Hey Joe, I'm a student pilot, and have a question, I'm not familiar with the LA area at all, but it looks as though your flight took you right through the Disney Land TFR, any reason for that?
Hi Ron, no particular reason other than it was on the plan we flew. Per the "permanent" NOTAM, the Disney TFR has a radius of 3 NM and a vertical extent of SFC to 3000 AGL. However, it has a big exception in that the NOTAM also says that "the restrictions do not apply to: those aircraft authorized by and in contact with ATC for operation or safety of flight purposes, ..." We were receiving VFR advisory services from SoCal Approach on that flight so, because of that, we could freely fly over Disney.

Got it, I'm just starting my training here in the Pacific NW, and just wanted some clarification,
Thanks.
Ron Bowen I imagine you have some beautiful flights up that way. Enjoy!
