We actually stir-fry the vines of sweet potato (just the newly sprouted part). They're crunchy and go pretty well with garlic and soy sauce. I don't know if the vines of your varieties are edible or not, though. :D

We are having the sprinklers, curbing and sod done by a landscaper and i want to do the trees, flowers etc myself. So i can pick what i really want. We are in zone 5 also. So it’s fun to see what you are planting.

Since you are planting hosta today I thought I would ask you to do a video on hosta. I would like to know varieties and which ones can be out in the sun and which are for shade only. I keep seeing incredible large hosta plants in people's yards but have know idea which ones they are.

Love the autumn frost in the containers all by themselves! I'm doing more of the simple, mono-color plantings myself this year. So peaceful and soothing. Benjamin sure takes me back to when my son was that age....and he's your and Aaron's age now! I've been planting some hellebores that a friend shared with me this week, as well as some Lily of the Valley. I love it when plants are shared like that and have some emotional ties that come with them. Always think of her when I see them and say a little prayer for her. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Laura, I know you don't grow coleus for their flowers. I'm growing them for the first time in my new state (org. from AZ) and I decided to stop pinching off the seed heads just to see what the blooms looked like. I didn't hate the blooms, but the surprise bonus was that the hummingbirds seem to love them. Have you considered letting them bloom in your pollinator garden?

I'd been meaning to tell you, the lemon coral sedum will take over! It stays rather compact in full sun but still trails everywhere! I have so much draping all of my containers that I don't even know what to do with them anymore! And I only started with a sprig of it last year lol! So many cuttings! Get prepared to give lots away! Can't wait to see the sweet potato project! I have some variety of squash growing right now so I'm curious to see if I can get away with planting sweet potatos here. Puerto Rico gets super hot! Keep up the beautiful work!🌱🍠

No wonder Russell is such a great cat, he has thumb toes (polydactyl for those prone to correcting). When he reached out his paw at the end, that explained everything! I've had two orange cats with extra toes and they have been great cats with big personalities. Thanks so much for the videos Laura. Loved this video. I really like you reusing plants out in your landscape that were in your containers. Curious if you have it/ if you would do a video on planting under trees specifically? I have some I want to plant under but the roots price difficult and I'm wondering if there is some method to getting around them/adding soil that isn't harmful to the tree. Thanks for all your videos!!!

I’ve heard you mentioning sedum before, and I love the look of it. I’ve been wanting to add sedum, to hopefully spread as ground cover in my garden, where I have flagstone set down as a mini seating area, and a few stones leading up to the area. I just bought sedum tiles from Home Depot, and I love the way they look! Are you familiar with sedum tiles? I plan to separate them, and place them in the area to spread. Thank you!

I can't help but wonder how much cost the water bill is and also if drought impacts the farm. That compared to profit from a hobby farm. Like how is this a business other than the Proven Winner endorsement money. There must be farmers in the region that are full-fuctioning depending on their crops for money.
