I can't explain exactly why, but this made me cry a little. I saw it as an ad, but I went back and looked it up to show my wife. I think it's the idea of someone who is "too old" for this type of thing daring to do it anyway. The simple expression of joy on his face is so moving. He's not trying to be cool. He's not trying to be anything but in the moment. I applaud the director and writer of this commercial for keeping it so simple. The production team for this did so well. I also applaud LG for being humble and not sneaking a product in to suggest that you need their products to experience the joy the man in the commercial is experiencing. It really felt like I was taking in a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

This actor is one of my good friends, his name is “Mitch Poulos.” He’s one of the kindest, and most beautiful souls you’ll ever meet. I’m also his biggest fan, LG couldn’t have picked a better actor. If you haven’t checked out Mitch’s other film roles, please look him up. He is in an award winning film alongside me and an amazing cast entitled “Tango Shalom.” My personal favorites from him are his versions of Santa Clause, another fitting role for a man who has a literal heart of Gold. The best ads are simple and make you feel something. This is an outstanding example of both.
We live like that old man trying to balance his body, looks unstable at times, maybe falls many times until you are able to stand up still. And there is no brake. Let us not put brake, never quit and go forward. Let us pick up happiness as we go forward without brakes. Life is unpredictable, life is good.

Just saw this ad and I'm not even gonna lie... I think I almost cried. WHY WAS IT SO BEAUTIFUL 😫
LIKE I felt like I knew this guy. Like he had a really hard time and just something small, like riding a skateboard can bring a smile like that back. Ig it reminds me of how I feel when I skate. My heart feels lighter and I feel more free. I used to be an incredibly pessimistic person and as I'm a little older now, I made the choice to choose optimism. It gets hard sometimes but we push through and we prevail and THAT is how this makes me feel. This guy on a board, just happy, sailing away on a board, feels like victory.
because it shows none of us are too old to enjoy what we love the most, or things we were always scared to do and we finally do it, it's in that moment of clarity that we think, "maybe life isnt so hard after all.."
As an ad guy I am rarely impressed. This one did it! Bravo. I may be a bit bias as a 45 year old skater too. 😂

So i know this is weird that i am spilling my guts out under a random advertisement's comments section for the whole world to read, which i happen to check out again, seconds after successfully completing an ad in midst of watching my favorite creator's videos without skipping it...
The thing is although i am not that old, tbh i am quite young to even idk relate to it but i have always had it tough in life from a very young age, went through stuff that no one at that age should have went through and i have always quite framed myself the victim in my head, having to walk this dark tunnel with no light at the end for eternity and long, and today was like the shittiest day of my life, like everything is going wrong and i have already embarrassed myself beyond imagination for i don't know how many times in a row and just when i thought well this is what you call a 'bad day' is what's happening to me, this ad pops up...and i'll be like super honest i have no association with LG or whatsoever, never bought a single product of theirs...but this literally is my light at the end of tunnel. I never in my life thought that optimism could be a chance or atleast a choice in itself...i thought it is something that comes naturally to people who have lived a successful and happy life all throughout their time on earth. But the words...it literally pierced through my heart that's been in the dark all through my life. But you know what, i am going to take myself to the very edge of what's possible and dive in smile first, cause why not...because i want the good stuff to happen and i think i am ready...because i see hope and sunshine and content and joy just around the corner waiting for me.
PS. Thank you LG for this wonderful peace of hope you are giving out to so many people. Also i am watching this on loop, bye :)

I'm not the kind to comment on much, let alone a popular brand but this year has been one of the hardest years, my whole life I've enjoyed skateboarding as a hobby and I just learned that I have had cerebral palsy since birth. I went through a lot of speech therapy, learning to walk without braces and everything my whole life but where Im aging (I'm 32) I also have multi level degenerative disc disease, my legs are losing functionality and I've made a full circle back to having to wear braces on my legs and walk with elbow crutches, anyways this is all just to say that I love this video, it certainly inspires hope I'm not sure what kind for me but hope nonetheless. I was very happy watching this commercial, seeing older people do what younger people are known to enjoy is truly great to see because it gives a new perspective on a person's limitations and ability. I hope everyone is doing okay In this strange but beautiful world.
