✨No one covers old Hollywood like you Jordan! I am sure many others agree with me. Thank you for covering Mary Pickford again. I remember your video from many years ago about Mary and Douglas Fairbanks. Blessings to you, Katie and Jah. ~Love&Light♥️C.
It's really kind of a shame that no one can go in and visit to take flowers to 🥺
Thank you. I was introduced to the legend of Mary Pickford while vacationing in Palm Springs back in the early 90's. I saw a movie at the Mary Pickford theater, and in the corner of the lobby was an exhibit of the life of Mary Pickford. I was so fascinated by what I saw that when I returned home, I did research on Mary Pickford. Thank you for showing her final resting place.
I used to read a lot about the old silent movie stars. Ever so often I'll read about a long lost silent movie being found. Mary was one of the greats.
Thank you, Jordan for sharing this history, I have researched Mary Pickford and have been a fan ever since. I love that she blazed her own trail, she was wise beyond her years. Rest in Peach Mary Pickford, a beautiful soul.
Ty Jordan I never realized how much Mary contributed to Hollywood, such a lovely person Ty for those, we must never forgot who made Hollywood 🤗🥰😎🐾🎶
I loved Mary Pickford!!! Her life was so exciting until the end. Thanks Jordan. Love old Hollywood. ❤
What a stunning resting place thanks for sharing with us ❤
A great talent, a pioneer, but also a wonderful soul from the very beginning.thanks jordan, take care.
This was an excellent memorial/documentary. I always thought of Mary Pickford as the 'silent movie star'. However, as you were relating her life story, I kept thinking how much she had in common with Lucille Ball. Both were pioneers in a brand new technology, both were great entertainers, both were business minded and of course - both were women, which couldn't have been easy in Hollywood. Many thanks Jordan for making me see Mary Pickford in a different light.
Thank you, Jordan for sharing with us Mary Pickford‘s life story and final resting place . She accomplished so much in her life and is a good role model to look up to aside from her shortcomings.. may she rest in peace. ❤🙏💐🌟💎
Another great VLOG by Daze with Jordan the Lion. What a fascinating life Mary Pickford had
🎥 Hey Jordan! Great vlog. reminds me of when you went to what was left of Pickfair. Thanks again!
America's Sweetheart was a Canadian!!!
Nova Scotia! ❤
@@MilesfromHalifax Mary Pickford was born in Toronto.
Interesting story. Rest in peace Mary. Thank you for sharing this with us. You, Katie and Jah be safe and take care. God bless.
Fantastic lady....I knew only a portion of her life b4 seeing your report on her life. How sad in the end. She was a beautiful woman. Inside and out yet no one is perfect. She did her best it sounds like. Love that grave! Thank you so much Jordan.!
.
Thanks Jordan. That is nice to see her again.
Glad you did a spot on her. I feel she’s forgotten and is possibly the most important ant actor/actress of all time. Not to mention, she has one of the best monuments.
Huge Mary and Doug fan!....thank you for this !!!!

Thank you. That was nice.❤
Thanks Jordan!!! 😊
❤ Wonderful video! I think it is so cool that you and Shelley Winters were friends. You are keeping history alive by contributing your experiences and research! Thank You!! ❤
This was very interesting ty Jordan.
You're a wonderful storyteller!
There is a theater in Bellingham,WA named the Pickford Film Center. The name pays tribute to Mary Pickford
Thanks for the video I enjoyed watching
I have a small book on her from the 1950s and it signed even a bio book on Lilian Gish it's signed too and a D.W. Griffith biography book. My dad is book collector but he passed away in 2021 at 83 of Parkinson's disease my dad, his book collection is a lot about 5000. This is great ur doing Mark Pickford she started out doing a musical in New York she was at first standing on the street or sidewalk screaming at top of her lungs to get the musical director attention and she did. I think it was a theatre that closed it's doors at that one play with Mary Pickford. She was out of work after that. Thanks for sharing this pics and your story on her, my dad like her and so do I.
Facinating. You are so good at what you do you are very knowledgeable. I love listening to your vlogs I found you randomly listening at work My first one was Vincent Price before Covid I was trying to watch/ listen to them all One day Ill catch up. Keep up the fabilous work!
Another great video Jordan. I hope you are able to get to winter dance party tour at the Surf in clear lake in February this year. They will announced the dates and bands. Should be a great event.
Enjoyed again Jordan and Jah
Wow!!! I loved this❤
thanks for the history
Great one Jordan, I always check if someone left the door open...but no luck. I give her credit in those moments because how fancy she is. I'm just another fan getting blocked by the railings.
Before today my entire knowledge of Mary Pickford was from things Jed Clampett said on the Beverly Hillbillies.
I’m so glad I decided to check out this video.
Interesting as always.
It is a shame that they demolished Pickfair it would be a wonderful place to see and visit.
I climbed that fence and took a peek back in 2001. Forest lawn would have kicked me out if they had seen me in their security cameras throughout the cemetery and especially the great mausoleum. 😊
Mary was given an honorary Oscar in 1976. She accepted it from Pickfair. It’s here on UA-cam. 😊
Mary Pickford is buried very close to Dave Chasen of Chasen's restaurant in Forest Lawn Glendale.
I'd love a pair of those shades my man...
Jordan, did you ever do a video on the Hearst Castle in San Simeon? I was there back in 1984 and it was magnificent!
Mary was a great star,in philanthropist her contribution to the arts as well as the motion picture retirement facility lives on.
I am always fascinated with not only your choice of stars but also with the amount of info you document about them; almost as if you knew them all personally. Have you ever considered joining the TCM team, because you would make a great addition
How do you join the TCM team?
Sorry, you don’t exactly join, you apply for a job there
I need to know how you got a key. 😂 great video!!
It is sad that as important as Mary Pickford was to Hollywood & acting, it is unfortunate whomever allowed her home to be destroyed.
America’s sweet heart was Canadian . She was born 1892 in Toronto.
She was born in Toronto Ontario Canada, and their is a plague where the house once stood. I think its located on University Ave, there is hospital there now. Maybe some of the places she worked at could very well be standing in the city as well I'm not sure as I left the city years and years ago........
Great video. That photoshop picture you used of the founders of United Artists was very strange; the original photo looks much better.
Her brother Jack was constantly in trouble. His biggest scandal was related to the death of his wife actress Olive Thomas in France. Apparently she thought she was taking a sedative when it was actually a medication Jack used for his syphilis. The medication ultimately killed her after a day or two of suffering. Some people thought Jack had done something nefarious.
Mary Pickford was born in Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 my hometown she was in fact a Canadian
She was a great actress
yeah, buddy is buried with his second wife. Beverly at forest lawn, Cathedral city, Ca.
👍😊
Her whole family and cousins are all in that marble box right there?
💯❤️👍😉
She was Canadian!
How’s your co pilot doing.
Actually I like old time show biz people that were a little more scatter brained. 😅
Was Pickford torn down?. I know you have covered many homes of different celebrities.
Hope you are safe away from the weather.
It was unfortunately torn down in 1990 when Pia Zadora purchased Pickfair....
I hear she didn't treat her two adopted kids very well, and they both died young. Must be a Hollywood thing.
Jordan, my sons LOVED Pete’s Dragon. They are grown men now. Did you know that Shelly Winters was in that Disney movie?
Ah, yes! She had a bill of sale right there!
What cemetery is this?
Forest Lawn….Jordan shows the entrance sign at the beginning of the video.
She doesn't sound appealing.
The video is on fast speed
No it's not
@@chrisburton4581. It is for me!!!!!!!!
Go on UA-cam settings and you will see the speed click on normal
@@jeanettenfreeland1408I think it's just you mine says normal.
I looked up Mary’s 3rd husband a Buddy Rogers. After Mary’s death he remarried and is buried elsewhere in Forest Lawn. His second wife is still living and may possibly be buried next to him. His headstone has an engraved picture of he and his current wife at time of his death. Live your channel!
His second wife died in 2007.
