Aw Lily Mae is such a pretty name! My grandmother's name was Rose and I'm trying to grow roses in her memory. Our grandma's are smiling. Garden looks amazing.
GORGEOUS! Yours is one of my favorite gardens - happy and free. It’s just so good. And I have to say, I have not been a huge fan of bee balm, but your drift might have me changing my mind…
Wow! I need a glass of wine and a cigar to go with this one! Hey! There is a bare spot behind the cone flowers. That's some prime real estate! I know something will be planted there soon! Thanks as always for sharing!
A true gardener sees the beauty in the seed heads. I have several varieties of cone flowers, they are coming up with some real beauties now but I also have the standard white and purple. They will give tons of babies so not remembering if you planted them is familiar to me. Chances are they did it themselves. I hear in you myself. This goes beyond hobby to a passion ( for me an addiction for which I want no treatment) 😂 Vicki
So pretty. You have amazing talent for putting plants and colours together. I started sheet mulching to enlarge some old perennial borders, thanks to you. I was becoming overwhelmed with trying to dig out weeds and grass. Placing sheets of cardboard and covering them with dirt is so satisfying because you can actually get planting right away. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with the weeds.
My entire garden is made up I would say at least 90% of Lowes clearance. Don't ever go in and look at the flowers until you hit the clearance 😂. I love your garden style so much 💐 xo thank you for sharing!
You are an amazing gardener, for sure! And it is gorgeous! 🤩 I love the lilies in honor of your Grandmother. I have peonies from my Grandfather’s yard (early 1900’s) that I cherish.
It is gorgeous and so are you perched among the flowers. I need asiatic lilies in my life. I'm glad to see someone else appreciates daylilies. There seems to be alot of folks who don't..too common or some sorta nonsense. I like the way you've mingled them in with other perennials which is one of my gardening goals. My daylilies are in big drifts which is fine when they're blooming but kinda boring when they aren't. So there's alot of dividing and moving around to be done this fall. Thanks for sharing some garden inspiration.
This is so very pretty! Thank you for sharing. I have Jacob's Cline bee balm also and the hummingbirds love it. One of my favs. Fyi, though it may not be pretty, your neighbor's "weed tree" is covered in Virginia Creeper, which is a native vine. Its berries feed 35 different types of birds and it is the host plant for 3 different and neat looking moths.
I was in the nearby Dollar-Tree Store this Spring, they had Purple Coneflower, Hosta, and a bright Orange Asiatic Lily in bags.....I couldn't help myself, I took two of each but sadly only the Lilies came up. I then got a packet of Perennial Mix which listed Echinacea, and I did them in a fresh planting box with fresh mix....all of it is Annual...I see everything I already have in there! .....Soon, I will overcome this Penny-Garden Routine! LOL....I am totally pleased with the Lilies, but now I want more colors! :)
I had to pull out all my lilies, they were constantly being devoured by lily beetles. I have Autumn Joy sedum that is over 40 years old, they were from my late mom's yard and they self seed themselves everywhere. My daylilies have just begun to bloom, in another week or two they'll all be in full bloom. I have over 100 different varieties.
I just love the free style of your planting and especially how the plants are so tight together, just beautiful! I am growing lilies for the first time and love the blue spikes coming up amid your lilies… what is it? Did you plant them together? Thank you so much for a great video once again😊
Thanks!
Welcome!
Thank you so much for the super!! 💕💕💕
