Thanks for this, very useful. I watched once and was able to change both bulbs. Please note that the driver side fitting is slightly different to the passenger side, with only 1 internal screw in the boot to remove and 2 on the side boot panel.
Just wanted to say thank you. Just changed my 2019 ecosport brake light. About the only difference is the light bulb is different and they have added (2) T-25 star screws to hold the light more in place.

The Ford handbook says remove the electrical connection BEFORE removing the two plastic 'screws' but much easier to do what you did which was to remove the two plastic 'screws' and whole light casement before removing the electrical connection. Thanks for the video. Bulb changed nice 'n' easy.
Glad to hear my video helped. Just as well I did not have access to the Ford manual! I subsequently found that the RHS light is slightly different and its electrical plug is a lot trickier to unplug - there you definitely need to see to unplug.

@@SterremanWillie I just changed my break light on my 2006 model, it was less then 15 minutes. The only challenging part is to have the talk screw driver, other than that... Even a 14 year only should be able to change the bulb after watch your awesome video 👍👍👍👍

Hi Jan. It looks like there are large differences between cars, so do a UA-cam search to see what you can find out. I could only find one video on the EcoSport's rear lights, which surprised me since there must be millions of them around the world. This was my inspiration for making a video. Any footage of the baboons meeting the snake yet?

Oops! Perhaps I should have thought about that and mitigate to the possibility. One should perhaps stuff some rags in the cavity first, before unscrewing them. Try and find out if Ford sells them separately.
That's bad! Not as far as I know. Did someone perhaps work on the door panels? Reason I ask is that I often see people work on car doors and then remove the plastic that is loosely stuck over the openings after removing the door panels and then don't put back this plastic again. This can cause water to come into the car.
@@shireendreyer1847 OK, then perhaps check all the rain drainage channels for possible blockages. Water sometimes gets in through the light fittings, particularly if they have cracks. I once managed to find a leak by getting into a car and have someone spray it with a hose-pipe. Hope you can find your leaks.

It’s just now that I noticed that it’s Parklight function ain’t working, its Brakelight function does work. Do you happen to know if there is a fuse for such function? If there is, what exact fuse it is from the compartment fuse box? Thanks in advanced! 😉
Yes, that sounds like a possible fuse that has blown. Unfortunately I'm away on a two week trip at the moment, so cannot go look for you. The car's manual should definitely tell you where the fusebox is and its lid is normally marked, showing which fuse is which. I got a few spare fuses with my car - they are in the tool storage under the carpet in the back boot. Good luck.

Sorry, no idea. They are very common and standard. Best is to remove one and use it as a sample when you go buy. While you are at it, buy extra for next time.

Same thing happened to me. I managed to recover the dropped thumbscrew by using a vacuum cleaner.
What size Allen key did you use to remove the small screws to get to the bulbs?
I tried to open and the thumb screw fall inside. Now I don’t know how to get it back. Anyone can help me 🙏🏻

It is called a torx driver, available from most well stocked hardware or automotive stores.

Sorry, no idea of their part numbers, but they are stock standard from automotive shops. Take a sample to be sure.
