There is no good or bad where you chose to live in as long as you feel comfortable is most important.
Yes. 🙌 very very much agreed 👍
Reason we got rid of street food stalls due to food safety and hygiene problems to people environment and to
roads safety. There are apps to help you to move around with public transports between buses and MRT.
Thanks for tuning in. Yes. I will be better prepared my next visit. I hope I can visit non tourist areas next time. Thx again
The rentals the hawkers pay in Singapore is not the same as the rentals the hawkers pay in Thailand or Malaysia. So the prices charged are also different.
Yes.. just different. Food was very very very good. No complaints :-)
It is because of strong currency that cost Singapore is expensive. If you earn in Singapore and spend in Singapore, in fact, the basic necessity might cheaper than thai local.
Thx 🙏. As a tourist I just wasn’t prepared properly.
@@wimsmedia Singapore has one of the highest GDP per capita in the world (higher than USA and Canada) and highest in Asia. Compared to Thailand, it’s about 9 times more and compared to Bangkok, it’s about 3.5 times more. Not really fair to expect expenditure in Singapore to cost similar to Thailand.
Beautiful place and expensive for tourism compared to Thailand. 🇹🇭. I will be better prepared next trip. Thx 🙏 for tuning in
For some context, before Singapore had hawker centres, street vendors were a common sight during the 19th century to mid-20th century, selling food and sundries along the streets.
While such services were seen as a necessity, the colonial government was concerned about hygiene, traffic obstruction and improper disposal of refuse, according to an article by the National Library Board.
So, hawker centres were created to house these street vendors, and between the 1960s and 1980s, the government carried out an island-wide registration exercise to relocate hawkers.
Thx for sharing. You know a lot about this.
Thailand has the best customer service, everyone smiles and welcome you.
Best smiles is for sure. Best service. Mmmmmm. Depends where you go.
you can pay a visit to johor bahru, just across the causeway. more affordable food options, hotel etc. im a singaporean who visit johor on a regular basis given the rising cost of food etc in singapore.
Thanks... I will for sure make that a plan for my next visit
Yes you are right, even locals find the food expensive in Singapore.
Yes. I talked to many of them. The best place was Maxwell food court in China town
LOL... Funny man. @@medusamoor60
excellent! thanks for sharing your great thoughts
thx for tuning in. :-)
Not even a fair comparison because both are different countries. One is a small city state. The other has 70million people. Singapore play around with currency rate (not interest rate) to manage inflation. So currency is very strong.
Yes. I agree. That’s why I say. Not a fair comparison. Still loved Singapore 🇸🇬. Expensive for tourists. I will be better prepared next trip. Great country. Thx for your feedback
With all due respect and no offense intended (seriously), SEA tourists are probably not the target audience for Singapore.
Singapore is often touted to be the safe haven for Europeans/ Americans to have a first taste of Asia without having the cultural / language shock.
Agreed 👍. I totally understand that. Thx man 🧍♂️
And yet, within the top ten source of tourists Singapore gets, you'd find 5 out of 10 to be SEA countries. Indonesia being the highest source of tourists. Visitors from the US and Europe combined won't even make up enough to match Indonesian tourist numbers. SEA is most definitely one of SG's target markets. I don't know where you're from, but personally, I've lived in 3 different SEA countries, and without exaggeration, it's very common to find someone who has visited Singapore at least once. It's not even rare either to find people who have visited Singapore at least twice. Also, may I remind you that one of SG's most popular tourist attractions is Universal Studios. It is the one and only theme park of its kind in SEA, and unsurprisingly, a part of the majority of its visitors are from within SEA.
Also, SG's well developed state and its status as "first world country" are what actually makes it appealing to other SEA. It's the closest and most affordable high income country one can visit if they're from SEA.
I'm Thai and there's almost no reason to travel to Singapore other than I have to see their airport and take the next connecting flight there.
Singapore is just not appealing to me at all, sorry.
Singapore is like the uptight petty city state version of Malaysia.
A meal with drink at Hawker centers cost about SGD 6.00 a person and about SGd 8.00 at an airconditioned food court. It gets cheaper out of the central area but it's definitely more expensive than Thailand..
agreed. thx man for tuning in.
I was in Bangkok with the family this Nov... The street food is a lot more expensive than I expected... While its true that I was living in the middle of the shopping district near Central World... 100 Baht for a stick of meat... does kind of hit the wallet... But we did manage to find cheaper meat on stick at some back alley behind shop houses where the Tuk Tuk drivers hangs around...
But YES... You are absolutely correct, its expensive in Singapore... As Singapore is considered to be the only High Income Developed Nation in S E Asia... And even for locals like me, sometimes it bites... Which is why we do yearly overseas trip to neighbouring countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, etc... to kind of spend like Kings or Queens... as much as we can of course...
And also true... Our service sector couldn't match those of Thailand and most other places... Unless its the very high end type...
Wow. Thx for your comment. This is great 👍. I appreciate the honesty and detailed messsge. BKK can be pricy as well. I’m from USA where it’s very expensive as well.
As a Thai I'd say you're in the area of street food targeting foreign tourists.
A 5 to 10-minute walk away from Central World and its shopping district in any direction and street food suddenly are a lot cheaper in price.
That's about the most touristic place for you to get a taste of street food in Bangkok.
I'm not saying the prices hasn't gone up at all here but for the cheap foods here you have to look a bit harder nowadays us Thais are no longer have the luxury of insanely cheap food of 15-20 years ago you know the type that rolls in front of our houses everyday those are went the way of dodo.
We have 7-11s everywhere instead and I can't escape from them.
@@barebarekun161 You are most correct my Thai friend... Example, turn into the back street of Big C at Central World... The price will be much cheaper. Also, food at Bangkok's Chinatown is surprisingly 'reasonable' with the amount of tourists in that area... While I'm not sure will the locals find it affordable... The price was not too bad for the things we ate... If it wasn't for the cost if getting there in Tuk Tuk which my 9yr old love... And yes, the Tuk Tuk overcharged me... Because I can see the price different between Grab and Tuk Tuk... But like I said, my 9yr old like the feeling of wing on his face as the Tuk Tuk rush about like a madman... 😂
Great video! Fair comments. Thai food is defo the best! Thanks for visiting us!
Thanks for watching. I look forward to coming back very soon!
great video many thanks

4:24 *Chinatown MRT
4:41 all the street hawkers were made illegal and moved into hawker centers in the early days.
Ah. Thanks man. 🧍♂️. It’s popular in the US
Go to satay street, most of the tourists like to go there at night for dinner
Next time. Thanks for the tip. 🙏
Street food and nightlife are superior in Thailand. And people are smiling, greeting and talkative.
I agree with street food being cheaper. Singapore has very good quality.
Very good quality food in any restaurants in Thailand too.
Thai people can cook anything.
Yes were you ok your 2nd or 3rd lasr video? When you were walking in the AM?? Was worried about you❤
I am not sure which video. I’m good. Thx. 🙏.
my opinion everything in SG.comparison with Thailand far behine about mangements, oganization, clean, green area, messy around chaos but everything you need to paid with these it's very expensive more than Thailand.if your income very high no problem in SG.And be investors and own bussiness there sg is the no.1 and also now SG.is developed country. So depend on the money in your pocket.and where you prefer right ??? I reccomanded you choosen sg.must be good definitely for 4 great for the expat.is it right??
Good insight. Than for sharing. I like a bit of chaos. lol. 😂
its year end, many sporeans go overseas for holiday, thats why traffic is little....
Ah. It was awesome 👏. Loved it
😮😮😮😮😊
You want "decades ago", go to Vietnam, Malaysia or Thailand. Singapore has moved on. I am sure you prefer Tijuana to La Jolla
LOL... TJ nice one. No I prefer Asia cheers man.
Cheaper too. You tourist may be able to afford a once a year holiday here but for locals a very expensive affair daily.
You are not the only one that complained about the cost. Everyone does. It is the most expensive city in the world. But as Singaporean, we received lots of help from our government.😊
Good. I am happy to hear the government supports it's people. thx for watching
There is no comparison between SGP and Thailand.
Everyone smiles in Thailand including the scammers 👍👍
Ha ha. So very true.
At least, they're not robot like.
Agree!!!

If only Thailand Conquer Singapore And Malaysia it Would Became a Superpower in Asia
lol. 😂. Or a mess
Do not compare Thailand and Singapore.. Or any other country in Southeast Asia.. Singapore is just different.
It is a city state that has overall higher living standards and costing than USA, UK or Germany.
Do you even know how much they pay for their car?
Why do you think people need your advise to visit Singapore? It's a popular vacation location for the rich and so it might not be ideal for everyone. The cost to visit is very high, however it is a safe and beautiful place. Their zoos and gardens are awesome. Their food is awesome, and it might be the only thing that's more affordable. Lastly their alcohol is expensive.
You should had compare the place you were from in USA to Singapore.
You really should watch the complete video and others I do. You might understand better
You should compare with Tokyo, London, or New York....definitely not Bangkok.
Yes. Agreed 👍. I will go to Tokyo soon.
I hear Singapore has better public transportation (buses and trains) than Thailand
It’s good however I find Thailand 🇹🇭 public transport even better. And cheaper !
Thank you to everyone who followed us and watched our videos. I hope you all like the Singapore trip videos and we will continue to offer more videos🙏❤️
Thx you.
💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤 Can't remember the last time my family got shot at or took illicit drugs in Singapore
? Ok. Thx for watching
Its a vacation! Enjoy 🎉
Yes. I did enjoy my time here. I am reporting as I do. Thx. 😊. Nice to get your messages. Tune in for my live stream on the first.
No Traffic? Wrong time
Agreed. No traffic.
Pls do not compare apple and orange. Just different.
Yes.. it is very different however comparing different places of travel give people an idea of what to expect. Apples to Oranges is correct. Thanks for your feedback
As you said it was many years ago,😂 like 70s! It's a wrong comparison though. 1st world country you are in😮
ha ha. thanks for watching. yes the 70's. ha
