My beagle has never been much of a howler. She only sounds off if she thinks someone is hurting me or when someone knocks at the door. I'm half deaf and can't always hear when someone is outside, so I always call her my little doorbell LOL

I just recently lost my beagle to health complications. Seeing this brings back so many memories of how goddang annoying his howling was in the night. Rest in peace Max, you raise hell in the fields in the sky.

11 years later.. i rlly didnt plan on being too emotional right now since im drunk, but geez. my poor girl just got diagnosed with heartworms..... i havent had the money to get her any sort of preventative care for a while, and her main caretaker, my dad, blows it all on expensive wine and drugs. she's at stage 3, and my dad isnt willing to pay for the treatment, he'd rather let her suffer until the end which breaks my heart. i know we dont have much time left, and it hurts to know she'll be gone in about a year.
I love how intelligent and gentle they are as if they absolutely 100% know the bee is (almost) defenseless against them and that they really pose no threat or mean any harm. I've always had beagles and they're just ss curious as any mammals lol

There used to be a rotting wooden fence post with a hole. Somehow we discovered that a hive of the black bumblebees lived in it. We kinda practice baseball. A neighborhood kid, would kick the post while the other tried to swing at it. Luckily those kids were lousy and no bees were hurt.
