- Syrian refugees Sara and Shadi have been learning about Welsh culture and have fallen in love with their new language.
They arrived in Cardigan a year ago and described how, despite family members wanting to return home, they want to stay in Ceredigion.

I'm proud ..of the PARENTS for actually sending them to a Welsh speaking school.
Same can't be said for many native Welsh born and bred families around the valleys of S.E. Wales though unfortunately.

Then there are the Welsh medium schools such as in the video where EVERYTHING is taught in Welsh, even English is taught through Welsh.

Well done, these amazing kids! I've started learning Welsh about 3 months ago. It truly is a wonderful language; it's very easy to make huge leaps and bounds, and also easy to become addicted to. I just wish I'd started many years ago.

If you import people who are not part of your culture and you allow your own culture to be heavily influenced by their culture, you are decreasing the amount of people in your country that practice the culture of the land and increase the amount of foreign influence on your culture, which carries a risk to significantly change or in the worst case dissipate your culture. Immigration is no joke, it can either go well or it can significantly damage your culture. If there is some kind of merit to justify this risk you're taking with your culture then do share, but until then I can only conclude you're being very sloppy with the culture you inherited and perhaps you don't really care about it all that much. In any case you seem complacent with what you have.
