ssj21000 - It took me about 3 launches to not slip at all. Between 2500-3000 RPM on new summer rear tires on hot pavement is a pretty sweet spot. TC off is a must, as is putting it into 'sport' mode (I'm convinced after monitoring performance/fuel that it calibrates the ECU to let the engine run lean and boost power a little).
I have a bone stock 2006 IS350 (with the exception of Tein lowering springs) and with a conservative start and traction control on I timed my 0-60 at 5.1 seconds. They're pretty quick cars. With the right tire pressure, air density, etc, and maybe a bolt on or two, these cars could definitely see under 5 seconds; which is right up there with an E46 M3 in terms of 0-60.
Dude no, change the tires get some wider ones for grip that can put the power down from launch brake pedal gas it in manual with trac off and air density is dependent on temperature cold weather means denser air which means more power but less grip hotter air is less so it bogs the power to keep it cool and within stoichiometry so in some cold ish weather with with Michelin pilot sport cup 2 tires and you'll get an insane launch because the 1st gear ratio combined with the final drive makes this launch like the IS F but in third is when the difference becomes apparent and the IS F will keep on pulling you do full bolt ons cold air intake, intake runners and exhaust headers an unrestricted exhaust setup and the RR Racing tune gets the most of these motors and bumps the redline up to 7200 which gives you a 700rpm of powerband to play with in each gear
@@thoggboogus2560 easy there bill nye the science guy, was just trying to say that it is possible for these cars to hit under 5 seconds given the right conditions. but yeah I agree, good tires help. I have continental extreme contact dw06's, which are widely regarded as pretty darn good for all seasons.
When this video was filmed, my car was on $12k 19” carbon fiber wheels that weighed roughly 9lbs each - a total unsprung weight reduction of 40lbs which is HUGE. I broke one of them shortly after and replaced with different wheels and it’s dramatically slower.
OneAndyOnly Absolutely. The Camry 3.5L V6 puts out 50hp less at stock. They are slightly different engines (Camry has the 2gr-fe vs my 2gr-fse).I'm pretty sure the compression ratio is higher in the Lexus, and it adds direct injection. The F-Sport also has intake/exhaust.
modlife i thought it was closer to 35 hp less, also your using premium, the camry has a slight power gain with premium so it wouldnt be THAT far behind in power. Obviously the 350 has a weight advantage.
OneAndyOnly Only true for the base models. Actually it's more like a 70hp difference. The Camry puts out 268, the 350 F-Sport is estimated at 337 (306 plus 9hp from intake/22hp from the exhaust according to Sewell). It's transmission is also geared significantly lower, giving it a huge jump.
modlife wow, side by side the lexus is much smaller trust me the weight difference is surprising. The camry pulls nice for a family sedan cant wait to try the lexus.
@ thats fine with me, the times are always different and people mess with tire pressure and so forth to lower it. I know that the v8 isf owners put the is350 diffs in it for a reason too
That's pretty quick man, sick car
modlifeproductions so for a perfect launch release the brakes at 3000 rpm and step on the gas to the end?

I timed closer to 4.3 sec in this vid.
Any modifications? Isn’t the stock 0-60mph time 5.6secs? Thanks
Stock is anywhere from 4.6 to 5.1 in good conditions. 5.6 was a modest listing.
@ It's a sub 5 sec car. I own one and my tires fn slip so I know its pretty quick.
@ no it’s 5.1-4.8 seconds
@ Yes it is 👍🏾. Watch vids on yt and stop being ignorant, a troll, or a dumbass. Whichever one you are.
@ mines did 0-60 in 5 sec and another source said they did it in 4.9 sec
I timed 4.5 niceee

What year?
2009
Is this rwd or awd?
Maria Bocanegra awd
Did you see how it flew past 20 mph it’s AWD bud
@@Isf__d no, it’d RWD. AWD did not exist for the 2009 IS350.
@@SIIKAP1 it could be a 2012 nothing specifies if it’s 2009 or not
@@Isf__d he said in another comment it’s a 2009
its much faster than a camry, why?

And people say it's sub 5 second 0-60🤡 MAYBE fbo
