I’m 62, and my Royal Enfield Classic 350 has me enjoying riding again. It’s easy to forget how much pleasure can be derived from a small simple motorcycle. No more stress.

I own the very same Supernova Meteor since 2022. Yesterday I did my first own oil change successfully. It was very necessary and it runs much smoother again. It has run 5600 km without much issue. Had the engine light once with a sensor error, nothing severe. I added the premium footpegs, adjustable levers, the air filter and a rack for luggage with a leather bag on it. I an very content. I am 46 years old and this is my first own motorcycle.

It's truly a great bike, ive had my meteor 350 for over a year now. It has just over 12,000 miles and is used daily as my commuter. Its comfortable, smooth and reliable. I've done all the servicing myself with home tools and it regularly achieves over 100mpg. i previously only ever owned Japanese branded motorcycles but Royal Enfield have created a great range here, long gone are the days of old leaking bikes, new breed of bikes

I bought one of these to return to riding after a 40 year break and I absolutely love it. It's a perfect bike for cruising the back roads, and I like the fact that it's fairly basic (no rider modes, etc.) as it means I can just concentrate on enjoying the ride.

I’ve owned a Meteor 350 for over a year now and still love it. I ride primarily on back roads which it is perfect for, the ideal bike when you don’t need to be anywhere and just need a bit of wind therapy. I’ve also taken it on motorways too and never had any issues keeping up with traffic and overtaking as and when appropriate. As with most bikes it has a rev limiter, but additionally, there is a speed limiter too, I feel the speed limiter kicking in at a displayed 75mph on speedo (though I think it is actually nearer to 72). In my 12 months ownership I’ve not had a single issue, just pure joy from this bike. I returned after a couple of decades absence from riding so didn’t want anything too quick, as it turns out now I’ve slowed down I not only get to enjoy my ride, I get to enjoy the view too. I’m more of a “Born To Be Mild” rider, so this is just perfect for me.

Ive got one of these, i use it as my daily rider. And for that i have to say it's been perfect. Cheap to run, easy to service and maintain, really easy to ride. I like it alot more than i was expecting, even to the point of taking this for a ride on the weekends rather than something bigger. I haven't used it on faster roads (70's) but for anything upto 60 it's been great. I live in this area too so ideal for the twisty back lanes. I don't have the front screen but I can confirm the back rest is perfect for strapping a bag or something else to. Looking forward to the rest of your review. 👍

I bought a 6 month old Meteor, with 630 miles. Now it’s got 2400, since mid March. I have added a few accessories to personalise it. Crash bars, fly screen, touring mirrors, as standard one’s were a blur. Deluxe pegs, heated grips and low seat, am a real short arse.
It really loosens up after 1200 miles.
At 1800 miles, I added the DNA filter and plate.
Yes, this bike has a Rev limiter, and you will top out at 72 mph, once you eventually get there.
But the plate and filter, pulls so much better through the gears, right up to its maximum of 72, with ease. It just breathes much more freely. With that noisier induction sound. It’s a no brainier upgrade.😊

Great review. Your reaction seems to be the norm. People who try them can't stop smiling. I fell in love with the Fireball Yellow version in 2021. Closest dealer was 1800 miles away so I had it shipped. It did not disappoint, and I smile every time I ride it. I've been riding 50 years and it does indeed take me back. I still have a 1977 Honda 360T. Sold my R1100RT from lack of use. I have added numerous mods including windshield, backrest, larger pegs, engine guard, sump guard and bar end mirrors to name a few. Rarely fails to draw peoples comments and attention. Fast motorways are not fun to drive any motor vehicle on. Ask sports car owners. This little bike is as close to motorcycle perfection that a person can find. Cheers.

I have just bought one. I'm 70 years old now and my big single 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet was getting to be too heavy for my hips and back to handle. The Meteor is the perfect bike for me now. Low centre of gravity, quick enough, agile and the electric start is a great relief... The built in features such as the fuel gauge, the gps tripper and the feedback from the instruments is just great.
Still running it in but having a great time riding it.

I started riding in the early 80s but became disabled in 1990 so I do not ride a lot, I will 60 in a few months, twice in my life I went above a 550 and regretted it both times. The first was because I was young and did not know and the second was stupidity for me small displacement, 400 to 550 for street is lovely.
This meteor 350 Royal enfield reminds me of a 883 with the styling (Seat, tank, and rear fender or mud guard) but with a small displacement motor kind of interesting since one of the cracks on HD is they do not have a beginner bike for people into cruisers... I am sticking with my Honda Shadow 500

    I have a Meteor.
At 60+ and had over 50 something bikes, I downsized to this. My criteria was, dose it do 10% more than anything I want and it certainly does.
I ride in a rural area of Germany for which it is perfect. Now it is run-in I have taken it on the Autobahn and was pleasantly surprised that it did absolutely fine with no problems passing big trucks and staying with the traffic (not so fast with current fuel costs).
Have stripped off all pillion related parts added a GIVI rack & pannier system, and fabricated a platform behind the rider that holds a 35L adventure top box. The whole bike is like a mini bagger.
The fuel gauge is very inaccurate but when it's flashing empty, it has done 350km and has 100km+ left which is fine.
If you can live without the couple of times a year you want that massive kick up the pants, it is a highly recommended bike.

Evening Tomboy_a_bit. I got the 650cc Super Metor just for my knees. Arthritis at nearly 70 can be a real bummer with you legs in a normal riding position. So far no knee pain riding this RE. If the 350cc Metor has the same engine at the Hunter, then you could be getting around 90mpg on a run. But I expect if you want that 350 to do more on say a motorway I might be inclined to change the engine drive chain sprocket for one with an extra tooth. Just a thought. Another enjoyable review girl. So till next time safe enjoyable cruising till next time 👍😊.

I bought the Fireball in blue with yellow decal and love it. It is my first big bike so I have no idea how it might compare. What was important for me was moving up from a Vespa 125 to a sensibly powered entry-level bike. I did look at the Super Meteor and the Interceptor both 650cc, but was concerned about the bike weight increase from the Vespa. I may look to power up in 12 months.

Please try and not to make sweeping general statements....there are plenty of nice cyclists....like all groups there's always a few that are less nice....just as there are with car, van, truck drivers....
A nice review of this little bike 🙏

Cyclists are not very nice people?
You'd be surprised how many cyclists also ride motorcycles.

I didn’t mean a personality. Just a behaviour on the road. I know a few cyclists, who rides bikes and not, nice people. Never asked if they turn into something different when they cycle? 😂

I have a blue Supernova and just love it.. Put an exhaust on it that does away with the cat and mod the air box to let the engine breath better. It'll make a world of difference to the bike.
