If someone finds a live video of Alex singing well, please put it up. With the exception of when the did Ex's and Oh's live on Jimmy Kimmel, I've never seen a good example.
Um, so the "main" singer here is not the main singer, but the screamer. At which he is godly. Also, it's pretty clear his earpiece was either gone, or not working. It was probably a bad day for him too, everything coming together to conspire against Alex and bring him UA-cam hate.
@Bludhoundz8 Sure he's got the confidence, but he doesn't have the talent for clean vocals. He's tonedeaf for all intensive purposes, and singing lessons don't really help you develop an ear, if you don't have one. Like I said, I love Atreyu, and I still consider Alex one of my favorite screamers, but as you can see (hear) in this video, He just can't sing. 'Tis a shame though. I think his disability is the main reason a lot of people don't like Atreyu.

Their crappy live performances most likely result in people being disappointed and not coming back. Therefore, Alex is hurting their ability to make money. Touring is where artists make their money, not selling albums. Look at the rest of these comments. No one believes he's any good.
i would be so ashamed if i were them. they should look at avenged sevenfold who they toured with for so long and look at how good they are live. its not so much anyone other then the singer.. but you would think after playing as many shows as they have the past few years he would sit down and maybe listen to himself and work on it. this isnt a hard song to sing. this is pro shot lol it exposes them so badly this video makes them look horrible. and i like this band.. but its hard after this

But I still even like "Lead sails paper anchor" better than "Congregation..." with songs like "falling down" and "becoming the bull" and "doomsday", oh, and "blow" of course.
Ok. the drummer is the lead singer for those of you confused. The lead guy is the screamer. before, he used to only scream. Cuz his scream is killer. He is not a singer. But they decided to use him as one. Big mistake. He sucks at singing. Which is why he was never supposed to. This video totally discraces Atreyu. Even their guitars are bad in this song.
