Thank you for the easy tip. Just a quick note, you say measure a 1/4th an inch but the video shows you measuring 1/2 an inch. Still works just the same though.
Just so people are aware, she says to measure 1/4 inch, but actually measures a 1/2 inch strip. I’ve done both measurements and they come out differently. So actually measure your finger with 1/2 inch, because that’s what she’s doing in the video.

I’ve seen a lot of things saying that the ring size needs to be big enough so that it can be able to get over the knuckle or the ring won’t be able to get on. Should I do a size bigger so that it can be put on?
If your size 6 gets a 6.5 or 7 get a .5 up or just a full size bigger or get the exact size if you think your fingers aren’t going to grow much later on
I would say it depends how prominent your knuckles are. My mom has bony fingers and has to size up so it goes over her knuckles, but I have chubby fingers and the base of my fingers is the widest point
Did this exactly as described. I’m a finish carpenter so I made sure I did it correctly. The circumference of the largest knuckle on my finger is 2-3/4 inches. This corresponds to a size 13. I ordered a ring in size 13 and it’s enormous. Won’t even fit my big toe! What am I doing wrong?😳🤷🏻♂️
Haha, I'm SO glad to see someone else having issues with this too, so I'm not alone!! Why why why are we NOT doing this correctly?! When I do this technique, it says I am a size 11ish! Ha no way! Normally, I wear between 7-9 (usually 8)...so I'll pass on buying any rings that are size 11. If you figure out what we are doing wrong, please reply to this and let me know!! Thank you!!
Finally a useful tip. I just have one question although this video is old, i hope you write me back.i did exactly as you said and got 6.9 cm which is 2.71 inch. So the question is which one would fit better considering taking off and putting on the ring? Z? Or Z1?🧐🤔
Thank you. I watched several much longer and more complicated videos and then yours. And I have to say that I am so grateful for your simple and convenient technique. Thanks.
@@ObeyDaqSwaqq Thats MM not CM 💛 65mm in circumference hun. Which means around the finger instead of across. Just take that measurement of 65mm circumference and find the diameter. lol you said measure 1/4in wide... but you're actually marking 1/2in wide Not that it really makes a difference in the results. Just thought it to be noteworthy as my piece of paper came out much thinner when following the instructions :)
im so confused. i measure 2.5 inches, 63.5mm and i got size 11 on your chart? but im pretty sure my real size is 6.5-7 in real life. these ring charts are not accurate
Chart is wrong. According to you, Om a size 10.5, but I actually wear a size 6.5. Also, according to your chart, my husband is at like a size 16 or 17! Not even registering on the charts, but this is also incorrect as he isn’t that big.
I genuinely don't understand. Ice followed so many guides now and it always come out around 7.5cm - 8.5cm. All these charts end at around 65mm... I don't have very big fingers so I am utterly confused and annoyed.
Note: if the chart only goes up to about 26mm it's probably using diameter instead of circumference. So if that's the case just find out the diameter of whatever amount of mm you measured around your finger. For example: After measuring around my finger mine was 6.5cm which is 65mm. This is the circumference ⭕ So just look up the diameter for it if you don't want to use a different chart or if a certain company you like doesn't use circumference in their sizing chart

5 cm is 50 mm, so find a chart that uses circumference as a measurement and find one that matches with 50mm.
Note: if the chart only goes up to about 26mm it's probably using diameter instead of circumference. So if that's the case just find out the diameter of whatever amount of mm you measured around your finger.
