People keep on making excuses for Alex, but it's simple, he is singing completely out of key, there is no excuse for that. Plus his singing voice is like that in every performance I've ever heard of them.
I like Atreyu, they do some really good stuff, but live, they're vocals just don't cut it. You can say "Well, I'd like to see you sing and play the drums or just sing in general" but the fact of the matter is, they made the music and if they're going to enhance everything with electrical equipment, they should be able to stack up with it live. Every other band has the same dilemma, just other bands do actually sing their songs well live while others lack.
Acctualy, Alex does sing douche bag, he IS the lead singer, the drummer does better clean vocals, but he is still the drums\backup vocals. So @only1timeful was correct in his statement. Maby you need to learn a little more about the band. ;)
haha kinda sad the bass player has a better scream than the singer the drummer has a beautiful singing voice way better than the singer and even Dan the guitarists can sing better than the singer lol but i still love them
The lead singer has a truely amazing scream live, identical to the recordings but other then that he's terrible >_< When your drummer in your band is a better singer than you, it's time to get some lessons. IJS

@ITwest97 well the singer is the screamer he perfects that. so brandon the drummer does the chorus and cleans most of the time
i remember i went to see Metallica this day, i started headbanging to this song until they got to the gay ass singing.....
the band that led me to atreyu was avenged seven fold (still the best band) but atreyu is really good aswell
it sometimes sounds shit when they play live but when u listen 2 it on cd or something it sounds way better
