Chy is hesitant to leave her other job and I see why - Winter is unstable and the fact you could threaten to stop the podcast is a red flag. Chy don’t quit ur job!!
I agree with this. It made me sad that Winter was considering stopping the pod and Chy said that never crossed her mind. Makes me think that Winter would threaten to take this away whenever she gets mad and Chy needs to make sure she has her own options. A real friend wouldn’t threaten that, especially if you don’t mean it. Luckily Chy has grown her own fan base so when this inevitably blows up, she can do her own thing.
Two things can be true: Winter should have communicated about how she was feeling sad and embarrassed instead of running off and expecting to be chased AND Chy & them should have done more to check on Winter and made sure she was having a good time on her birthday. I think both parties could’ve handled the situation differently.
Did yall want her to have a melt down in the club before her best friends got it??? They both stated that winter said she wanted to leave multiple times and they both said winter said she was embarrassed and wanted to go multiple times. She communicated clearly that she wanted to leave but her best friends wanted to stay plain and simple. Chy can say all the excuses in the world but she was dead wrong for letting her friend leave by herself in another country ESPECIALLY on her birthday. They could have had a real deep conversation back at the room or the next day.

I’m not flying 12 hours to sit in a room mad & I’m definitely not chasing after a grown ass woman who can’t effectively communicate or control her emotions. Chy did her part by sending whatever message & she ain’t respond. Yes it was her birthday, but if you taking your time and resources away from your everyday life, make sure it’s worth it. Go out & enjoy yourself.

I think it’s dramatic and draining to go on international trips with people who get emotional and want to run off. If you are feeling a way, communicate it, you’re grown. I’m sure they would have left with you (whether they wanted to or not). Putting someone in that ultimatum situation like “my night is ruined so I wanna ruin yours so come with me” is toxic. Seems like you expect people to chase you..

Yes!!!! I’ve had a friend of mine once upon a time walk off into a crowd in miami of 2,000+ at rolling loud with my phone and while it was pouring rain at 10 at night. All because she got upset that people didn’t want to leave our spots in the crowd to stand under a tarp that was already packed with people there. It ruined EVEYONES night.
But it is her birthday, and I don’t think it’s dramatic she was having an emotional moment and she did mention she wanted to leave and nobody left with her. I feel like winter would do a lot for her friends and values then a lot for them to do that.

being a person with bpd means: you have a treatable condition where your thinking brain turns off at times when you need it the most. if we are in treatment, working towards emotional sobriety is a daily battle and we often slip up.

No hate, just an observation. This is the first episode that made me realize Wintrr really needs counselling. Several podcasts stories elude to problematic behaviour. But after listening to Chy’s mom speak on the quality of Chy’s friendships and seeing how understanding Chy can be vs. Wintrr constantly talking about her small circle and willingness to cut anyone off at the drop of a hat, it’s concerning. I see a slight victim mentality in the way she explains her stories and how she reacts to things. She constantly talks about being attacked on the internet, people disliking her etc, so she will likely always be defensive when conflict arises. I hope this trip doesn’t cause your friendship to spiral downwards.

Winter is an adult and she decided to leave alone, since she was the only one who thought the club was dry. However, I’m also the mother of my group of friends and when one leaves I’m leaving with them and being transparent about it. I can see both sides, but im ultimately proud of you two women talking it out because that’s not worth risking your amazing friendship. I too have friends with different personalities so it only gets better when working out your differences💗 also going to your show, can’t wait!

this right here is why i have a love hate perspective of winter. she talks from experience and sounds so accountable and teachable but then she says and does things that contradict that notion. we aren’t all perfect people and id never hold anyone to that but for me it’s the attitude. don’t say things like idgaf, idc, it’s over, i don’t wanna talk about it etc. if it’s clearly still affecting you so deeply. speak on what you feel so you aren’t playing mind games with the people who care about you. the “idgaf” attitude never adds up to the sweet sensitive side everyone in winters close circle talks about.

Winter, you definitely have the right to feel and express your feelings. Just remember that emotions are temporary, don’t let them leave a permanent mark. Focus on the facts, for example: you know Chy would never intentionally abandon you. Take a deep breath and allow these emotions to pass through you. This is something a therapist taught me. I know winter said she was cured of her BPD but this whole thing screams BPD. She created chaos in her own head, held everyone responsible for her emotions. I am concerned that one day Chy is going to get sick of tip toeing around in this friendship and dip out for good. It would be sad to see a real true friendship end/and the podcast. But I also understand from past experience, how exhausting and stressful such a relationship/friendship can be

Winter you are lucky to still have these amazing friends who support you and still love you. From watching your podcast and seeing some of your personal content there is most def some toxic behaviors that you must work on. These friends accept you for who you are. It is a little sad that they think you walking away is normal. They are so used to that toxic behavior of yours that they are just like "ehhh whatever it's normal". Chy you are such a good friend. You are very understanding and you are aware of others feelings. You take accountability and that is AWSOME!

Makes me think that Winter would threaten to take this away whenever she gets mad and Chy needs to make sure she has her own options. Yes!!!! I’ve had a friend of mine once upon a time walk off into a crowd in miami of 2,000+ at rolling loud with my phone and while it was pouring rain at 10 at night. All because she got upset that people didn’t want to leave our spots in the crowd to stand under a tarp that was already packed with people there. It ruined EVEYONES night.
But it is her birthday, and I don’t think it’s dramatic she was having an emotional moment and she did mention she wanted to leave and nobody left with her. I feel like winter would do a lot for her friends and values then a lot for them to do that.

No hate, just an observation. This is the first episode that made me realize Wintrr really needs counselling. Several podcasts stories elude to problematic behaviour. But after listening to Chy’s mom speak on the quality of Chy’s friendships and seeing how understanding Chy can be vs. Wintrr constantly talking about her small circle and willingness to cut anyone off at the drop of a hat, it’s concerning. I see a slight victim mentality in the way she explains her stories and how she reacts to things. She constantly talks about being attacked on the internet, people disliking her etc, so she will likely always be defensive when conflict arises. I hope this trip doesn’t cause your friendship to spiral downwards.

Winter is an adult and she decided to leave alone, since she was the only one who thought the club was dry. However, I’m also the mother of my group of friends and when one leaves I’m leaving with them and being transparent about it. I can see both sides, but im ultimately proud of you two women talking it out because that’s not worth risking your amazing friendship. I know winter said she was cured of her BPD but this whole thing screams BPD. She created chaos in her own head, held everyone responsible for her emotions. From watching your podcast and seeing some of your personal content there is most def some toxic behaviors that you must work on. These friends accept you for who you are. It is a little sad that they think you walking away is normal. They are so used to that toxic behavior of yours that they are just like "ehhh whatever it's normal". Chy you are such a good friend. You are very understanding and you are aware of others feelings. You take accountability and that is AWSOME!
