Center tonight to play with the KK MK2 keyboard and the salesman was telling me I don't need a DAW, like Logic that the KK Software is where you create all the tracks etc in. I'm completely confused now if I need Logic Pro or not now. I'm sure somewhere there is a video that shows creating a song from start to finish with Native Instruments and adding vocal tracks and producing a finished product. I just don't know what to search or look for. It was my understanding the KK Software was the instruments and you create your tracks in your DAW and record them and do it that way. Can you help clarify a start to finish song and what is needed?
The salesperson was wrong. You need a DAW. KK software runs as a plugin in your DAW. KK keyboards come with Ableton Live Lite which is a lite version of Ableton DAW to get you started. It also comes with Maschine which is a DAW as well.
@@SanjayC Thank you! I appreciate you clearing that up. I love all your videos, you do such a fantastic job explaining things for the newbies to understand.
Komplete Kontrol software is just a Kontakt wrapper and the way it is developed sucks. The interface is like from WindowsXP era. This product is not really up to the task and certainly has to be completely redesigned. Super hard to read, and almost no customization. I have endless problems with loosing library connection, plugins not being recognized etc. Instead of working on the music I keep fixing problems every few weeks
Its not. If you get Komplete 12, you get a good variety of sounds. Orchestral, rock, pop, edm, and sounds you can use for hip hop, etc. Its more varied than other software bundles like Arturia (even though I love Arturia). Arturia includes mostly vintage synths - no orchestral stuff.
I guess you mean, different instrument tracks to faders? That's done automatically. When you select Track or Mixer on the keyboard, it controls the faders in your DAW. It assigns the first 8 faders to the 8 knobs. Then you can use the right left arrows on the keyboard to move to different tracks/instruments. Which keyboard are you going to use?
@@SanjayC yes and also how to assign different instruments as far as if i wanted a piano, ep, synth, and bass, so i can volume up or down as i play live at church
Good question. I don’t have the Keylab88 myself, but the software integration will be different of course. Check out my Keylab 49 video to find out more ua-cam.com/video/TV_FsI8z-L0/v-deo.html
This is all overwhelming for me. Creating music has been my life passion and I'm finally going for it. My issue is where to start. So many Daws to choose from. So many awesome keyboard midis to choose from. My head is spinning after all this research. Is there a recommended set up that's not too cheap, not over the top but just right for someone who is taking this serious and doesnt want to quickly be in need of something more advanced than the minis and ableton lite? Will trade a big HUG for any advice.
If you're a keyboardist, then go for a larger keyboard like the A-series by NI or the Arturia Essential keyboard. I think you'd be happy with those for a long time. Start with Ableton Lite and if you like it you can upgrade it later. Or if you're on Mac, try Garageband.
Good review thank you, just purchased the S49 MK2 of the back of this!. Had the S25 but needed more keys. I imagine they didn't add pads because they have the Machine Mikro MK3 and would lose sales maybe?
I was testing the keyboards (and DJ controllers) in a local music store and was totally disappointed. It feels totally rubbish, primary the buttons could be made and feel cheaper. In this pricing class, there is much space for better quality
My little experience (S49 MK2). --------- LIKE: 1 - Fatar mechanics, 2 - Pleasant to the touch keys, 3 - The keys quiet (do not creak and not knock, unlike cheap midi clas, that it was important to me), 4 - Aftertouch --------- DISLIKE: 1 - Square design with sharp corners, like stump .. It looks very primitive. It is not comfortable to put a hand in the Pitch area - corners put on hand .. put physically and psychologically. Before that, I had a budget Midi keyboard of another manufacturer - the design was cool, streamlined, futuristic. 2 - Unreasonably cumbersome - it takes a lot of space on the table, and half of the space walks nothing busy .. Uzhos. And these two displays, I almost do not use. It would be better if the panel above the keys was two or three times less. 3 - Despite the fact that the keyboard is cumbersome, for some reason they have not placed at least a few faders for control ... It is not clear to me when these controls are even in cheap midi keyboards of other manufacturers. 4 - Pitch and modulation wheels are too cumbersome. Under them unsuccessfully placed the belt controller. When you turn the Pitch - in any case, you touch the ribbon controller and change its parameters. 5 - The backlight of the keys does not turn off, and also does not regulate its brightness, which is not very convenient .. Sometimes it interferes and puts on the eyes ... especially with dim light in the room. 6 - I did not find how to switch the presets in the usual midi mode through the Program Chang parameter. It is possible to assign only to the knob, which is not very convenient. Usually presets are switched by buttons by one value, and not spin. And it is spinning so fast that they slip through three. 7 - Even their native sampler Kontakt in DAW without a Komplete Kontrol does not support all this powerful backlight with zones .. native Kontakt !!! Very much damp and not convenient. (It works only with the running of Kontakt through the plug-in Komplete Kontrol, but it is not convenient, and there are no obvious problems there, as well as with such a use of a higher load on the processor.) 8 - Komplete Kontrol not convenient and not practical. Everything is loaded for a very long time, it sounds not as normal professional synthesizers ... the idea is good, the implementation is a complete garbage. It does not work as it should, and does not sound as it should. (I have many real synthesizers from 80-90, there is something to compare with ... everything works fast, clearly and beautiful ... I have a good idea of ??how professional instrument should work correctly 9 - I did not understand why the TS MODE function is needed, which should be activated via Shift on the Fixed Vel button. In the manual did not bother to describe her appointment. ---- Despite the many shortcomings, first of all, I was important to have a pleasant and quiet Fatar mechanics - I received it .... It remains to hope for the durability of German quality. A normal arpeggiator would not hurt, which would simply work with the keyboard in any DAW and in the midi mode with external equipment - without of Komplete Kontrol. Also did not hinder several controllers in the form of faders. If keyboard was more compact and licked without sharp corners - it would be generally wonderful. Well, it would be possible to add control of the brightness of the backlight of the keys, as well as the normal switching of presets of external synthesizer through Program Change.
Great video! I have the s61 mk2 and love it. My only complaint is that I cannot use program changes to change MIDI templates. For live playing, it would be super helpful to be able to automatically switch to the right template per song. Anyways, keep up the great work!
@@SanjayC I perform live right now with my Korg Kronos and Ableton Live...Setting up light zones to help me remember splits, sample trigger keys, etc., would be awesome, though, with the mk2. Plus it would be a lighter keyboard to carry!
OK, I see. I've never tried setting up my own zones on NI keyboards. I know Arturia keyboards and Novation keyboards can do it. Arturia's Analog Lab software just added some performance modes which you can setup zones for songs. Its pretty cool for performers.
Thank you for another informative and fantastic review. I'm wanting to buy the S series but I'm not sure if I should go for the 49 or 61 key? I have a 88 key Yamaha DGX640 (I'm not a great piano player, I dabble). Is 49 keys plenty for most things or would I be better off going with the larger one? Is there any difference between the S49 and S61? Also, looking for a drum pad and not sure if I should get the MK3 or Mikro? Are having the nice display screens an advantage to have on both keyboard and drum pad? Lastly, do you have a video or would you do one on the different Software Packages with advantages and disadvantages of them and what is good all around software package to buy? Thank you for all your great info and videos! Brian
Hi Brian. I think for most people the 49 key version will be enough. I really like the Maschine MK3 - it just has more features and its easier to use with those screens. If you can afford it, screens on everything is best. I have a video featuring the full Komplete 12 Ultimate - just an overview of the new instruments. ua-cam.com/video/r4VSiqGgfzU/v-deo.html

Hi Sanjay C, which pad controller should I get?
1. Presonus Atom
2. Maschine Mikro Mk3
3. Sensel Morph
Maschine if you want to make beats in Maschine software alone. Otherwise second place is Presonus Atom. I like it.
Would be cool if you'd highlight the price difference as well
True. I'll remember that for the future
Thank you, well done. My DAW is Pro Tools 2020. How much control of the DAW will I get? Should I consider a different keyboard for use with Pro Tools?
Love the M32! Wish there was an M49 though.
That would be a big mini keyboard!
@@SanjayC ha ha yeah, I'm currently loving this www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/5594-Voltage-Nucleus
@@SanjayC I wish that the M32 had a mute button.
Can you fix the length of a loop too live looping with the M32??? Like the Ableton push feature
S88 is super premium and super expensive 😂 but it's just amazing 😍 ♥️
Yeah totally agree. I think it’s a little expensive for what you get. But I still love it 🤪
Hi, thanks for this video! But do you if S Series mk3 will arrive soon?
I haven't heard anything about MK3 yet
It can connect with FL? Nice Overview!
Thank you Sanjay, for this video. Honest and comprehensive. ;)
I'm still to decide on wether the S61 is really worth it over the A61..
Which do you reccomend, the arturia midi keyboards or native instruments keyboards.
I just bought a S88, and need help getting the midi pedals I have, to work with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
7:24 can you please tell me what is that first hole which has a lock symbol
what does full-sized key mean ?? hammer-weighted function ?
Sanjay. What is your suggestion on 37keys controller?
Whats good my G I'm looking for a new keyboard because mine right now is the cheapest thing in my studio and just feels so shitty
I got a Maschine Mk3 and I'm happy with it but the scales just won't help me play the piano
Really need to save money for Diffusors
Would you recommend me the s49 mk1 or mk2 because i already got screens on the maschine
or is there a kompletely different keyboard with lights or no lights at all but just an awesome feeling ?
much love from Germany
Sanjay C thanks for the fast reply, what do you think about a used s49 mk1?
I think you're getting a better keyboard with the new A series compared to an old S series. The pitch and modulation wheels are so much better than the touch strips on the old S. But ultimately, my advice is to buy what you can afford.
Hi Sanjay C, which pad controller should I get?
1. Maschine Mk3
2. Ableton Push 2
Ableton Push if you’re a hardcore Ableton user for sure
I have Komplete Kontrol S49 MK2,Maschine MK3 with PC..What’s the best way to connect them?
Hey man, are you going to get Roli Lumi?
Hey JD, I'd like to try it, but not sure if its for me.
If you could choose 1 keyboard between the alesis v49 and the komplete kontrol A49/61 witch one would you choose???
Anytime. 👍🏼
Nice i m new subscriber of you
Hi Jagpreet! Thank you so much for subscribing! Where are you watching from?
Seems only con is that they are not in white. White is way cooler and easily readable things on the keyboard.
How important is the after-touch feature?
Sanjay C Yes I do, just purchased the Komplete Kontrol S49 this past July.
Sweet! Wait till you see my next video with some S series tricks! Do you use Ableton?
Sanjay C ok great I look forward to it & yes do have Live 10 Suite. Just for kicks and giggles I downloaded a trial view of FL. I think I made the best choice in a DAW. Ableton rocks. I still have a lot turn learn about it though.
So many people watching my channel use FL. I feel like I need to learn it.
sanjay ji you helped to chose a25
I would love and s25 but its not av ailable at the moment. Should I wait or go fot the A25?
Hwy sanjay whats the vst you use for guitar the one you was playing in the video
If you're hearing the bass guitar - that's the Scarbee JayBass
No the one you was playing chords.
“This is not a sponsored video but Ni did send me all these keyboards to try out.”
Lol wut?
Meaning they did not pay him for this video
Love the M32, but lately I’ve wanted more keys. I’m considering getting the S49. After the apple update the functions don’t control my daw anymore, not a big deal but I was jut wondering if anyone else had that issue?
What do you think about M-Audio products? Thinking about buying the Keystation 88
Will native instruments launch komplete kontrol S mk3 on this year?
will the software still work on fl?
No support for fl studio?
I know I'm very late, but can you tell me what's the chord progression in the first keyboard?
Great functions: the full size last keyboard
Yes! Its awesome. Do you have a full size keyboard?
Sanjay C hi im waiting for one from the Japanese experts
Ah I see! I like the Yamaha keybeds a lot.
Sanjay C ok!! Yes I am watching their site right now: good stuff.
Sanjay C hi hi the Japanese arranged a Yamaha Genos Keyboard for me. Okkk thx for your time.
The M32 is my fav keyboard released in 2019 :-)
@@SanjayC Thank you for response. Now I made up my mind :)) Good day sir!
if i could get a s49 with hammer action keys my life would be komplete
Can i use alesis piano with the komplete software?!
You can use any keyboard with the softwares im sure all of them can be configured.
Do they give you a free version of Ableton live when you buy a keyboard?
Yes, you get Ableton Live Lite - which is a scaled down version of Ableton. But you can still record songs with it.
Could you help us how to make professional music?
I want all the keyboards ever made, and I dont even play keyboard!
I wonder if the software is genre specific ?
Its not. If you get Komplete 12, you get a good variety of sounds. Orchestral, rock, pop, edm, and sounds you can use for hip hop, etc. Its more varied than other software bundles like Arturia (even though I love Arturia). Arturia includes mostly vintage synths - no orchestral stuff.
how do you assign different instruments to faders
I guess you mean, different instrument tracks to faders? That's done automatically. When you select Track or Mixer on the keyboard, it controls the faders in your DAW. It assigns the first 8 faders to the 8 knobs. Then you can use the right left arrows on the keyboard to move to different tracks/instruments. Which keyboard are you going to use?
@@SanjayC yes and also how to assign different instruments as far as if i wanted a piano, ep, synth, and bass, so i can volume up or down as i play live at church
How does the s88 compare to the keylab88?
Good question. I don’t have the Keylab88 myself, but the software integration will be different of course. Check out my Keylab 49 video to find out more ua-cam.com/video/TV_FsI8z-L0/v-deo.html
Hey you do very cool videos !! i follow you know.
And your track UNDONE is AMAZING!!!!!

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the nice comment!

I love my M32 but somehow I know I'm going to eventually end up with an S49 😉
I know what you mean. After having those screens, I can’t go back.
I was testing the keyboards (and DJ controllers) in a local music store and was totally disappointed. It feels totally rubbish, primary the buttons could be made and feel cheaper. In this pricing class, there is much space for better quality
My little experience (S49 MK2).
---------
LIKE:
1 - Fatar mechanics,
2 - Pleasant to the touch keys,
3 - The keys quiet (do not creak and not knock, unlike cheap midi clas, that it was important to me),
4 - Aftertouch
---------
DISLIKE:
1 - Square design with sharp corners, like stump ..
(It works only with the running of Kontakt through the plug-in Komplete Kontrol, but it is not convenient, and there are no obvious problems there, as well as with such a use of a higher load on the processor.)
8 - Komplete Kontrol not convenient and not practical. I have a good idea of ??how professional instrument should work correctly
9 - I did not understand why the TS MODE function is needed, which should be activated via Shift on the Fixed Vel button. In the manual did not bother to describe her appointment.
----
Despite the many shortcomings, first of all, I was important to have a pleasant and quiet Fatar mechanics - I received it ....
Thanks Mario! Do you perform with it?
