A note for anyone who happens to watch all this time later: Even though I was able to kill Hellux here, I was (and still am) relatively speaking, a noob to the early/midgame. I had very few Hellux kills when I made this, and there was (and still is) a lot that I don't know. Using summons to assist with killing the "little dudes at the bottom" is very obvious and makes phase 2 MUCH easier. This was something I hadn't looked into yet at this point. If you don't have Phalanx Charge, get it. You can simply drop down from the "safe spot", drop phalanx charge, and then focus on the eyes until Phalanx Charge comes off cooldown, and repeat this. The phalanx will then bounce back and forth between the two walls at the bottom, killing the potatoes for you. You will never die to the 5 stack mechanic if you do this. I would argue this makes phase 2 easier than phase 1. Also, forgot to mention that you can dodge the fist by "up jumping" if your class has one, which I was aware of but hadn't made a habit of yet. My next video with much less views of my "3 minute hellux kill," i avoid the fist by doing this nearly every time. It feels a lot more comfortable than jumping off or switching sides - no risk of falling off the platform or getting cursed, since you don't have to move horizontally at all..
Thank you so much for this video. I was so afraid of phase 2 because i didnt realize what was killing me, and it was that damn curse. I thought i had to be up or down at certain times and i just paniced because i would just randomly die and assume it was the explosion he does being buggy. You're awesome! Going to try Hard gollux tomorrow, as normal is the hardest ive cleared.
Anai = anaI (capital i). They don't realize we're all adults now. Amazing guide though, gotta mention will skill and Erda shower for the potatoes if ya got it, major help for classes without organic summons.
Pro tips: 1. Use Advanced Dash (2nd job) to dodge pink breath during phase 1. Stay close to the middle portal. When he turns his face to you, dash to the opposite side. 2. Use Erda Shower or Will skill in Phase 2. Place it at the middle portal so you can focus on hitting on the upper platform. 3. When dodging hand in Phase 2, if I stand on the left platform, I'll use Serpent Vortex to move to the right, then Vortex back to the left to keep damage output consistent. 4. If you're sure that you can make 10%+ in just one burst, it's better to go in a party.
i learned the hard way that erda shower is not very reliable in this instance, will summon is much much better if you don't have a summon for your class
My hero is 20k stats and I’m struggling with this boss man, you make me feel sad. 😢 very good run. Maybe I’m too greedy? Usually if I die 2 times in p1 it’s over. P2 is super hard to manage these potato if I don’t have my summon up. I usually be able to burst him down if I only die 1 time in p1. His p1 suck is probably the hardest to deal with , and Hero 2h is definitely not fast if you hold down your octopunch key or raging blade …..
I feel ya. Sorry my run made you feel sad. I struggled a lot with the boss at first but for me the key was just conceding to him completely in phase one and just waiting for him to use the move. In that window between moves, every time you attack, it gets greedier and greedier. At 20k I would recommend not only being less greedy, but removing ALL greed. Just get in your guaranteed attacks and then start waiting for him. Personally I feel like it's more impatience or hubris than greed, like "God I want this fight to be over so I'm gonna try to squeeze more damage in here" or you start to pay less attention because you're doing better than you normally do and then suddenly you die a bunch in a row. But you just gotta be patient and stick to the plan, and you have to focus the whole time.
@@chriscastle1629 i just think its amazing how with bucaneer u dont have a summon but manage to clear it anyway i noticed that alot of time hellux p2 will use his ability and then his hand and sometimes he would pop a reverse right after his hand, maybe He never did and Im just confused my self , but will definitely try to clear these monster between his skills.
@@chriscastle1629btw, so gollux have 3 cursed pattern? What does the blue electric does and what does the ring does? The curse is just light up eyes I suppose?

You can also double jump straight up in second phase to avoid the fist!
