Figma is the best! I use it all the time for everything from thumbnail design to web design and so much more.
Web Dev Simplified so you can just download all the css ?
@@Cognitoman figma is just for creating a design. It is specifically geared towards web development and I believe that you can actually extract CSS from the designs but it is not meant for that. It is mostly meant to be a way to create a design quickly so you don't have to do the design work while coding.
@@WebDevSimplified yeah I use xd, but its very limited
holy shit it's kyle
whats figma
As a beginner, learning html and css now:
"Yes, yes I understand some of those words"
I wish your portion of antisocialism for the next year or two be nice.
Just like me you have a long way to go. I started programming 1.5 years ago. The first half year I didn't know what the fuck was going on since I didn't have any foreknowledge of programming (learned C# first, hard language to start with ime) and also the things around it like File Explorer, optimial Google searches I wasn't very good with.
The second half year I had to redo the semester and really went for it. That was when I realised I had to work hard to learn programming.
The 3rd half year/2nd semester I choose to study a different route within IT called IT & Media Design. It's basically a combination of Web development (HTML, Css, Javascript + frameworks/libraries) and Design (the whole Adobe package so Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Had to work harder than before to succeed the semester. Javascript was much nicer than C# tho.
Only just started my third semester.
Anyways don't worry if you fail. Learning how to program takes time. A lot of people in my classes are at least 2 years older than me. It's not your general study. You will never stop learning. Embrace it. Good luck.

am thinking of starting to learn web development. what platform did u use to learn html and css?
@@bac0n299 Sololearn.com is a quality platform to learn a variety of programming languages, but also for HTML and CSS you can learn the basics there.
When you start making your first website I would recommend using resources like www.w3schools.com/ and css-tricks.com
You manage to make me favorite many of your videos, something I rarely do. The key characteristic I would describe many of your videos with is "useful". Like, damn, you are one of the few content creators that actually manages to help me speed up my workflow and make a difference for me. That's impressive dude
I love hearing that. Basically everything I teach is based on real world experience, which is why I continue to do consulting while creating content.
For being an "accidental UA-camr" your content is damn professional.
Just take a look at my early work, I didn't start out with any video skill.
@@Fireship That doesn't mean you don't have good content ;)
I agree. Ive pointed all my coworkers to his Angular videos. So much info packed in to relatively short videos. I've watched the reactive forms video probably 15 times just soaking it in and I've recommend my team do the same.
"I may do a full tutorial in the future" sounded like ''I made you a full tutorial in the future" and I believed you lol
I love having a channel that goes like beyond just doing certain development and helps with all aspects of the web dev experience!

Cloud craft is useful to backend developers.
Please rename to "web developer tools."
Mostly frontend developer tools
*designer
Youd be surprised how much node.js is used in non web development applications. Its terrible...
True, cause for example git is also missing in his list
this is web development channel
big fan of these tips and your production quality is amazing. subscribed
Awesome! That's crazy how people can develop such amazing tools and give them for free on the web!
Thanks for bringing them up to us Jeff!
It's especially awesome to see high-powered software on the web with equally good perf as a desktop app.
@@Fireship indeed!
We, Linux users, really appreciate that because for example, the Adobe suite isn't available for us!
@@ruakij6452 hoped it would work, but never could make it
That's why the least we can do to payback is contribute our own hours or a little bit of money to open source projects. It's the best ROI we'll ever get!
Holy shit, Linux kernel developer here, And this list 10/10 transformed my life. I've never seen so much amazing tools, these are almost as useful as the C compiler.
When making this video I couldn't stop thinking about how useful it would be to a Linux kernel developer. Honored to hear I got a 10/10. The C compiler was number 8, so stay tuned for the sequel...
detecting sarcasm.
Ahahaha my thoughts exactly
And you still have java as your display picture.
@@debjyotibiswas3793 becuase you can't like java while being a kernel developer
This being the first video of his I have ever seen, I thought I had left the playback speed at 1.5x.since I often find myself speeding up tutorial videos, I found the pace of this video refreshingly quick and comfortable to watch.
The content was excellent, too!
Liked and subscribed right away.
Jeff is on another level.
Can't wait for flutter/flare integration!
Coming soon...
@@Fireship Thanks
Been looking into vector animations recently. Thanks for introducing me to flare!
I have to watch all of your videos. I've been writing code since the 80s and I always learn something new and 10x productivity when watching your videos. Especially when relearning about tools or platforms I've already researched and needed a different point of view. Thank you!
Wow one of the most useful videos I've seen in a long time! Thanks! Always great to hear another devs toolbelt
2019-
Fireship : I should be paying figma more than 0 dollar a month
2021-
Figma : Don't mind if you had to
For bundle size you can use extension in VS Code called Import Cost.
Incredibly informative, concise, and straight to the point. Well done!
Great video Jeff! Really cool to see Font Flipper on there 😁. Awesome to have someone like you providing constantly useful content for the community.
The tool at the end is probably what most senior developers need
what? the hair spray? XD
I loathe people that say this shit to try and "trick" people into watching until the end. Get a life.
@@dorondavid4698 that's a valid point there, don't you think? 😂
@@dorondavid4698 You must atleast watch the end to get the context what he is saying 😂
@@mayank_upadhyay_19 lol
I'm a 3rd-year Computer Science major trying to build my resume so thanks for this, dude!
What I like about this video is that it's short and not dragging for 20 minutes. Thanks
I've only just recently discovered your channel through the angular routing videos and this is amazing. I'm just getting started in the world of web development and all of this is really useful
C++ developer coming here and see that...
None of this tools are programming languages, so what has this to do with C++? (I'm software developer using C++)
@@daxtailor247 it has to do with almost none of them being Developer tools, and those which are dev tools are very narrow in scope (like a WYSIWYG editor in browser and GraphQL client), clickbait title and all
@@daxtailor247 where are you from..?
@@danio1021 Cannot agree more. World is full of these fucking script kiddies and it is annoying as hell.
@@zonemyparkour Script kiddies? With that attitude it'll be your own fault that you can't get a job in 5 years.
Postman works as well, specifically if you're working in team.
It's UI is very similar to insomnia, but it's being more team oriented.
(used both, now switched to insomnia)
You can share workspaces with insomnia as well. Haven't used Postman since switching to insomnia ~3 years ago, never looked back. Its so powerful
Can you guys tell me the main feature that insomnia have that postman didn't? I'm curios to switch to insomnia, but still not sure about the pricing.
@@cymonevo344 it's completely free unless you want some cloud saves, and it's open source
@@CyberQuickYT Yes, but it doesn't include team sharing. But this postman limit 25 request for free team is just about to be a burden too, so I think I don't have any reason to keep using postman. Thanks btw
Postman allows more free features when using in a team. When using alone u may use any of these
I like the editing style
Amazing, specially Visbug and Flare look awesome, Thanks!
Not Development, but I'd say that Asana or Trello are pretty good free project management tool that can help you organize your personnal / small team projects.
WARNING: frontend development...
Y warning ? Is it not good ?
CloudCraft and Insomnia are not front-end
Oh nooo I stepped on a mine
All the design tools mentioned are definitely not just frontend, but also game dev, youtube, app dev, software dev, modding.
But yeah like 3 OUT OF 7 of the tools mentioned are website/front-end specific.
Woah
This is awesome. Figma was the only tool I was aware of on this list prior to watching the video. Thanks for the awesome content! I can't wait to try out Insomnia!
Seriously these tools are awesome thanks for the info, Really appreciated your work.
I sometimes also really like web apps because of the easy "installation".
Number one tool: Ronco spray on hair
What a fantastic list of extremely useful tools ... that I had never heard of before. Thank you!
Man, how did I not find this channel before. So damn good work. I am truly inspired. Thanks for putting out good work
You've been my favourite UA-cam lately. Love you AngularFirebase.
Can I get a heart?
Yes you can, thank you!
Welcome to the club
Down voted. I have heard of every single one of these products last year when I first watched this video!
XD

@@obinator9065 I'm not. Why though? The name? BEENLEIGH
@MrEnxo Yep, tis true. Had me at Bundlephobia, which is freaking awesome!!
lol
Only knew 2-3 from the list above. Kind of cool to get information about such many more awesome tools available to improve productivity. 👏
Thank you. Watched this video a month ago and it has been very helpful. Great information.
uHAhuaHuaU i kinda need the hair product
Haha, I definitely need it
Legit the most useful tool I found in this video 😂
"My heart just pooped its pants" at 03:10 won my heart!
Thanks a lot man! these videos are really informative and helpful
I have heard of none of these, but they are all valuable to my workflows both professionally and personally.
Come to think of it, pretty much every one of your videos introduces me to something I didn't know that proves invaluable.
That was actually an *incredible* list
I already know there application because I watched your video twice xD
permission to downvote granted
xD I’ll not do it because I fell evil doing it
I subscribed to channel few day back and already loving the videos and your style of presenting.
Well, the tools I use are chrome developer tools which used by all, Compodoc, Augury.
Thanks for adding more tools to my list. Waiting for more awesome videos.
Some of your tools is mind blowing I can't thank you enough
5:51 i want that animation in my app as a splash screen ! Help me out
There's a missing web before developer (although I do not question the quality of your content)
Also, "designer" is misspelled.
I've never subscribed to a channel this soon. Thanks man!
I must admit I have not heard of any of these tools. Thank you for sharing.
Good shit but had to watch it at 0.75 speed lol
Mee too 😂
For real
Figma a users, how does it compare to adobe Xd?
better use adobe Xd if you are not mac user. It requires you to upload sketch files.
Dude as someone who's new (1 year) to web development, your channel helps me so much!
thanks man i am a student...i did not knew about Flare it look awesome looking forward to use it 😁✌️✌️
I'm here from misspelling UA-cam
Actually, none of these tools are specifically geared towards frontend web development, either. BundlePhobia is a performance enhancing tool, CloudCraft is a backend architecture tool, Figma, Fontflipper, Visbug and Flare are frontend DESIGN tools, and Insomnia is for testing and debugging backend api's. So, technically none of these are development tools per se except for Insomnia, which is not for frontend development. These are only tools that would aid in adjacent aspects of frontend web development.
Oh my, when reading the title I didn't expect it was going to be so useful!! Thank you
Thanks for sharing the tools man. Flare seems to be a top notch software, I'm gonna check it out
For REST client I use postman, which has the same features and much much more.
"7 Amazing Web* Developer Tools that you're not using yet"
Well I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised with how cool and useful some of these seemed!
Yep, ok, this is damn good content. Subscribing and watching your videos from now everytime you deploy something. Thanks man
"I really feel like I should be paying them more than zero dollars a month to be using this thing"
This is literally me after almost all of your videos
click on ads
remove that fucking ad blocker extension
Make sure to watch the entire video to catch the 8th 🥚 easter egg 🥚 recommendation at the end
Hahaha, got it! I'll use it in another year or so :P
Is it the hair spray? Nice
@@MrJona9999 Yes, good looking hair or GLH for short :)
i love your content again i use some of them yet some of them i got to know today and its important as a developer as it helps in a long run while developing in a fast pace delivery. Thanks :)
Excellent introduction to these tools! Thank you!
216 people already know about the tools...
I was surprised when I installed Insomnia that I found my antivirus detected and block this:
......../insomnia-node-libcurl/curl-for-windows/libssh2/docs/hacking.crypto
Made me distrust Insomnia
Your antivirus literally flagged a text file. Look up libssh2 on Github.
Excellent case of AV software being nothing but snakeoil...
@@MoonShadeStuff I'd rather have a couple false positives than false negatives.
Can't wait to use Figma! I've also been using Insomnia for over half a year and never looked back to Postman :)
Nice summary. There were a few here I have not heard of before and will definitely be checking out. Thanks!
Pls insert subtitles lot of deaf don’t have access to ur videos 😭😭
[music]
Hope this helps
youtube closed captions isn't really that great, but it's better than nothing.
click the CC button on the video window
The only useful tool I can see is Insomnia which is a copy of postman.
It's nice to get an alternative, postman has it's fair share of isues
I have both installed. Mainly use Postman because of the pre request scripts.
Excellent list of useful tools here Jeff. Thank you
You sir, are a developers hero. Thank you for the 10/10 content
Make, vi, bash. Thats it 🤷🏼♂️
gcc will never let you down
"Developer tools"
*Shows design and system infrastructure tools
Fantastic video, heard of a couple of these, but never used. Great videos. I like your speed; if something interests me, I can go back and watch at slower pace, but I don't get bored waiting for something new.
Awesome. You are the man, man.... keep it up, you don't know that it is how much helpful for developers.
Of course i am not using that tools. Because i'm a real developer/programmer 😂
Webdev is just as important as anything else, we're not superior because we use C
But I agree, it's annoying to click on a video expecting some great knowledge and being completely disappointed lmao
@@fabislost Did he say it's not important ? He just said that a different thing and thus should be named differently. The people who design the position of the driveweel on a car for sure is important, but what he do is just not mechanical engineering, nor is the one who set up the stock in different sale points. Saying that a cat is not a dog is not an insult over neither cats or dogs, so why should it be different here ?
just my 2cts...
@@lolaa2200 he said he's a "real" developer, so i figured he's saying that doing webdev is a joke, doesn't make you an actual developer and is not of importance, just my interpretation though
@@fabislost Design.
Useless heading,,, it's dedicated for web developers and more for frontend
Personally I enjoyed the video. It is pretty easy to complain on the internet, maybe go try making something. I eagerly await your better video...
I never said I make better videos 😁😁
I have just started learning web development and your channel is a wonderful resource!
Those tipps were awesome, mate!! Keep it up! :)
I love your videos but you "uptalk" at the end of almost every sentence. It's fixable.
This video should be named "7 Amazing *Web* Developer Tools that you're not using yet". I develop software not web applications... 6 minutes of my life wasted.
web apps are software, lol
Figma, good. Thanks for the XXL list of time saving tools.
Hey Jeff, thanks for such good content! I'm curious about how you learned to design.
This was actually really great. Thanks for caring about your content. Liked and subscribed.
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing!
This is a brilliant list going to try and start using them myself!!
Dude, I wish I saw this sooner! You rock bro!!
Didn't know a single one. Thank you. Subbed.
Thanks bro some of these tools are awesome... As a cs student and learner i find your content very useful...
Visbug is one of the best extensions to recently come. I use it on a daily basis to make live mockups for clients when they request a change on their site; makes it easy to adjust their demands as well as impressing them haha
The animations and music are awesome. I usually come here for that.
So amazing ever ! Thank you Jeff !
your voice and way of speaking is so amazingly smooth and soothing... its like music to the ears...
Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️
