Purchase day Stinson 108

Today Riddle went to Arlington, WA to look at a Stinson 108. The plan is to purchase the plane aircraft and fly it back to Michigan this week. Riddle had already signed a purchase agreement with the owner contingent on the plane passing a pre-buy inspection confirming it was in stated condition. Let the adventure of purchasing this 7-0 year old tailwheel begin.

Is this a -1 or a -2? What was the purchase price? Looking forward to seeing the trip back to the Wolverine state.

This is a -1 that still has the Franklin 150 stalled. The purchase price on the aircraft was very fair for an operating Stinson. Both parties went over budget on the deal, the prior owner had to have the cylinder repaired and we have to return back to Seattle to pick it up. The experience so far has been fantastic and Riddle is excited to get the aircraft back to Michigan so do some Michigan side country flying.

What lead scavenger do you use?

I use TCP as a lead scavenger. The best solution is an STC for mogas.
