10 Days in Rome Italy | Kid Friendly Family Trip

10 Days in Rome Italy with Kids. Rome is kid friendly w/ family fun activities & the ultimate learning travel experiences for the children. We’ve been to Rome a bunch of times and actually lived in Italy before we had kids. So we did the usual must do sight seeing and mixed in the Rome Zoo, the kids museum amongst interesting museums and more. This was the last stop of our 2 month Italy summer vacation.

Day 1 - Arrive to Colosseum view apartment. Walk around the nearby shopping and restaurant streets.
Day 2 - Pizza, Shopping & Walked outside Forum & Colosseum
Day 3 - Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Explora Childrens museum
Day 4 - St Peters Square & San Pietro Basilica
Day 5 - Rome Zoo
Day 6 - Inside the Colosseum
Day 7 - Walked inside the Roman Forum to Main shopping street to Trevi Fountain to Piazza Navona
Day 8 - Alter of the Fatherland view Apartment tour. Piazza Venezia & Monument. Walked to Pantheon to Piazza Navona (Al Sogno Toy store). Favorite pizza shop
Day 9 - Museum of Modern art & Traverste
Day 10 - Airport Day
Our first apartment was amazing. It was looking directly at the Colosseum. It is actually the closest building to the Colosseum. And it was an affordable stay. In Rome we found a great website to book directly and it is much cheaper than Airbnb. We lived in this apartment for 7 days.
Our 2nd apartment was just as great. I thought nothing would compare to the room with colosseum view, but this comes really close! This view looks out to the Altar of the Fatherland monument and the main intersection roundabout in Rome. We lived here for 3 days.
Both rooms were centrally located and walking distance to the best sights.
Just walking through the streets of Rome & seeing the most incredible views free for everyone to enjoy. 🇮🇹♥️ Our favorites were just walking from the Trevi fountain ⛲️ passing the Pantheon and ending at Navona square. The kiddos loved playing up & down these empty Spanish steps. Then few cobbled stoned streets away we turn the corner to see the Trevi fountain. To get Broderick excited we tell him it’s Aquaman’s grandpa & he loves it even more. This was in the morning and we loved having it all to ourselves. But, equally enjoyed the vibe of people just hanging out, eating gelato and cooling off next to the fountain when we returned another day at dinner time. We threw some Euro in the water to make sure we return.
We’re going to miss this beautiful city.
