True love waits is just Thom and Jonny on piano... not really a proper version. Where was the band? They're too proud to record a melancholic anthem these past twenty years. You would think Thom should have gotten bored of the dubstep shit by now, but apparently not.
Corey Caldwell its lazy. It doesnt flow. They never really perfected what they were doing on tkol and never tried too. With thom itd legit be terrible. Tkol from the basement is alright
Why do people say that the only good song on the king of limbs is lotus flower? Have people not heard bloom? Or codex? Or separator? People said Kid a was really bad the first time they heard it. Now it is known as one of their best albums.
10 Years Later: We got Present Tense & True Love Waits on A Moon Shaped Pool, Lift and Man Of War on OKNOTOK and we're getting Follow Me Around on Kid A Mnesia
TKOL is a great album. You just have to listen well and learn to appreciate it. That took me a while to do, but when you do you notice the attention to detail that radiohead has and has had on previous albums, it only gets better the more you listen
back in the days, In Limbo would just hypnotise everyone with it's epic chorus on how difficult it is being white and in love ✊😔 that bass drop by Colin in the middle of the song got the whole stadium jumping as well
Listen to the TKOL more than once and you'll know good an album it is, its actually incredible. The band have excelled in their sound and how they structure songs - They may have added subtle electronics, but it plays and blends nicely... because they've matured as musicians - so obviously new work / material isn't going to sound like older radiohead albums when they were in their 20's - Progressive rock - very Pink Flodyian.... why wouldn't you want progression...they stretch their music out while still sounding like radiohead
The album was ok, but I seriously am head over heels in LOVE with the Live From the Basement recordings they did. That stuff is pure gold! Have you guys listened to it?! Check it out
I don't care what his point of view of TKOL is, this video is still a masterpiece, lol. And I don't hate TKOL, Radiohead can't make anything bad. They're genius. But, not my fav album.
Pablo Honey is criminally underrated. It's got You, Creep, Stop Whispering, Thinking about you, Anyone can play guitar, lurgee, I can't, Blow out: that's 8 really good to great songs. Only the Bends, and OKC can compete with it on a songwriting basis.
I don't get the hate over TKOL, it's amazing. I couldn't live without Codex or Lotus Flower or Morning Mr. Magpie. I realize it's short but so what, AMSP is out and it's very long. whatever, at least TKOL exists.
they on a brake...all of them, whith there families. might have somthing in 1-2 years. idc, i still respect the shit out of radiohead and thom whith his wonky dancing
@dnm5555 It's not so different than anything they've done before, they just found a sound and expanded on it, them being experimental and all. The real problem (if there is one at all) is that some Radiohead fans keep comparing their albums together. It's a new sound, try to listen to it as it is, forget Kid A, forget In Rainbows... There are some lovely songs on that album with beautiful poetry and mesmerizing sounds and beats.
As a Radiohead fanatic this is of course my favorite of the Downfall parodies. I love that Krebs sounds like Creep, nice touch. On another note it's not their best but I really like The King of Limbs and hope in time it grows on more people - the way the fuckload of fucking trees grow!
@tapetheescape What I meant was just that maybe in a few years people will realise that TKOL is actually a very good album instead of complaining all the time. When their taste has caught up with the reality of musical progress.
Radiohead should incorporate more Dubstep into some of their songs. Its fascinating to watch how Radiohead progresses, never quite fitting into a single genre, yet applying the benefits of many to their music.
Things are different. People used to hate TKOL because they thought it was the demise of Radiohead. Now that we know that they still have the "it" factor (A Moon Shaped Pool), TKOL is viewed much more favorably.
Pablo Honey was arguably the worst album they made. It's too whiny and garage rock-esque for me to formally enjoy. Sure, Creep is a nice melody, but the only other song I'd pull off of there is You, because of the intro. I absolutely adore TKOL and Lotus Flower's video just because it shows true /expression/, and lack of giving a fuck about what other people think. Tchock don't give a fuck. I feel the band is just doing their thing, and it ain't gonna change much, whether you like it or not. Jonny is perfectly humble on the Ondes Martenot and keyboard; It's not like he's a tortured soul. Live and let be, but I appreciate all their stuff.
** it is still the same emotion, no matter what form. just watch ua-cam.com/video/WWqPoZqafN4/v-deo.html. garage rock it may be but it is still brilliance on it's own
@FlyingFuckstorm yea i love KOL, but i agree with a lot of the points made here. haha great vid ...and damn, wish they put present tense/the butcher/boots on the album
haha now i'm going to get completely shitfaced and listen to ok computer.... king of limbs was ok, though :) TKOL had a few really good songs, but you can always tell when they try to stray too far from their core. AMNESIAC/KIDA
Maybe they strayed so well that barely anyone noticed. Maybe I was already drunk when I commented. Maybe... Thom and Ed are better than me. They are way better than me.
@dnm5555 it just has less songs & less good songs. "Lotus Flower," "Codex," & my personal fave "Separator" are all amazing tracks that could stand on their own on any album, imo. "Bloom" & "Give Up the Ghost" are decent but don't really stand out & grab you. then you have basically a throw away track like "Feral" and yes, some of the album is definitely a bit monotonous with the blips & blops & looping. expectations are everything...3 outta 8 (& 2 more being decent) ain't that bad at all!
@pencilfoot They have to listen to Radiohead and find out you dont have to split up and get millions to get back together you just stay together and try try try try and maybe some day they touch the arch the arch of genius which is Radiohead . We are living through the da vinci on music and that is the lads .
@mahavishnuxc That's the point of Hitler Rant Parodies... Sorry, couldn't tell if you didn't understand, or were just trolling, or whatever, but yeah :P
To dnm5555 or whoever made this video - you've must have spent a lot of time on the Radiohead boards. You've captured the boards' anticipation, speculations and disappointments regarding TKOL quite well.
The problem with TKOL is to do with the difference between true "good music Radiohead fans" and the "I'm hip and with it" Radiohead fans". Years ago in the UK The Bends always came higher in best album of all time charts. Then it was OK Computer that topped those charts a few years later. Recently it was Kid A that topped those charts ahead of The Bends and OK Computer. Maybe in a few years when the fools have caught up, it'll be Amnesiacs turn, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows then finally TKOL
I'm younger. I like radiohead's new stuff the newer it gets. It sucks when your favorite band changes. In my case, Circa Survive. But the alternative is that they produce the same album over and over again. Recognize that your fandom lies with the album, not the band.
@pencilfoot Well at the time there was a rumour they were but a day or so later Mani said it was false. I thought it was funny because it was more proof Hitler's a bit out of the loop. I'd like to thank The Stone Roses for RUINING my joke!
There were rumors of a part II because of the length of the album and the last track being called "Separator" and containing the line "if you think this is over with you're wrong"
This is one of my favorite hitler rant ever XD though I completely disagree with him. I've been a radiohead fan for almost 15 years and I think TKOL is an excellent album too. and as it's been said already, hitler should listen - and watch - the live from the basement sessions, I'm sure it would be helpful for his cholesterol (^^")
I'd love them to record lift and big boots, just such epicly epic songs. I bought the king of limbs newspaper album, kinda wish id saved the money and bought kid A or smoething. Its good, but just kind of lacking.
I loved both TKOL and this video. Radiohead are my favourite band, but I wouldn't say I'm one of the hardcore idiots that can't listen to criticism of them. So lets all just relax, enjoy the wonderful music, and laugh at how brilliant Hitler calling Thom Yorke a "wonky-eyed little fuckwit" is. Really well done on the video :)
@childofthesun32 I disagree. I think the problem is more to do with lack of songs. All those albums had great songs. TKOL lacks great songs and is more a collection of sounds and loops.
@dnm5555 For me, Bloom IS a great song as is Mr Magpie, Feral and Codex. Little By Little is one of my favourite Radiohead songs. The only song I don't think is great (but still enjoy) is Give Up The Ghost (which sounds like a Neil Young song to me). The only song most people rate on TKOL is Lotus Flower which to me to me is the 2nd least good song on the album. Separator to me sounds like their next album will be their OK Computer of the new generation.
I'm going to get completely shit faced and listen to OK Computer........That's a good idea I like that one...............Still not overly keen on the whole gassing thing though.
"Just go in the studio and record Lift, Big Boots and a proper version of True Love Waits"
Well after 6 years, we finally got it.
True love waits is just Thom and Jonny on piano... not really a proper version. Where was the band? They're too proud to record a melancholic anthem these past twenty years. You would think Thom should have gotten bored of the dubstep shit by now, but apparently not.
@@declanmcdonnell6965 nah it's just they're bored of melancholic anthems, besides thom yorke makes IDM dubstep died years ago
What died years ago?
I will never understand why people don't like tkol. It's fucking amazing
+Corey Caldwell I don't get it either man.
only people who aren't into Radiohead don't like it.
some legitimate exceptions
It's a good album but when you wait 4 years for their new album and it only has 8 tracks, you can't help but feel a little frustrated
Didn't think much of the B-sides except staircase personally
Corey Caldwell its lazy. It doesnt flow. They never really perfected what they were doing on tkol and never tried too. With thom itd legit be terrible. Tkol from the basement is alright
Why do people say that the only good song on the king of limbs is lotus flower? Have people not heard bloom? Or codex? Or separator? People said Kid a was really bad the first time they heard it. Now it is known as one of their best albums.
or the daily mail
+collin kim great song but not on tkol. It's a b side, but Radiohead has the greatest b sides tbh
Codex is the best song on the King of Limbs.
+paranoid android56 And dont forget Give up the ghost
+Seoul uhm... Magpie?
We got something even better.A Moon Shaped Pool is fucking amazing.
I see you EVERYYYYWHERE
Funny, but TKOL is a pretty incredible album.
(nice meme)
if you think that you're meme enough...
If you think that you're dank enough
Kid A is also my fav album. But TKOL is quite swell too. Bloom is my fav song from Radiohead.
10 Years Later: We got Present Tense & True Love Waits on A Moon Shaped Pool, Lift and Man Of War on OKNOTOK and we're getting Follow Me Around on Kid A Mnesia
This is so funny. But it is kind of unsettling to say that Hitler and I have the same struggles.
Nothing beats Separator. Its classic. And the whole album is pretty great too. Haters gonna hate hate.
The video is funny tho.
They hate it for a reason. I'm sure they wanted to like it, you know, as fans of the band...
"That wonky-eyed little fuckwit kept me waiting all that time" LMAO XD
TKOL is a great album. You just have to listen well and learn to appreciate it. That took me a while to do, but when you do you notice the attention to detail that radiohead has and has had on previous albums, it only gets better the more you listen
>songs with choruses
>kid a is my favorite
back in the days, In Limbo would just hypnotise everyone with it's epic chorus on how difficult it is being white and in love ✊😔 that bass drop by Colin in the middle of the song got the whole stadium jumping as well
Listen to the TKOL more than once and you'll know good an album it is, its actually incredible. That last line was just perfect. :D The whole thing was great, captures a certain part of the fanbase (ATEASE) so well.
he should listen "from the basement"
get it? cause he's in a bunker
but seriously from the basement makes a masterpiece out of TKOL
I'm in tears laughing
the last line ended a truly great skit! great job!
This is so great. It reassures me because I share alot of the same sentiments, without the anger obviously.
TKOL was a damned good warm-up...then comes the even better angst ridden AMSP.
TKoL is a masterpiece. Shame for those who can't appreciate it.
Little did Hitler know that AMSP was slowly but surely on its way and would be absolutely amazing.
The album was ok, but I seriously am head over heels in LOVE with the Live From the Basement recordings they did. That stuff is pure gold! Have you guys listened to it?! Check it out
@relaxinmusik
The movie is called "Der Untergang" (The Downfall).
"when they released creps"....how cool
I'm going to get completely shit faced and listen to OK Computer. Full blast because that's how I roll!
This is the best video on youtube!
This is great. I thought I was fed up with seeing these kinds of videos, turns out I was wrong.
i love the king of limbs.
my favorite part is at 2:32 when he mentione drums XD
I don't care what his point of view of TKOL is, this video is still a masterpiece, lol. And I don't hate TKOL, Radiohead can't make anything bad. They're genius. But, not my fav album.
This is so fucking good. Job well done ofmg.
It turns out they are going to release a part 2!
Pablo Honey is criminally underrated. It's got You, Creep, Stop Whispering, Thinking about you, Anyone can play guitar,
lurgee, I can't, Blow out: that's 8 really good to great songs. Only the Bends, and OKC can compete with it on a songwriting

+lord malberry but both OK Computer and The Bends are just better albums
Fucking thank you. Finally someone not shitting on Pablo honey. Its great
I don't get the hate over TKOL, it's amazing. I couldn't live without Codex or Lotus Flower or Morning Mr. Magpie. I realize it's short but so what, AMSP is out and it's very long. whatever, at least TKOL exists.
OMG is there no end to what funny things you can do with this clip? Love it! LMAO
'at least the stone roses are getting back together', haha.
they on a brake...all of them, whith there families. might have somthing in 1-2 years. idc, i still respect the shit out of radiohead and thom whith his wonky dancing
Well there's a new album being dropped sometime this year so we won't have to wait long.
+Porco-Dio FIlm yup, comes out tomorrow
@dnm5555 It's not so different than anything they've done before, they just found a sound and expanded on it, them being experimental and all. The real problem (if there is one at all) is that some Radiohead fans keep comparing their albums together. It's a new sound, try to listen to it as it is, forget Kid A, forget In Rainbows... There are some lovely songs on that album with beautiful poetry and mesmerizing sounds and beats.
Thom, or Ed, or someone from Radiohead needs to see this.
As a Radiohead fanatic this is of course my favorite of the Downfall parodies. I love that Krebs sounds like Creep, nice touch.
On another note it's not their best but I really like The King of Limbs and hope in time it grows on more people - the way the fuckload of fucking trees grow!
This was done perfectly.
@flame0154: I agree. My personal favourite Radiohead album is Hail to the Thief, though I know I'm the only one who thinks so.
BUT WE NOW HAVE THE DAILY MAIL :D
Greatly done! Thank you for that. And sadly, it's all so true!
@tapetheescape What I meant was just that maybe in a few years people will realise that TKOL is actually a very good album instead of complaining all the time. When their taste has caught up with the reality of musical progress.
Utterly brilliant.
just noticed the "drums pounding" part haha.
yeah, this is amazing.
"but now it's that fucking dubstep shit." loooooool
@Querymonger haha! right on! didn't even see your comment before I posted mine. agree 100%. although I do give "Give Up the Ghost" a little credit.
TKOl isn't my favorite Radiohead album but it's up there. right behind Kid A and kinda tied with In Rainbows.
I shit of laughter
And then they released something way better
Radiohead should incorporate more Dubstep into some of their songs. Its fascinating to watch how Radiohead progresses, never quite fitting into a single genre, yet applying the benefits of many to their music.
YES RADIOHEAD DUBSTEP
I really like TKOL, but this was absolutely hysterical.
Things are different. People used to hate TKOL because they thought it was the demise of Radiohead. Now that we know that they still have the "it" factor (A Moon Shaped Pool), TKOL is viewed much more favorably.
Clever. Full of fanboy goodness and inside jokes. Captures the boards (and all the bitching and whining) at Atease perfectly. Very, very well done.
@dnm5555 imo, there are exactly three good songs on TKOL: Lotus Flower, Codex, and Separator. That's honestly it, though.
listen to the last song from the album."IF YOU THINK THIS IS OVER THEN YOUR WRONG!"
Pablo Honey was arguably the worst album they made. It's too whiny and garage rock-esque for me to formally enjoy. Sure, Creep is a nice melody, but the only other song I'd pull off of there is You, because of the intro. Jonny is perfectly humble on the Ondes Martenot and keyboard; It's not like he's a tortured soul. Live and let be, but I appreciate all their stuff.
I'e always liked Pablo Honey, just didn't find the songs quite as consistently good... But I do like You, Creep, Vegetable, Ripcord, BLOW OUT
As someone who got recently into Radiohead, I absolutely agree with you there. They evolved and I like the new style.
** it is still the same emotion, no matter what form. just watch ua-cam.com/video/WWqPoZqafN4/v-deo.html. garage rock it may be but it is still brilliance on it's own
This is one of the better ones :)
@Cestpasmarrant they did actually. Thom Yorke posted this vid on his facebook :)
I do realize that at least one individual already said 'so fucking funny,' but I want to say it too. So fucking funny.
This is amazing.
"I even paid extra for that stupid fucking 'Newspaper Album' whatever the fuck that means!" lmaooo
Now there has to be a review of the new stone roses songs or upcoming album
@FlyingFuckstorm yea i love KOL, but i agree with a lot of the points made here. haha great vid
...and damn, wish they put present tense/the butcher/boots on the album
haha now i'm going to get completely shitfaced and listen to ok computer.... king of limbs was ok, though :) TKOL had a few really good songs, but you can always tell when they try to stray too far from their core. AMNESIAC/KIDA
yeah you're right i'm dumb :''(
Maybe they strayed so well that barely anyone noticed. Maybe I was already drunk when I commented. Maybe... Thom and Ed are better than me. They are way better than me.

This is like 20x funnier when you actually speak german lmao
(I like Tkol, but the video is still funny)
@mahavishnuxc That's the point of Hitler Rant Parodies...
Sorry, couldn't tell if you didn't understand, or were just trolling, or whatever, but yeah :P

By using THE hated figure, they are able to speak the truth. Love it
I wonder what the Furher thinks of a moon shaped pool
I personally like it a lot I think it's way better the The king of limbs
Poor Hitler, the guys from Stone Roses actually denied the rumor that they were getting together, hahaha.
@anetchi Yes I think From The Basement is much better.
2:47 amen
TKOL has kind of been growing on me in the last year or so...
Gloom is rly amazing tbh
Wow, he got his wish in AMSP
I'm younger. I like radiohead's new stuff the newer it gets. It sucks when your favorite band changes. In my case, Circa Survive. But the alternative is that they produce the same album over and over again. Recognize that your fandom lies with the album, not the band.

+hands575 It's funny that people would think Thom would be that literally obvious in his lyrics. :)
You never know.
but TKOL is a kickass album :/
So incredibly fckng funny..I have to say; Hitler talking about my holy love Radiohead didn't invite me strongly but I'm glad I've watched it..
2:48 Well, he kinda got what he wanted.
Wonderful!
@radu0 i think this is one of those rare occasions when the phrase "i'm with hitler on this one" is acceptable
This is one of my favorite hitler rant ever XD
though I completely disagree with him. I've been a radiohead fan for almost 15 years and I think TKOL is an excellent album too.

Whoever did this is a genius. :D
3:38 - 3:47 What I say after a long day.
Well done sir
I loved both TKOL and this video. Radiohead are my favourite band, but I wouldn't say I'm one of the hardcore idiots that can't listen to criticism of them. @shaveyourwookie Bloom is actually my favourite on TKOL
