Been clean for almost 3 years. Surgeries were only 3 months ago. So the recovery is still hell at this point. But I'm making it

I let meth ruin my life and destroy my family. My wife of 11 years recently left me taking my son with her because of my addiction. I've lost myself and everything i cherished most. The guilt of all the pain and anguish i put them threw eats me alive. I want to say my family means more to me than anything but it would be a lie i didnt realize i was in need of help till it was too late. I am now 8 days clean and sober now. The road ahead to finding peace being sober and happy is going to be rough and hopefully i can make it to the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have been clean now for almost 20 years. Started using at 15. Trust me... it gets better. Have to avoid those "friends" at all costs or you will most likely go back to it. It takes time but life is so much better sober. Keep your head up and never give up. Do it for yourself first then do it for your child.

My mother was never around in my life, she was more concerned about getting high instead of caring about her kid, my grandmother passed away in 2011 and I still have memories about it because she cared about me more than anyone I know and I barley want to live anymore because of the pain I feel everyday. My biological mom recently got locked up for burglary and keeps calling me wanting me to bail her out because I have a good job. She never contacted me to see if I was doing okay before I started making money. Shit really fucks with my head thinking that she doesn’t even care about me at all.
