Dont listen to this guy. He has no clue what hes talking about and clearly cant appreciate good stuff even when its in his hand. Its a lovely watch, with the legendary square look, but also packing TONS of extrea features like sleep analytics, smart wake up alarm, etc etc etc. You can customize the menu system to how you want everything to be, there are even alot of ways to customize the different faces you can choose between, and what to be visible, and you can steer the watch functions from the app too if need be. The DW-H5600 is exactly what I have been wanting for many years now, since their other smart G's with HR simply have been too big for my taste.
I've been looking for a warts & all review of this square. Thanks for this. I think this square is experimental and future modifications & improvements will hopefully mean you can have the functions of a fitness smart watch with the size look & feel of the 5610 .....
Thank you, sir. I had high hopes for a Square with MIP. So I'm disappointed in this one. I don't think the physical design of the DW-H5600 is conducive to a good fitness watch.
Good video, something you may have missed though is on the phone you can change the layout and order of the menu system. Doesn’t solve all of your problems but it would solve some of yours.
That's good to know! Thanks for sharing the information, Mr. Evensen. Reordering the menu items would go a long way to making the watch easier to navigate.
Mr Shiro, I can tell you want this one. It does look amazing! And if you want the Bluetooth functions then even better for you. The fit isn’t *that* bad. Certainly not bad enough to turn anyone away who’s really interested. It just leaves a dent on your skin. So I’d say get it!
Hey your problems with setup (birth year only going FORWARD) can be done very easily on the app on the phone. It's part of your profile there and online. Nice to see the new watch. Does it track sleep?
Yes it tracks sleep. It has the same nightly recharge function as the H2000. But you may not like this one because it doesn’t have gps to tell you how far you ran.
@JimmyKinkade it has connected GPS, so it needs your phone. Usually companies do this to increase battery life on the watches. I'm kind of interested on the ready score based on sleep. I may check this out.
You don’t need to have notifications in the mode options. You can disable them using the phone app under widgets. You can even change the order that you prefer, like stop watch as first option.
Wait till you buy MGR square if you think this is expensive. And it is suppose to be a square with added fitness features. If you are looking for a fitness watch then you bought the wrong one in the first place.
I use my square in military service and the Bluetooth is only on when i need to sync time when i can't get a multi band signal but considering its accuracy you theoretically only need to do that once or when you need to swap out the rechargeable battery. Any sent signal is a risk in the field of being detected and any superfluous and pointless features are just power hogs that detract from what makes the square legendary durability, dependability and no nonsense and no bloat. Step counter, heart monitor, integrated yoga instructor etc are features your phone or a 50$ fitness strap can do better that you don't need in your watch. Besides its faster and easier to just look at your phone for pointless spam notifications anyway. Mip display is a great low power feature and a 100th of a sec is not really that useful outside Olympic or world cup tier sports and when you need that level of precision odds are you are using a dedicated timer and not a watch as the margin of human error in stopping the watch is bigger than a 10th of a second.
The hr monitor is flawed definitely seems inaccurate at times , the light only functioning for 5 seconds with one button is annoying this would be a great 150 to 200 dollar watch , for 300 that extra 100 bucks isnt worth it for a sub par fitness tracker battery killer
I don’t agree with you. I am using dw 5600 with heart rate it is cool and it is also comfortable after few days, I just sold my apple watch bcs need every day or max 2 days needs a charge,2000 looks ugly bytheway
Mr. Horasano, thanks for the comment. Do you mind me asking your wrist circumference? Based on what I’ve seen the watch isn’t as comfortable for bigger wristers. The watch did grow on me as I wore it though. I don’t care how ugly the H2000 is, btw. It’s comfy.
this is so true. i wanted a watch for the heart rate for health reasons. one thing that is a fact is that all the other fitness watches look TERRIBLE. this g shock is simply beautiful. the only complaint i have is that it doesnt have stress detection like the most recent fitness watches and more color options.
Good review. Please keep the good work! Yeah, i kinda feel the same like you. -I also have GBD-H2000 and i would also rate it 5/5. I knew this H5600 would be released shortly after the H2000 but after looking at the specs and the bump at the back for the heat rate , i decided to buy the H2000. I don’t regret it, so far it has been a fabulous watch for me. It’s not perfect , yes, but it pretty does everything I need it to do. ✌🏼
You can change and/or remove the mode you dont want...! You can remove breathing exercice if you dont want it, like you can put stopwatch as the first mode to come up ....biased video

How do you think, how to adjust a mode for bicycling? Go to the "workout" or else?

great review, you made me want the watch, I will order it tomorrow itself..thank you so much 🙏
Thank you for this very helpful review - you tell the truth and are not a Casio fanboy as so many other reviewers 🙂
Thank you, sir. I want people to make an informed decision about whether to buy this watch. Too many reviews are just hype videos.
@@JimKinkade You are absolut correct!
I never will understand this fanboys, sometimes it seems to me, that hyping a trademark is the new religion ...
Hi Jim. People have said that the bezel is easy to come off is this true?
Yes, it's not secured buy screws.

This Watch Looks Amazing and for me its good that it Has the bluetooth functions but its very sad that it is uncompfterble to were they say

At the time of writing in the UK the price of this watch is very good for a reliable low maintenance gshock which has useful features.
You don’t need to have notifications in the mode options. You can disable them using the phone app under widgets. You can even change the order that you prefer, like stop watch as first option.
Yea, but I don't want to do all the phone app stuff. I was hoping this would work as a stand alone watch.
This is a great review. Thank you so much
No problem! Thank you for watching, sir.
All I want is that display and retain the solor power, it's not too much to ask.
Apparently Casio can't follow simple instructions! make the classic square with MIP and solar. That's it!
Wait till you buy MGR square if you think this is expensive. And it is suppose to be a square with added fitness features. If you are looking for a fitness watch then you bought the wrong one in the first place.
I may have to seek my pickup to afford an MRG.

does it have call notification
Yes
Yes, it will notify you if you have a call. You can’t answer the call though.

True! The H5600 has no business pretending to be a fitness watch. It's way too expensive.
The Gbd 200 is better than the 5600. I made the right choice not buying this tbh. Thanks for exploring the weaknesses. This was useful.
I think you made a good choice. My buddy has the GBD 200 and it looks like a much better form factor.
you are 100% right

You and I are on the same wavelength.
disagree
boomer couldn't figure it out
Is it realy that Uncompfterble???
No. It’s not that bad. Just mildly uncomfortable. It would fit better without the protruding heart rate monitor.

Yes, it is a biased video. I’m biased against stupid watch features like Bluetooth and USB charging.
could you wash your hands ?
The G-Shock is a working man's watch. I wouldn't trust a G-Shock review by a man with perfectly clean hands.
you have rarely bad taste, almost unique bad taste
What do you mean?
This is the most arbitrary and illogical video I have ever viwer, by far.
I don’t know how many videos you’ve ever viewed so that doesn’t mean much to me.
It is OK. 99,99% of people are not interested in anything exept their own attitudes.@@JimKinkade
