Bernard Butler answers my question @ Rough Trade East, 28.1.22

On a Friday night at the end of January, Bernard Butler came to Rough Trade East for a performance, an interview and a lengthy chat and autograph session. The evening was just the jewel I needed in this dark month (though I was starving and thirsty by the end of it!).
Bernard noted he was trying not to talk too much in between songs because he was going to be interviewed by Pete Paphides afterward. Pete had introduced the evening by saying that we could write a question to Bernard and put it in a jar on the counter. He even left us another jar of chocolates for our efforts!
After the performance, I went over to the counter to think of a very simple question which was to ask him if his appetite had been whetted by the success of his recent World Tour (tm) to perform his solo songs live. I put hearts all over the card to help it stand out in the jar/stack and I was thrilled that it was the top card that Pete selected to ask! Hurrah.
Bermard gave a very positive response. Listen!
