Don't worry guys. I've seen demolition of squatters near the airport, in Paranaque, Quezon City, Makati, Manila's esteros. In Pasig, demolition is on going along the floodway. Each family is given P20K to P50K by the government for them to be relocated or go back to their provinces. As per census, 99% of these informal settlers originally came from the provinces. Government should also invest in its people by improving quality and standard of education. We need a lot of well educated, well trained and professional trades people there.
There are lots of improvement in terms of infrastracure and buildings in meyro manila and other cities of the philipppines but the reality is there are still alot of slums in metro like payatas baseco pier happyland squatters along rivers and esteros, people living in streets, undiscipline people, currupt officials, air, water and air pollution and other problems.. But I hope as years go by these problems will minimize if not totally eradicated. Sulong Pilipinas!!!
Try to search now the estero, pasig river and mnila bay is already clean the squater from the side of river is now relocate to cavite and the illegal vendors not allowed to sell in side walk the goverment demolish all store in side walk.
i'm sure the ongoing & future projects will materialize bec of the hardworking & brilliant pinoys such as engineers, archi's, businessmen and even laborers!😊
Yes, they are earthquake resilient. The Philippines has been conscious about earthquake resiliency after experiencing catastrophic earthquakes in the past. There is no better teacher than experience.
Im so grateful that this is happening in the Philippines. This is the future that the children of before are working on becuase they are the future of today and the children of today will continue to build and conquer it all to achieve a better and not just better but the best Philippines that could ever be. God Bless the Philippines. God Bless the World. God Bless us all.
You should do something first about the slums and informal settlers. Only then can you see these projects through. Plan a better urbanisation and relocate residential places to the outskirts of the metro. And prioritise mass transportation
I still prefer the natural beauty and white sandy beaches in the province. Coming from the west Im not impressed by expanded concrete jungle and traffic nightmare. Philippines should bring back the railway system and rapid transit to lessen traffic congestion. Also there are nice areas but just 3 to 5 kilometers is a slum area, There should be proper zoning and better urban planning. They should expand in the provinces or suburbs to lessen the congestion in Manila. Sidewalks are the worst design except BGC where its wider and wheelchair friendly. It still a work in progress but very slow. Singapore and Thailand have better infrastructure and Phil cant compete with modern Japan, south Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Must improve all over the country not just Manila, specially the life of the poor they need proper jobs proper income proper housing etc.hoping for no squatters very soon!🙏🏻
They are already started to develop CBD from different parts of the country. Like Clark Pampanga, CEBU IT PARK, ILO-ILO city, Laguna, and many more to come.

This people who lived in a slum area need to go back to there provinces..better life in Manila really yes! Only if u work hard.Much better and easy life in the provinces where they plant crops and farm fishing.
Did some social work years ago surveying some squatters area, most are rooted from provinces, and not even the near by regions, most are from far flung parts of the Philippines. Most of the original families from Manila are well educated professionals and have titled houses and properties. I would say though, any big city has it's slums, some are just better with hiding it, in very tall apartment buildings, peaking inside will reveal it's not so much different from the slums of Manila. And the poor population actually makes Manila one of the cheapest metropolitan city to live in.
Geocinia Tolosa dont worry, development in provinces are being push too, so we dont all have to flock in Metro Manila. the discipline and growth was stalled when they remove Marcos in Edsa revolution, there was even talk that those squatters started during Edsa revolution they got people from provinces to join every rallies in the Capital then after there’s no discipline anymore under the leadership of incompetent puppets like the Aquinos. Me, personally, I would rather live in other beautiful provinces of Philippines like Batanes, Baguio, Bohol, Palawan, Camiguin, Siargao, Cotabato, Tawi-Tawi, and so many too choose from 7,000 plus islands of Philippines. We have to trust Almighty Father Abba, so we can help our nation grow and no poor will be left behind.
@Angelo Villafuerte, actually both Aquino adminstration Cory's and Pinoy's was the lowest economic point of the country, Marcos regime experienced the golden age of economy, we were 2nd to Japan in Asia, magnanakaw? na hanggang ngayon wala pa rin kayong proof sa accusations nyo?! puro lang bentang.
I still prefer Manila in the 80's...less traffic ..less pollution....what the use of those beautiful buildings....if the public transportations are soo pitiful...LOL!!!
Oh well we just have to wait kc ngayon pinaplano na yung subway at syaka pinapaluawag at gumagawa ng mga bagong kalsada at pinapaalis na yung mga nagtitinda sa mga kalsada kaya nasikip yung trapiko....syempre alam din ng gonyerno na kung tataas at patuloy na lalaki ang development ng ating bansa dapat na unti unti na nila alisin ang mga problema tulad ng traffic, pollution at crime...
BGC is the only modern small city. Makati I lived there before and visited last April and some areas has narrow sidewalk congested and broken cement sidewalk all over even close to SM mega mall. It has deteriorated and lacked maintenance. Local government should fixed it and clean the trash.
for those who sees this video of metro manila in different view, all i can say is that MM or the entire PH, still a work in progress. there are still lot more to do in and out. nevertheless, i could humbly say that PH right now is a glass half full, or a little bit near that level, from being empty....
Hmmmm Mindanao's cities and provinces still need some 'fixing'. Though it has many beautiful aspects to see, it's still kinda lacking when it comes to infrastructures. Nevertheless, the Panguil Bay Bridge is currently being constructed (it will connect Tangub and Tubod). And also, the planned railway that Im not sure of it's already being constructed lmao
Wow I left the Philippines in 1993 what a transforamtion of Manila hope to see more City like this in Davao/Cebu/Ilo ilo/Clark and all major City in the Philippines mabuhay po kayo.
Thanks for sharing this video! Hopefully our transport systems keep up to support people's mobility to be connected with our loved ones each moment and at the same time fulfill our commitments.
Tropical Babe bad way, free education in college and university. best way, provide student loan with a very low interest, pay back at least 10 yrs. with +2 yrs of grace period. b/c all the institutes are belong to the people of Philippines. and gov. loan for private institutes too. and the expenses in state u is very cheap.and I don’t believe the poor can get entrance exam. to the state u,only the middle class and the rich can do that.the poor are not ready to fight in entrance exam.

+Drex Alacar wooooh drama! you never were duterte supporters from the start! lokohin nyong lelong nyong panot!
Wow! That's great city. Tempted to visit

Hopefully all those new buildings are earthquake resilient.
you are bad don't come to my country ever ok!
BoracayADMIRER for sure! Filipinos have the most intillegent engineers and architect's in the world! World class!!!
of course since it's a standard requirement for a building in a country in the ring of fire
Dumb ass
Wow amazing drone vid and I love your content keep sharing
Must improve all over the country not just Manila, specially the life of the poor they need proper jobs proper income proper housing etc.hoping for no squatters very soon!🙏🏻
Why don't you pray to God?!
They are already started to develop CBD from different parts of the country. Like Clark Pampanga, CEBU IT PARK, ILO-ILO city, Laguna, and many more to come.

Manila is horribly crowded and chaotic. PLEASE there are lots of areas in the Phil that needs infrastructure... WHY congest in the same location???
Roberta Rodriguez very true
Roberta Rodriguez idk, because so much developers want to urbanize always in the urban area. However, there are city projects outside metro manila.
Agreed
Clark...
I want tall and sky crapers here in caloocan city but

Yeah, they're just making the city into trouble and give messes.
Who's watching from 2020, Corona Virus year? Love from Taguig.
MIA
I love you guys from 🇵🇭 Philippines ❤️🤘
love manila
from indonesian makassar
love indonesia too and both country is rich philippines is rich and inodnesia is rich too 🇵🇭❤🇮🇩
I'm excited for the mega projects ;w;"
All the best for Philippines...
Finally Philippines is aweken and just getting started... Nice.
nice to be optimistic .....
Sooo relaxing senses....sights...views...feel...music sounding...fresh & clean smell....wonderful! 🎆✨💞💫
I still prefer Manila in the 80's...less traffic ..less pollution....what the use of those beautiful buildings....if the public transportations are soo pitiful...LOL!!!
curry fishead ikaw un kasi maka Lumang Tao ka. Kami ayaw namin ng Luma. Ewwww
stealth fighter Or you know, BETTER PUBLIC TRANSPORT
We can have helicopters as public transport to avoid traffic. Problem is traffic will be on the air. Hahaha.
Love philippines from india bihar
Wow I love Manila.
Try to make another version of this, in 2021, a lot also has changed, so many infrastructure are build in the country!
Love manila from indo😘
Mmpus..gada like
The first time in Manila was in 1984, and the last time in Manila was in 2018. and yes...HUGE difference.
for those who sees this video of metro manila in different view, all i can say is that MM or the entire PH, still a work in progress. there are still lot more to do in and out. nevertheless, i could humbly say that PH right now is a glass half full, or a little bit near that level, from being empty....
Love how Philippines is growing.
Soon it will rise again, not as great like others. Atleast recovering from worst.
Wow I left the Philippines in 1993 what a transforamtion of Manila hope to see more City like this in Davao/Cebu/Ilo ilo/Clark and all major City in the Philippines mabuhay po kayo.
Fantastic. Manila. city
Thanks for sharing this video! Hopefully our transport systems keep up to support people's mobility to be connected with our loved ones each moment and at the same time fulfill our commitments.
Plus the free education in every State University 😍 God bless Philippines
Tropical Babe
bad way,free education
in college and university.
best way,provide student
loan with a very low interest,
pay back at least 10 yrs.
with +2 yrs of grace period.
b/c all the institutes are
belong to the people of Philippines.
and gov. loan for private institutes too.
and the expenses in state u is
very cheap.and I don’t believe
the poor can get entrance exam.
to the state u,only the middle class
and the rich can do that.the poor
are not ready to fight in entrance
exam.
Like your video. Haven't seen Manila the way you see it although I was born in Manila and stayed in the country for 30 yrs. You are right, architects do change the landscape.
in many years philippines became the sleeping tiger of South East asia but now it awoken from its sleep and rise again
Wonderful Manila....rise high...more power!
