Resonite is beautiful but can feel kinda overwhelming for people who don’t know much tech or aren’t interested in MAKING things. This video does a REALLY good job of showing how even if you’re not actively creating things there’s still a ton of fun things to do for the more casual audience!
It definitely has great potential. I love it and I hope it actually grows more in popularity. You ca create stuff + having an inventory system to share and use created stuff like guns, toys, furniture, etc. Making stuff while you're in Resonite is insane. You even can make your own world on it too!
Your previous video on resonite actually got me into the game and its probably become one of my favourite games of all time. So thank you for that video and this video covering the game (again) as hopefully it'll put more people into the same situation as me.
I've been playing Resonite more and more over the months and I agree so much with starting small. I had big ideas to bring a majority of what I had on my VRChat model into the platform, but was a very difficult to do with little understanding. I took my time, set up a normal model and now have slowly been learning how to do things like toggles and menu customization. It takes patience, but you get to learn from an amazing community that are extremely talented. And don't be afraid to ask people for help too! I have a group of people working with me on bringing in a VRChat world prefab to be within Resonite also! It's been a lot of work, but the collaboration helps SO MUCH!
I think whoever came with the idea to host jams inside of Resonite should get a raise! It is a brilliant way to showcase what can be done while also building a comunity and ending with a bunch of cool new world and projects. the more i see about Resonite the more i want to jump in a check it out
Hi, I used to stream using the twitch commands and can say that they have been my most interactive and engaging streams to date. (Last I heard the nodes are almost all broke atm but I fully plan on doing more with Resonite in the future if/when those nodes are fixed. Fingers crossed.) The possibilities are endless, and I also share the opinion that content creators are sleeping on this as a great tool to make higher quality content. Glad to see people being sponsored to talk about this stuff, good stuff!
Collaborative content creation was one of the things I was most scared we were going to lose as Second Life got older and older with no one really doing the same thing. It's one of those things that you don't realise just how rare, but important, it is until you experience it. Genuinely so happy to see Resonite has picked up the mantle and carried it forwards. NeosVR was a contender, but we all know how much a mess that was.
As someone who migrated over from Second Life myself, I fully agree! It's the same creative spirit, but it gets much less in your way with limitations. Also land is free! :D
I haven't really kept up with the development of Resonite but I think it's cool that it gives content creators a new online space to explore. Or just anybody online who's curious.
Hey thanks for making a video on Resonite! My crew at Contacts Plus host a podcast every Saturday within Resonite with a live audience! If you find yourself within Resonite again and want to be a part of the show stop by and say hi!
Awesome video! Also super happy you're enjoying Cloudscape Harvest, a lot of work went into that. I think the most important part I'd like to add is that Resonite is really for everyone. It provides all tools you need to build something, but comes with no obligations to actually use them. You can also very well just play games, watch videos with friends and hang out. This part of the community does exist as well. That said, chances are you might get curious and try creating a thing or two even if you didn't plan to during your time there, the platform and community has a really beautiful effect of inspiring creativity in everyone!
Thank you so much for showcasing Resonite! Theres a LOT of potential for the platform and just talking about it and showing others whats possible, helps so much! 💙
You can do anything you can imagine, together with friends. Pretty objectively the best VR social/creative platform available. Great game, great team behind it, and great showcase video.
Awesome video! I've been having a blast since I joined Reso 3 months ago. And the best part is how easy it is to make friends because of the collaborative nature of Resonite. It's so much easier than in VRChat, where you mostly chat, while in Resonite you also play together and share knowledge (much like in Garry's Mod). Oh, and there are two features that I feel should get more attention: importing and meta memes. You can drag and drop different files directly into Resonite: streams, videos, images, photos, audio, 3D models, to show things off in VR (or in desktop mode). And you can program 3D effects into meme videos, creating meta memes. Anything you can imagine.
Awesome video! you can do really a lot on Resonite and it has been a big change for me in life :3, Building, making new friends, learning new things, making video's, making events... you can do so much and it only keeps on growing!
That was pretty cool! Definitely glad to see this platform continue to grow and develop. It's such a neat project. I'm still mildly intimidated by thought of coding things in here (as a non-developer), but it's neat that it exists.
I am actually surprised my old world jumper item was featured for half a second (and that was one of my first and small projects on there), but that made me happy XD very good video. Looking forward to maybe seeing you on Resonite more often as well :3
As soon as I heard of Resonite, I immediately went to support them in patreon. While I didn't get on enough. This video got to motivate me to try again on creating and interacting with people :) I'm way too shy xD
Great video this really demonstrates resonate well we really appreciate this 1:31 in the latest Dav log there's a setting planned so you can enable or disable trackers the video is called "Working on Vive Tracker Settings" there's a group called tracker settings with a toggle for using trackers
Good to see more coverage on Resonite, glad some of the issues I didn’t really mention are already being addressed (mainly the UI, lol) and can’t wait to see what else they’re cooking up by the time I come back to see what else I missed!
while we have VRChat as the closest thing we got to The Oasis from Ready Player One (the official Oasis beta doesn't count as it's been abandoned shortly after the first movie), I can see Resonite being The Oasis as it's VRChat and Garry's Mod/GMod combined which is basically what The Oasis is, spawning objects, saving things, custom avatars and worlds, being able to create stuff for commissions within the game, etc, but it will take some practice of course, so if Resonite can gain popularity like VRChat, then we might get a lot of stuff ported, VRChat has sadly slowed down on custom content made by fans of things, while some fandoms still thrive there, I hardly get a lot of content in most things I'm into, heck some don't ever get content, I'd love to learn to create for these 2 games some day, heck I may port my game to those 2 one day after I make it so who knows
I like what Resonite is going for. It seems like the most capable metaverse platform and not controlled by some mega corp. Second Life was great for its time when I was building there because in world building and collaboration was a novel experience but primitive (pun intended) and spendy. VRC nails the social activity part, but content creation is offline and a bit of a chore to iterate and experiment. Visual flow programming has always been an interest and VR seems to be the medium it was made for.
I played Resonite for the first time today, due to an original lack of hardware, met cool peeps and imported my first (slightly jank at the hands) avatar, which I use as my main now, a model from Ready Player Me. Pairing that with a hoverboard one of them gave me, and I feel like it's Back to the Future again.
I might not be so ambitious as to create much more than my most basic avatar in Resonite, but it is a fun and unique platform that I love to hop on, explore, and sometimes meet people when I'm in the mood to actually join something that has more than just me and maybe one friend in it. Compared to a more static platform like VRChat, well, there really is no comparison; Resonite, and NEOS before it, covers the social aspect very well, and then expands on it with an entire collaborative development environment for the mad lads who actually use it for more than just their avatar.
I'd be up for joining that trip if timing works out! I've only had a brief time in, but it was rather neat - especially the ability to bring stuff (games, fidget toys, etc) wherever, rather than needing specific worlds. (I had set Resonite aside until I fixed the broken trigger button in my Vive Wand, then simply hadn't gotten back to it for lack of time.)
I had to pause right before you started talking about worlds because just that first bit amazed me so much lol. I really need to upgrade my PC and get a newer headset. The whole idea that I can have one avatar that just does basic stuff, but build it up to do more complex or fun things without having to sit down and plan that all from the ground up in a 3rd party software, regardless if I'm doing it myself or paying someone to make it then upload, is amazing. Just being able to have an inventory is crazy as that can let me add stuff without the need, instead of having to insure that I have everything I think my character will need locked to certain emotes or workarounds that don't really do anything and such like VRC. Now if someone can figure out how to make clothing/armor/equipment that fits any model (barring real crazy models, as funny as seeing a tentacle leviathan running around in a 5 piece suit he found in the game would be that would be hell from a programming angle I'm sure) this game will become the embodiment of what VRC and MetaVerse wish to be on par with RP1.
I don't think you'll get clothing/armor to fit "every" model. Even in SecondLife (SL) which has had 2 decades to try and solve that issue while having a standard humanoid armature (which VRC/Resonite doesn't have). People weren't able to get clothing to work with "all" mesh avatars. Each mesh body is so drastically different it is basically an impossible problem to solve even for just normal humans. However taking a tip from SL. If someone who makes a standardized body can setup their avatars work with community created clothing, and with modular parts (such as a removable head, lowerlegs, forearms, etc.) you can then customize that standard body to have a huge selection of clothing options and looks that the community can support, and I do see this happening once we have a licensing system (seeing as I'm willing to help people learn how to do this)
@@azavit Yeah, figured as such. After typing that up and thinking on it, that would be about the only real way to resolve it. I ain't got a lick of practical knowledge in the realms of coding/modeling and just going off the many random bits of info I have so far in that field and what was explained in this vid. One idea considering the nature of this software/game being that you could edit the gear to fit correctly if that would be viable. This would perhaps allow "general" clothing for everyone and let folks like me have something to tinker with to learn the basics. Pop a T-pose copy of my avatar up and dress 'em up, adjust things to fit the model and have the model do various movements so I can find spots where it ain't right. Maybe even a function so if you have fur tufts or something you could be able to "paint" it so it doesn't clip through if you don't want it to or even just adjustments to the clothes if the model has practical functions. Just an idea from someone with limited knowledge on such things.
This is awesome, reminds me of the scene in ready player one where they go in to the garage and iron giant is being built. Its cool to see a game where you can make what you want if you have the knowledge.
This video made me so excited!!! I’m sold I need to go check resonite out. This seems much more like the “metaverse” we always dream of than the more static experiences in VRChat (which are still wonderful in their own way.) Oh the ending was a little abruptly haha
Now the key is to find a way to do what Star Citizen is doing with its servers and make it possible to have servers control sections of a universe. That way players can build anywhere in the universe, and since it is modular the universe can be expanded by adding more servers. The universe could also transfer anything between servers, allowing players to seamlessly transition through the servers in the universe with whatever they may have or create. Then you could also have personal sectors people can get that protect their sector from being influenced by another or for when people want to make protected creations like games or other specialized creations. Or something idk. I am just naming off things I think would be cool for a true final modular expandable VR system that would allow any kind of creation possibility as long as enough servers can be established. Also a modular server design would allow for maintenance on certain servers without dropping the entire universe for maintenance. Would allow people to keep doing their thing if their section is not needing maintenance.
Seeing someone talk about my favorite Metaverse Platform is great, but now I know the mentors better be ready, 1.1k in 2 hours is nothin' to scoff at XD I also look forward to the chance of more creators comin' into the platform!
I don't wanna be that guy, buuut. First 30 seconds and I haven't seem a single avatar that's not a variant of the anthropomorphic animal style that's already everywhere.
Can’t deny - there’s lot of furries in this game. Although I’ve seen some communities of humans and weebs too. You can import whatever avatar you want.
Being a PC only platform with a very limited audience and a uncertain future, I think it will be very difficult for Resonite. As a developer, spending so much time into a platform, this uncertainty makes it a really difficult to decision to start there as it can all be gone instantly. In other platforms that is using a Unity-uplaoder, I still have all my assets even if a platform shuts down, so months of work into a world is not gone. Any good platform needs some ind of hybrid sytem between unity and an ingame building system. I dont think there is one right now and until this doesnt happen I rather stick to the classic Unity upload system (That also allows for a lot more optimisations, especially for the weaker quest devices.)
Major optimizations for Resonite is the next major development priority. There's some big things planned that when implemented will likely improve performance a lot, but we'll have to see by how much to judge if standalone (Quest) support becomes feasible afterwards. I'm optimistic that we'll get there. Some of those are restructuring the engine to a process-based architecture, which will enable switching to newer .Net runtime for most of it, as well as the new rendering engine that will completely replace Unity once it's mature enough. In regards to being locked into a platform, I understand your concerns. Resonite already allows you to export objects and worlds as various 3D model formats, for example FBX, GLTF or BLEND files, but those come without any mapping of logic. ProtoFlux currently doesn't exist outside of Resonite, so custom code is hard to transfer. You can now also export complex objects / avatars as a ResonitePackage format, which contains all assets within, and even though currently Resonite is the only application being able to read it, but in time (or in the event of a catastrophic issue), someone of the community will surely make a tool to extract the assets from them directly (they are just ZIP files with the assets and JSON files inside). There's a couple of large features in the future that will help with that though. Notably there is the planned option to create logic / scripts using WASM, which if you end up going that route would make your code much more portable and give you the option to migrate it to another engine if you have to. There's also a planned Unity SDK which would allow importing / exporting from / to Unity directly, and since it would be an entire SDK, also allow mapping custom logic and functionality between the two to an extend. I suggest upvoting the issues if you think they would benefit you on Resonite's Discord, to let the developers know those are things you value. That said though, depending on your workflow, you might not be super locked in to begin with. Personally I've always made individual assets and materials outside of Resonite using the likes of Blender, Substance Painter and Co, so having access to those files already makes them platform independant. Even if I make something like a procedural texture in-game I can easily export it as a png. And I'm also not too concerned that Resonite is going to disappear overnight. The developers are very transparent about their business, long-term goals and challenges, for example they've publicly announced their first financial report of Q1 2024 in a the monthly recap livestream on March (it's also in text form on Resonite's wiki now!), and they do work closely with the community to figure out what to focus on next based on majority request.
I'm actually very interested in this. I don't know if it will become my main social platform, but I absolutely intend on using this to create stuff myself. I feel like it could be a very useful endeavor to grow my game development skills.
I think I might buy a headset to build something like anime weapons or tools... I love creating... (And your fantastic video, of course!...👍) Thanks for the recommendation, i think I might like it...
this is the SL of VR and im for this. I just started wandering around SL and was like "alot of wasted potental since they missed out on vr" WELP here we go. Ima dedicate a weekend to this i think. also whoa whoa whoa the MOVEMENT can be changed. I have like a set of like 200 skateing animations that I never got to use in VRChat becouse i dont understand locomotion layer stuff. and some cool af hover skates...now i need to do this
Some of the biggest hurdles for any new social VR platform will likely be overcomming the network effect advantage that VRchat has along with all of the sunk costs that people have in VRchat.
Very interested in this platform. I don't have VR-capable hardware, but I loved the spirit of collaboration in Garry's Mod/etc., and so Resonite has become a bit of an obsession of mine. ...sooner or later I'll get up the courage to see how it is 'flat'...
I really wish Resonite (well it wasn't Resonite but I people know what I mean) picked up during the VRC EAC rollout. I know my group checked it out and I met some cool people. I'm sorry I haven't been back on to hang i've been spending less time on VRC as well and just overall doing other things. Resonite reminds me of a more modern Secondlife and I really miss that kind of world. It's just so hard to make the switch when most people I hang with are on VRC and have no desire to switch over. I am gonna have to get on and check it all out again at some point.
I'm a past Second Life player myself, and migrated over to Resonite after the communities I was active in slowly dried out. Resonite definitely has much of the same magic that made me originally invested in Second Life, so chances are if you're a SL veteran you'll probably enjoy it (also land is free*!) My suggestion would be to organize a little Resonite tour with some of your friends if you can. It's similar to the concept of world hopping, just that you're having a field trip to an entirely different platform. It's also never one or the other, both VRC and Resonite have their own unique experiences to offer, and have pretty different goals, so there's no need to decide on one.
@@JackTheFoxOtter There's a small chance I could get some to pop over for a night but I feel most are gonna be all "we already did that" lol. It's all good, i've been wanting to check out Resonite again for a bit I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm not exactly a busy person but I have a "too many things I wanna do not enough time" problem lol. It would be nice to make myself a little place to chill at and on those nights I know i'm gonna just sit around watching youtube anyway I could at least do it somewhere cool. That was definitely one thing I enjoyed about SL. Made myself some simple earrings one time and was pretty happy with it, and months later had this idea to make a pair of headphones for myself. They weren't the fanciest or anything of course, but it was cool to have something I put together.
I've played second life for... most of my life now, but recently have been really into VRChat and making stuff for it. But it's been kinda killing me that live editing worlds isn't a thing, and i honestly prefer the single, consistent regions in SL to VRChat's instances most of the time. I haven't tried Resonite out yet after hearing about it a few months ago, but I'm very, very interested to see where it goes as I suspect Second Life won't ever get a proper VR version. Meta's plan to open up the App store makes this even more exciting, assuming the dev cares to maintain an android version one day.
The long-term plan is to get Resonite running on as much hardware as possible, including mobile (android). But this is likely still quite a while out, there are a bunch of improvements and performance optimizations to the engine and renderer left before that becomes feasible is my guess. Resonite doesn't have Second-Life sized worlds (yet), but there are some things planned that might enable a sort of connected overworld like that some day. The real-time editing functionality is insanely powerful and fleshed out already though!
game could definitely be an upgraded vrchat but I imported my model and couldn't find a way to make the shaders work + the controls were a bit weird (using a pico 4) like grabbing the sun and no way to let go, same for some tools... didn't manage to find a way to add facial expression either. So yeah, it's not like I wanted to leave, game is still installed, but just didn't have an incentive to go back
i always say this but i think resonite needs 2 modes for the UI like a Creater mode and a simple mode, Creator mode being full access to the systems available to resonite and consumer mode would just be like an avatar selector world selector friends list and inventory and just have an option in the setting to toggle between the 2 modes and on first launch you get prompted to select which UI to have on as default, because overwhelming ui can be bad when people only want to consume the available content in resonite so haveing a friendly UI for casual play would be huge
This has been brought up a couple of times, but instead of splitting it up into two modes, the way forward will be continuously improving the same UI, it should just be easy and intuitive to use for everyone! The current UI is not designed to be difficult to use, it's just not finished yet.
A buddy of mine does a weekly set in Resonite for our small group, the scene is still developing but the potential is huge. The biggest problem is player count in instances - typically, Resonite worlds will functionally cap around 20 players before it starts getting unstable. Still, if you're okay with the smaller numbers or spreading across a few instances, I've had a lot of fun watching my friends do some DJ'ing in it :)
@@Nerdosaur nice to know. thats what I do in VRChat dance and attend events. But used to 80 ppl sometimes, got good GPU but will resonite get more players in instantces, since 20 ppl can't "compete" with VRChat scene.. P.S Im not looking for a new home, just more homes or a "cabin"

@@Random-xw3qc You only need a computer that can support steam to play Resonite...
If you want to play in VR you can use any VR headset that can use SteamVR (which includes quest headsets and any VR headset you can connect to your PC AFAIK.) you do not need an index specifically nor base stations if your headset doesn't use them.
@@Random-xw3qc i mean you dont really need an index tho, i play it with quest 2 connected to my pc
Heck yeah!
Glad you have found success
Glad people understand that.
@@JackTheFoxOtter Not having to pay 300usd a month for a sim, sign me the hell up.
It's so surreal seeing Save The Ring featured. Awesome video.
Thank you so much for showcasing Resonite! Theres a LOT of potential for the platform and just talking about it and showing others whats possible, helps so much! 💙
My pleasure!
You can do anything you can imagine, together with friends.
Pretty objectively the best VR social/creative platform available.
Great game, great team behind it, and great showcase video.
Thanks SO MUCH for making this video, im an active resonite player and getting more people on the game is always amazing to hear about! :D
Im cracking up over the fact that a small team of passionate people yet again beat the full force of the Facebook company to it again xD
Looking forward to maybe seeing you on Resonite more often as well :3
Fits well on the wrist.
Alright, I checked it out six months ago and it's come a LONG way it seems. I'll be hopping back in to learn!
As soon as I heard of Resonite, I immediately went to support them in patreon. While I didn't get on enough. This video got to motivate me to try again on creating and interacting with people :) I'm way too shy xD
Great video this really demonstrates resonate well we really appreciate this
1:31 in the latest Dav log there's a setting planned so you can enable or disable trackers the video is called "Working on Vive Tracker Settings"
there's a group called tracker settings with a toggle for using trackers
Good to see more coverage on Resonite, glad some of the issues I didn’t really mention are already being addressed (mainly the UI, lol) and can’t wait to see what else they’re cooking up by the time I come back to see what else I missed!
This is kind of thing that makes me want to get into vr. It looks so neat.
The moment resonate gets better performance than VRChat, Resonate will become the better game
seeing games like this always make me super excited for the future of vr, I've always wanted to have something like the oasis from ready player one
while we have VRChat as the closest thing we got to The Oasis from Ready Player One (the official Oasis beta doesn't count as it's been abandoned shortly after the first movie), I can see Resonite being The Oasis as it's VRChat and Garry's Mod/GMod combined which is basically what The Oasis is, spawning objects, saving things, custom avatars and worlds, being able to create stuff for commissions within the game, etc, but it will take some practice of course, so if Resonite can gain popularity like VRChat, then we might get a lot of stuff ported, VRChat has sadly slowed down on custom content made by fans of things, while some fandoms still thrive there, I hardly get a lot of content in most things I'm into, heck some don't ever get content, I'd love to learn to create for these 2 games some day, heck I may port my game to those 2 one day after I make it so who knows
Resonite is just Neos. It isn't going to gain popularity until they fix the numerous UX issues.
Good to see the community is doing good I haven’t been on in a while
this is sick, i cant wait to see how much this evolves and maybe even take over vrchat someday
Awesome to hear it worked out.
Very nice Video, glad to see some Worlds from our group! :D
You make this sound like it's VRChat but more DIY friendly. I'm intrigued.
Woaw that facial tracking makes this look 10x more dystopian ! Awesome !
I might not be so ambitious as to create much more than my most basic avatar in Resonite, but it is a fun and unique platform that I love to hop on, explore, and sometimes meet people when I'm in the mood to actually join something that has more than just me and maybe one friend in it.
Compared to a more static platform like VRChat, well, there really is no comparison; Resonite, and NEOS before it, covers the social aspect very well, and then expands on it with an entire collaborative development environment for the mad lads who actually use it for more than just their avatar.
ayo! that's my navmesh system in the video! great video btw :D
broo they made NeosVR but without the NFTs. hell yes. i'll give it a drop by, but still probably won't switch fully to it yet
Damn I love your videos Tahvo, this one was a really interesting watch, may be something we'll have to check out as a group sometime!
They need to bring this to the quest 3!!!
This seems much more like the “metaverse” we always dream of than the more static experiences in VRChat (which are still wonderful in their own way.)
Oh the ending was a little abruptly haha
Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!
What a great summary!
I love this! I've tried Resonite once before and while a bit overwhelming it is incredibly powerful & interesting. So excited to watch it grow
The UI is slowly being upgraded. The framework was made so the team can more easily tweak it, settings menu already updated
@@TahvoStudio awesome, i might try setting up my avatar there again. i sorta got it the first time around but im stoked to give it another go.

Just downloaded today
I'm definitely looking forward to exploring everything
Seeing someone talk about my favorite Metaverse Platform is great, but now I know the mentors better be ready, 1.1k in 2 hours is nothin' to scoff at XD
I also look forward to the chance of more creators comin' into the platform!
You can import whatever avatar you want.
shywizz what are you doing here, go back to making modpacks or smth idk
This place litwrtly sounds magical
I love that person's avatar so much SHE HAS 4 ARMSSSS...
Finally, a Dislyte avatar in a vr game.

Incredible. Love it and will be on once I get into vr. Thanks for the awesome video and info.
I'm actually very interested in this. I don't know if it will become my main social platform, but I absolutely intend on using this to create stuff myself. I feel like it could be a very useful endeavor to grow my game development skills.
Wow this is great!!
I think I might buy a headset to build something like anime weapons or tools... I love creating... (And your fantastic video, of course!...👍) Thanks for the recommendation, i think I might like it...
Nice video, if you don’t mind, here’s 15 dollar Donation. Keep up the good work!
Incredible! Thank you so much! Ahhh!
How does this not have a bigger playerbase?
Needs a good PC
wow, this is just what i have been looking for
this is the SL of VR and im for this. I just started wandering around SL and was like "alot of wasted potental since they missed out on vr" WELP here we go. Ima dedicate a weekend to this i think. also whoa whoa whoa the MOVEMENT can be changed. I have like a set of like 200 skateing animations that I never got to use in VRChat becouse i dont understand locomotion layer stuff. and some cool af hover skates...now i need to do this
Wait a game where you can program IN and is VR? I'm sold.
Yeah, as a guy who knows nothing about programing it makes me want to learn
I might have to check this out when I can get a better headset than quest 2. I forgot my pass code, now I can't download stuff :/
I am showing my friends this game on Discord.I think this will be better than VRchat.
I hope they get a desktop client soon. Tinkering in VR is fun but sometimes the best way to do it is to sit down at the desk with a good 2D tool
Resonite has a fully fleshed out desktop mode already! Including third person camera and editor-like freecam controls.
its as if rec room and vrchat had a baby and that baby grew up to be LITERALLY AWESOME??
duuuuude, seeing rustybot reminded me of anyland. I wish that game had been popular :p
Some of the biggest hurdles for any new social VR platform will likely be overcomming the network effect advantage that VRchat has along with all of the sunk costs that people have in VRchat.
I am hope that Resonite will be known as quickly as possible...
IM Super EXCITED FOR THIS!!
Very interested in this platform. I don't have VR-capable hardware, but I loved the spirit of collaboration in Garry's Mod/etc., and so Resonite has become a bit of an obsession of mine. ...sooner or later I'll get up the courage to see how it is 'flat'...
This is cool
Resonite definitely has much of the same magic that made me originally invested in Second Life, so chances are if you're a SL veteran you'll probably enjoy it (also land is free*!)
My suggestion would be to organize a little Resonite tour with some of your friends if you can.
They weren't the fanciest or anything of course, but it was cool to have something I put together.
that got me realy interested in resonite i just downloaded it and i wonder i will learn
Me gustó bastante Resonite. Ahora estoy comenzando a crear contenido de Resonite en español 😎
Yeah, I doubt you’ll ever see it come to quest users.
rec room mixed with vr chat
You're adorable, and your terminal glasses are the cutest.
I want something as rich and varied as SL but with more laidback people who doesn't take everything so serious. Hopefully this delivers!
As someone who originally migrated from SL, I'd say Resonite is pretty good at delivering on that :)
So yeah, it's not like I wanted to leave, game is still installed, but just didn't have an incentive to go back
We're literally so close to replicating to ready player one.
I love how it's called "sponsor requirement"
btw you can now disable motion blur, for all the desktop players
Fun fact: There was a mod to do this before, and I witnessed the author celebrate deleting the mod’s code when it was added as an official option.
i always say this but i think resonite needs 2 modes for the UI like a Creater mode and a simple mode, Creator mode being full access to the systems available to resonite and consumer mode would just be like an avatar selector world selector friends list and inventory and just have an option in the setting to toggle between the 2 modes and on first launch you get prompted to select which UI to have on as default, because overwhelming ui can be bad when people only want to consume the available content in resonite so haveing a friendly UI for casual play would be huge
This has been brought up a couple of times, but instead of splitting it up into two modes, the way forward will be continuously improving the same UI, it should just be easy and intuitive to use for everyone! The current UI is not designed to be difficult to use, it's just not finished yet.
ok im paying a visit to ironworks
As a SlimeVR dancer in VRChat, is there any future vrdj scene here? Nightclubs , events or so on?
Check out the Rave Cave world. Not sure about events, maybe look into the discord?
@@TahvoStudio Thanks will take a look ^^
I've seen a few rave events, such as the weekly dance event on Mondays
it's worth adding that it does work fine with Proton on my system as well. Though the file browser is a touch glitchy.
