Hi, I am currently building a website for a karaoke business. They have an array of songs but would like a plugin that will give the end user the option to search for a particular song or artist. Is there a plugin that I can use for this? I currently have a PDF of their list but I am looking for the easiest method to input the information of course hahaha.
WordPress Tutorials - WPLearningLab, What a fine tutorial with many options, descriptive, easy to follow directions! Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial and help so many of us out!
I know you have a ton of comments but I feel the need to compliment you anyway because you have helped me out tremendously and, I can't thank you enough for your help!
That's awesome Nicola! Since this video was released, there's another way to embed PDFs on your site without using any plugins, which may interest you. Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/OCiKyj9E448/v-deo.html and skip to 14 minutes and 54 seconds
Hi Edriss, I'm happy it worked for you! I try to make my videos as easy as possible, but you know how technology goes :) Thanks for the sub, much appreciated!
This was really easy to follow! Thank you for this tutorial. I'm going to start with the third option. I am uploading an interactive PDF with links in it. Do you know if there's a best option for mobile users? I want it to be as mobile friendly as possible.
Thank you for the great video. Could you teach how to create a "Email Capture" page. Where visitors will need to enter email in order to download. Thank you!
Just started with the wonders of Wordpress. Great video instructions clear. Have tried a couple of plugins for PDF but not getting what I need. I have a PDF file providing daily information. I'd like to update the PDF automaticially by overwriting the uploaded file. This does not seem to update the pdf being displayed on my web site. Not sure if this is even possible or whether I've missed a step or two along the way. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Johannes, If the PDF you upload every day has the same filename and you upload it to the same location then it will replace the old PDF. The trouble is that browsers cache the PDF file for faster loading in the future. Since the PDF has the same filename, the browser doesn't check any further to see if it's a new file. So your users will have to clear their browsers cache and cookies before opening the PDF or download the PDF to their harddrive, which will be the new version every day. Or you could change the filename of the PDF each day to save your users the hassle. I hope that helps, let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!
This was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. And your teaching style is excellent. All the information I need but no BS. Good for you! PROBLEM: I get a blank white page when I click on the link for your Free 17-Point WordPress Pre-Launch PDF Checklist. ?!?
Thanks so much for these videos. They are very helpful. As a suggestion, you may want to put links to the plugins or products you review so that people can easily click on them.
Excellent! thank you! I have been trying to do this but couldn’t get it right. I just found your channel and so far you are very helpful!! I have the most embarrassing question and I know this isn’t maybe the spot but i’m gonna try... do you or anyone reading know why someone’s admin top menu bar doesn’t have the options that shows above in this video...doesn’t say the “howdy” but I am admin on my business account....?
Love the last version too, might be a bit of an ask, but would like to use that and show it in full view - with the option to download on a page- builder, I'm using BB. Bit of an ask but is that possible?
Thanks for the tutorial! I was able to follow it up to actually adding the media to a post. Though the PDF if showing up in my media library when I navigate directly to the media library, when I attempt to add media to the post, the PDF is *not* showing up in the media library. Have you seen this problem?
Love the 3 ways to add a PDF!! Thank you so much for this video!! I have a question on the 3rd way that you are doing a tutorial on, what plugin in would you recommend for the 'access allow' section. For e.g only members or people who have an account are allowed to DL the file. Please give some recommendations! Thank you!
For membership sites Paid Memberships Pro and MemberPress are great options. I don't have a lot of "membership" site tutorials yet unfortunately...they're on my long list of tutorials to record.
Hi - great videos - is there a way to add your own image as a cover for the pdf on the wordpress page instead of using the provided icons? I have 15 product guides that I want to add all on one Product Catalogue page and i would like to have a unique image for each different pdf catalogue.
Great instruction! I am using the WordPress Download Manager but the title of my file is redirecting to a blank page, rather than downloading the file. There is also a "Download" button next to it, but the two options make it not very user friendly. Do you know how I can get disable the permalink on the title of the file so viewers only have the option to select "Download" ?
Is there anyway I can make PDF Embed (or one of the other download options mentioned here) automatically begin the download when they arrive to the page with the plugin? The reason is I already have clients clicking on a "Download Now" button from a mail chimp email collection form. Much appreciated!

This is the same as back in the days when we used HTML and by clicking on the link it will open a specific jpg image. Please help. Thank you

How would I embed a fill-and-return option? For example a Home Inventory form?
This would be something that a home owner would fill out on your site? If so, a form is probably better than a PDF.

I am interested in allowing customers to complete and sign a fillable form, such as an application. Do you have information on that process?
I don't have any videos created for that yet, but it's a good topic. When you say "sign" the form, do you mean a digital signature like you would get with Docusign and have it be legally binding?

Hello, I'm looking for a way to embed a PDF on my page that displays all of the fields I've created in Adobe Acrobat DC for my members to be able to fill out. Is there a way or a plugin I could use that would allow for this? Thank
do any of these work if you have an editable PDF that we want to collect DATA on or have the user sign?
Another great tutorial, thanks.
Quick question, is there a plugin that creates a pdf form for my clients to fill out and once submitted is emailed to me? If so are these premium or free forms?
Hi Paul,
I've never heard of a plugin that does that. I know you can build forms right into PDF files using Adobe Acrobat. Anyone can fill out the form, save it and then email it to you. I haven't heard of this in the form of a WordPress plugin though.
That said, I know for a fact it can be custom coded. The way it would work is your client fills out a regular web form and submits it. A PHP script fills their form responses into a PDF template and then sends the PDF to you and to them if you want them to have a copy.
I have a pdf with four pages. How would I put this on Wordpress Classic Editor and Gutenberg?
Pdf Embedder by Dan Lester is no longer available. Is there any similar recommendation.
Thank you so much for sharing this information. It looks as if the third way of embedding a pdf is best for me. I have a few questions, 1. how do you add pdfs to thrive architect? from the thrive dashboard, i can't seem to get it on there.
So after you download PDF embedder, you can no longer post regular links?
Super video

HEY MAN I have a question for the download manager which is the last thing is there any way I can make it view my pdf viewed online for that ?
Hi Anas,
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "make it view my pdf viewed online for that".
WordPress Tutorials - WPLearningLab true I guess it's a useless question btw is it okay if I ask you which hosting is better A2 or Namecheap?
Hi Anas,
I've never used either. I've bought domains from NameCheap, but never used their hosting. I'm a fan of SiteGround right now and my main sites are on WPEngine.
Thanks alot man this way helpful, my problem with site ground is they dont offer alot of online DISK SPACE
That'll do it.
I try my hard and the pdf embedder on thwo search engines refuse to install pdf embedder. THe button is grey, my blocking is disabled, and the suggestion field is to upgrade to paid. Can fillable pdfs be embedded in Wordpress and still have the functionality?
Which of these options would be best for mobile?
Probably the one where it opens the PDF in a new tab. That will make the viewable area of the PDF as large as possible.
I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Seems the PDF embedder recommended is no longer available, any new suggestions?
