Nic Hi, love your posts brilliant, just wanted to ask can I use Self Raising Flour if I don't have any Baking powder to hand? I have plain flour & Self raising most of the time but I'm getting low on plain & baking powder, so will the scones rise enough, in theory they should, thanks Nic xx
Hi Nic having made cheese scones for years I thought I had it cracked, but as I love all your recipes I thought I would give it a go .Must admit I had my doubts as I have always used SR flour, but Nic I have to concede you win hands down , they were the best I have ever made.So thank you👏 Will be using your recipe from now on.Made your cabbage & leek bake last week, another winner🏆you are also a link to my past as I the good fortune to spend the first 21 years of my married life in Brampton Cumbria , my love for cooking was started with the Dairy recipe Books that the milk man who delivered milk daily used to sell. Keep up the good work🫶 been trying to find Lemon jelly powder for you key lime pie but can’t find it anywhere.Also can you let me know a, where did you get your cheese board? b, do you have any recipe books , As the saying goes Nic you can teach an old dog new tricks, So thanks from this old dog 😂xx

Loved the scones, I got 8 large and 8 smaller ones out of your recipe. They were definately the best cheese scones I have ever had.
