  • In this video, I demonstrate using Good Vibrations Zero-Gravity trimmer strap on my ECHO SRM-225 gasoline string trimmer. I was originally disappointed when buying my ‪@echousa‬ SRM-225 gas trimmer that it didn't come with a shoulder strap of any kind. It seems for almost $200 they could provide a simple strap. I've used my string trimmer for years and recently started having some arm-fatigue after spending many hours trimming along my yard's fence line and around pine trees and flower beds. I decided it was time to finally try a should strap to see if it helps reduce the stress on my arms and hands. Rather than going with the Echo-branded strap, I've seen this Good Vibrations strap with the built-in "bungee" for many years and thought it might be interesting to give it a shot. Overall, I think it's a good product and I'll see how it holds up over time. It's a simple-enough product but adding the bungee does seem to provide an element of separation from the vibration generated by the gas internal combustion engine and high-speed speed spinning trimmer head. So far, I'm pleased with my purchase and found my arms were much less tired after using this strap.

If you're going to weedeat... let some line out. When you have ample line out... it goes much easier and a lot quicker.

You're definitely right about that! 🤣I wrestle with balancing letting out too much and the "auto-cut blade" leaving short pieces laying around my yard or I go the other way and have it so short sometimes I need to stop and remove the "speed-reel" and rethread the string because it pulled back up into the bump-head 😆Another challenge is trying to maintain the proper rotational speed so I'm constantly adjusting the finger-throttle...I tend to spin it slower where I'm likely to hit the house siding or the aluminum yard fence...both tend to get damaged when I'm spinning that line super-fast and strong but no damage when I'm taking it easy on that switch...I get "rusty" when I first use it every season until I get my "swing back" and keep the line length and rotational speed mostly-optimized for grass length and conditions. Thanks for watching and sharing your observational advice!

I don’t have a gas string trimmer, but any strap has help.
By the way, I was checking out your merchandise. Do you plan on coming out with a tshirt in heather or black?

I agree any strap would help…this bungee linkage does seem to provide a slight extra flexibility and shock absorption, through.
Shirt colors can be selected when ordering. I picked a slight gray color. UA-cam is aligned with a print-on-demand provider so no inventory investment. Hey, I see you have new channel icon…I like it! 👍

@@WorksIRL I figured, since everyone has seen my face, I would post an icon that makes me look like I’m thinking.
Do they offer any hats besides snap back?

@@DiligentDave1966 I like it…your channel photo 👍. I’ll log into that store and see what they’ve got. I have this vague recollection I couldn’t pick certain products and started to think maybe I needed a certain level of sales or something. I’ll review it and try to add some more options. Thanks for your consideration on it…I set that up pretty hastily when I got access to “store” so still learning how it all works…the vendor site is sort of hard to use in terms of finding products and placing in the “store”.

I had one, and with hardly 10 hours of use the bungee part broke.

I'm sorry your's broke with so little usage. I always encourage consumers contacting company's to notify them of poor product experiences especially one's like this that market their "unique design" among a sea of competitive, less costly alternatives. You might see if they'd stand behind it. Thanks for watching and sharing your poor experience with this product...Keep us posted if you reach out to the company to complain.
