Interesting/gruesome car fact involving Jayne Mansfield: the bar on the back of large trucks is called the “Mansfield bar” due to how Jayne died in a tragic car accident. The Mansfield bar is there to stop cars from going under trucks. Poor Mariska and her sibling were in the backseat of the car when Jayne died.

Wow, we don't see a lot of pink cars up north! We do play the car rainbow game here for longer than normal drives. Find all the colors of the rainbow, in order! Purple is the most difficult. But we usually do it in a 30-40 min trip.

Michael Dezer (Dezertzov), who owns Dezerland, used to own a museum in Miami called the Miami Auto Museum. In addition to a lot of really cool cars (including replica cars like the Flintmobile, the Batmobile, Lightning McQueen, and Tow Mater), the Miami Auto Museum also had a huge James Bond memorabilia collection. When the museum closed, a few years ago, everything that was there got moved to Dezerland (I think, and I could be wrong, that the Tow Mater in front of Dezerland is the same Tow Mater that used to sit in front of the Miami Auto Museum). Side note: My dad and I got to visit before the Miami Auto Museum before the museum closed and it's one of my favorite places that I have been to.

Whenever my family went on the road trip we always looked at the different license plates. I’m a lot older and I don’t do it to this day.
We still play the license plate game. I love when my daughter texts me and says she has seen Alaska or the elusive Hawaii. We live right in the middle of the US so Hawaii is rare but we have seen it.

Ok that was so cool! I love cars and I love Pink so this was perfect! :-) Took me straight back to my 'tuner' days where I had a black Citroën Saxo VTS, all clean, no logos, no license plate cutout, lowered, chameleon-color striping on the sides, tinted windows, whire wheels, ... aaaah I miss those days :-) Some of them race, but most of them just do this for fun and to admire it all :-) At least that's how it was when I went to car shows. I didn't have the biggest engine, but for me it was all about the looks of my car. Met my best friend via those car shows here in Belgium :-)
LOVED the pink mustang from Cloe! Loved the car with the heart shaped exhaust and the one with the heart shaped rear lights. Who am I kidding, I loved them all :-) but secretly I think my favorite was the surfer Beetle :-)
"What's it like for a tourist staying on I-Drive with no car, walking down I-Drive looking for food?" I hear you say? Well, look no further, Jen. In one of my episodes as part of our trip to Orlando back in 2023, we did just that! We walked down I-Drive looking for food. We did not hire a car because we were staying on property at both Disney and Universal. We were spoilt for choice when it came to eating out that day, and didn't want to walk for miles and looking at how far down Chuy's is. That would have been tough. And being from the UK, the smaller chains pass us by a little. I realise now we barely turned the corner on I-Drive. We also discovered Panda Express on our Volcano Bay day (in the previous episode). Uber eats came right to the front lobby, so we took full advantage.

Lol these people are not tracking these cars. Majority of people with these types of ‘show’ cars have no idea about actual performance. Take Jackson to OSW or Bradenton, there are amazing builds here in FL.

My son doesn't really like desserts and I love them so a lot of time at the end of a restaurant meal I'll be eating ice cream and having a dessert and he'll just be sitting there and I get so many dirty looks and more than once people have offered does he want ice cream below and every time I go do you run ice cream and you said No I don't like it.... 😂
Pink and purple are my favorite colors to Jackson 😊 oh and don't ever think its weird for a boy to like those colors, Jackson is Jackson and he likes what he liks. I just wanted to say that because when i was young a boy was made fun of for liking what people called girly colors, and he went through a few name calling issues while in school, but he grew up and got into computers for his career and is a pretty wealthy business guy and great husband and father, or atleast i heard he is, i never got close to him. Just heard. Anyway a person liking certain colors has nothing to do with who they'll be when they grow up. but i don't think it's weird at all for a boy to like pink and purple. Tim, most people start with a car race it then make it faster. Learn to drive development as things break or reach the limit. Some people not most will just full crazy and build it up then race it but most car go threw many different parts set ups along the way
I stayed at Endless Summer Jan2020 & it was $105 per night. But we ate at Applebee's. Wish I knew chuys was there. Idrive as a tourist is crazy & you really need to have a plan to execute.

The P50 is called Peel P50 and made between 1962 to 1965 by the Peel engineering company on the isle of Man in the uk.
This car show is my dream. Pink has been my fave color my whole life, and little kid me ALWAYS WANTED a pink car! The girly Barbie vibes (and Sharpay from hsm vibes too) are like my core soul. I don’t have a car (I’m a New Yorker and basically don’t need it lol), but I still dream of a pink car.
I saw a pink tesla yesterday, i don't live in Florida, feel like we'll be seeing alot more pink cars after barbie. Also saw my first cybertruck where i live, someone has alot of money for a poor town.

We play "car rainbow" where you have to find one car of each color of the rainbow to complete the challenge. We used to play collectively but now we play VS where each person has to find all the colors in competition. My kids made it up but its super fun!!

Ok with that being said now , These cars are so cool. The car owners are so awesome doing those cool stuff on their cars. Bravo 👏 I know it's work put into them, my Dad has a couple of 1970 vehicles he always wanted to spruce up and put on shows, but sadly time and money was never on his side. These car owners are so awesome 😊 Interesting having a pink car show😊 Jackson was having a great time😊 You all looked and sounding glad to be there. This brings childhood memories back. From the age 7 to 15 years old my Dad took me and eventually my young sister to car shows atleast once a year. He tried getting us into cars, but we went the artist and teaching route in careers. Still, We thought it was so cool on how much awesomeness the car owners put into them. This was cool. These are memories your boys will remember as good family times, priceless 😊❤ Thanks for sharing. I believe Universal had the Flintstones car years ago. They used to have that Hanna Barbera ride. We love driving around the area We use our familys car to go to places outside of Disney.

Dezerland looks pretty amazing! I love Pinball, and Skee Ball, and Go Carts too! Add the food court and movie theatre, and you've got a pretty cool day of fun!
