They’re a useful material but not sure how but yea, hummingbirds, eagles and albatross and even petrels and skuas don’t eat the poop. I know it sounds disgusting but their natural and normal in the wildlife world, of course don’t get confused why did it eat the poop cause they’re also trying to clean the nest and yea. No it was given a caterpiller that died from insecticide, im glad it threw it up but im concerned about if this constantly happens, plus the bird looked pretty out of it

Only ever seen mourning doves feeding up close. It was quite different from this. Feeding time looked like scary parent abuse! Looked like the chicks were going to poke through mom/dada’s throat!

Allow the parent to control the droppings, keeping the babies safer from predators. So gross and cool at the same time.
