Reboot Familiar Guide: Limina or Grandis?

- A lot of players have a hard time figuring out what to do when it comes to familiars in GMS Reboot. So, I decided to create this discussion video to give players good pieces of information to help them decide on what next steps to make. Pretty great advice, but you missed a few talking points:
1. Everything past Black Mage is SAC gated. Every day a player is SAC gated makes them permanently stalled (until they give more SAC dailies) for future bosses.
2. SAC symbols give a ton of stat- 500 base and 200 per level up, which is a pretty awesome increase in damage. This should be considered since players farm fams for damage increases.
3. The familiar grind is so long and grueling that it’s likely you wouldnt even have found ONE perfect familiar (40% boss and another dmg line) in the amount of time you spend in Grandis getting from lv 260s to Odium (level 275).
All of these points plus the ones you mentioned make it an absolute no-brainer for anyone who takes progression seriously to farm in Grandis first, and then go back to familiar farming after they’re lv. 275.

ive been staying in limina for the past 3 levels (263 atm) to farm fams for main and nodestones for boss mules, been pretty unlucky with fams
the only thing im afraid of is hitting 270 without any boss fam to show for it, what an issue
if fams dropped from grandis areas it wouldnt bug me as much, any advice? 😄
If you have a lot of time to spend on the game, I would stay in limina for the fams. On my Shad, I have two 20% boss fams and one 30% IED fam that I use while bossing. Hope that gives you some perspective on what I settled with. You can go lower or higher, but at the end of the day just go with the flow of what you want. If boss dmg fams are your goal, stay in limina. But if you have little time to play and you want to get to black mage faster, then go to Grandis and forget about the fams. Only fam that matters at that point is large item drop rate.

Nice video but as a very casual reboot noob (i do just dailies), ive managed to make a 277 merc and still can't do 10% damage to nwill so i don't think levels are that important.
I don't mind the slow grind but i think familiar system needs improving in the game as i can't get enough familiars to get past epic level.
Is a good idea grind in cernium to lv 270 then go to limina for familiars?
Maybe. Why, what was on your mind? It’s not a black and white answer so LMK and I can maybe offer you more guidance :)
@@MapleBinch hi im dw lv 260 with lv 2 sacred symbols cant 1shot in cernium. I have decent drop fams (275 total drop buffed) and 2 large hp fams 1 for pt and 1 for me . But not boss dmg fams .
@@ownedpohh If you play a lot, just stay grinding fams IMO. Or do a mix of both once you can start one-shotting in Grandis. I don't think rushing Sacred symbols is really worth it at the moment... Savior increases number of symbols increased and also the content like Seren and Kalos isn't too relevant...
I clicked on this video for a clearer picture of Fam farming, and got a different reason to fame in limina... which is nodestones lmao
