Fascinating architecture Colonel particularly the "Coin" reminds me of a giant powder compact.😊 The roads are so clean, a credit to the society. Thank you I found this tour very interesting. Love to view other cultures. Apartment living seems the preferred home of residents there. Thank you, take care.xo😊❤xo

I love these videos! So interesting...from a place we'll never see. Wondering if people are "polite" when using the round a bouts.
Here instead of yielding, most people gauge whether or not they
can beat you! I guess I'm asking if there are "jerk drivers" in the UAE?

I'm curious, have you and your family always lived urban? Being in the military would that be the case? I grew up in southern rural Appalachia (back in the sticks). I've never lived in an apartment or a city. I can't fathom such a thing. I remember teaching my daughter to drive & told her to always make a 3 second stop even when there's no one around because I guarantee you someone will be watching, sure enough years later her & her two girl friends were cruising off highway around the fields & she said it was pitched dark & on their way back at the last stop sign going to the highway she didn't completely stop & she knew it because she felt no one was around But she got pulled over for it. She said mom you were right I should've stop.

I appreciate the update as I left in 2018. Yeah, I remember the giant throat lozenge building at Al Raha. Abu Dhabi is certainly calm most the time. Not much to do other than dining and malls. Great travel hub. Excellent food, too. I recommend a minimum six figure income unless you are also being compensated generously. E.g, I was US Gov, so not quite six figures, but our 'case' did shell out a good chunk of change for prime accommodations on the Corniche, rental car, phone plan, etc. Overall, a very decent experience for the family. I count us fortunate to have lived in Abu Dhabi when we did.

Sunday drive with the Colonel…..yippie! Could you show us the Chrislam Synagogue One World Religion Headquarters…might be called Abrahamic Family House, located on Saadiyat Island. Understand it is supposed to be opening soon. Have seen pictures but with your camera would be awesome to see. Sending blessings & 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I saw it's opening in 2022. I'll have to check that out.

Thank you for showing that. I don’t like to be rude but to me it looks like a concrete jungle. Those huge apartment blocks might end up like slums in Britain and Singapore. Not a park in side. The heat sounds terrible and it looked so lonely. I’m glad you are in an hotel. How do you spend your days off ? Is the R Mrs R . coming to live or visit ? I will be so interested to hear how she likes it.

There are parks here, Carol. I'll take you all to visit one soon as it cools down a bit. I usually spend my days strolling around a mall, take in a movie, or going out to eat. Tending to this channel has also kept me busy. Arlene was here for a visit back in 2015. She liked it then. We'll see if she still feels the same way when she comes out in a few weeks.

Maybe next time we could go to the beach! That would be fun...thank you , Sir ;-)
