Beautiful designs. Make sure you wash the sizing out of the bag before painting or the textile paint will not adhere. And acrylic will peel off after washing. (Ask me how I know). I am using Jacquard textile paints and after regular washing and drying it holds up fabulously!
hi!! i was wondering if it is ok to just use regular acrylic paint on a canvas tote bag? will it crack over time?? do i need to add some type of protectant or something?
Hi! Yes I've been using regular acrylic paint just watered down to make it thinner and more flexible. As long as it's not going on thick I don't think it will crack! Make sure to go over your design with an iron so that the paint gets sealed into the fabric and you should be good to go :) Good luck!
Hi naomi thank you for this amazing video. was wondering if i need to apply waterproof spray after painting or its gonna be fine. also do i need a base on the canvas tote before starting the project?
Hi, just seeing this now! I didn’t personally and I’ve never tried a waterproof spray but that sounds like a good layer of extra protection in any event! I didn’t use a base but in future I think I would prime where I wanted to paint with white fabric paint just so the colours don’t just absorb 😅 good luck with your bags if you end up painting any! 💕
The only video showing how to make the paint permanent. Thankyou!!❤

They turned out well! I've always wondered how people draw on the fabric. Thanks for sharing. :)
Aw thank you!
Those designs are AMAZING!!!! They are adorable, it has inspired me to paint on my own tote bag.
I use a foam core board covered with freezer paper. Makes it non-stick

I'm using gouache. Will it be wash out when wash even though i iron it?
Nice😍 from where you buy the tot bag(which brand)? I wanna buy from Amazon but I’m confused there’s a lot of options
Very nice. But were they same after washing
So far I’ve only spot washed and carefully hand washed them and they’ve been fine! I wouldn’t put them in the washing machine though!
They are so cute :3
Do you use a base colour or gesso so that the colour doesn't show on inside?
hi, i know it's been a year. what's the condition of your tote bag?
May i ask where did you buy your tote bag?
Thank you for this video! Where do you get the tote bags from?
Aw thank you! I ordered them on Amazon 😊
Where you get those tote bags? Do you have the link for the tote bags? Thank you so much.
How long do you wait to take the masking tape off after you paint?
hello i actually have a tote bag here, but i don't like its design. I just wanna ask if the coverage of the fabric paint can cover the design?
How do you wash them once they’re painted?
What type of paper was used to protect the design from the iron? Is it parchment paper?
this is so late but i read in a different comment that it was baking paper
Can this be worn in the rain
Thank you for this! What can I use instead of baking paper?
Hi! Glad you liked the video! You could probably use a thin tea towel over the top of the bags to iron them instead of baking paper :)
@@naomisspace8970 could I use a normal towel
Are those canvas bags?
How we can wash this beg
did you varnish them afterwards?
Hi! No I just iron them to set the paint ☺️
@@naomisspace8970 aightt thanks! Have a nice day ☺️
Does the posca markers stay even after hand washing them?
So far I’ve only tried spot washing my bags and they’ve held up fine! In any event, you’ll want to make sure to only hand wash a hand painted bag.
What is the pen you drawing on paint ?
Hi! They’re posca paint paints ☺️
@@naomisspace8970 thank you ❤️
What paint did you use?
I used Winsor and Newton acrylic paints. Some of them I mixed with a little bit of white fabric paint!
