LEARN:
Action takes place on a 358 х 230 km map - The largest and most detailed recreation of the Battle of Stalingrad theatre ever modeled in a flight simulation with unique structures, buildings and landscapes.
Single-Player Campaign scenario follows the real chronology of the battle starting with Operation Uranus on November 19th, 1942 and continues to the complete liberation of the city on February 2nd, 1943.
Ten Legendary aircraft of the era have been thoroughly re-created using original drawings and blueprints from the Central archive of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
Precise simulation of the flight model allows everyone to learn the special character and limits of each and every plane in the game. Use each of their special abilities and performance characteristics to complete your mission and survive the brutal fight.

@5:45 That 109 was at LEAST 250 meters away! 200 meters MAX for a no deflection shot. For a deflection shot like that? Try 100 meters or less. On the other hand, you're doing much better with those yo-yos! Good stuff as always.
I know this is an old video, but nice flying here! Been watching your old series and I like how you are improving mightily as a pilot, especially with the La-5. Good stuff!

That 109E-7 was a slippery customer, but you managed to bring him down in the end. Crikey, I thought you were going to take his tail-plane off with the last pass after you ran out of ammo. Master those high yoyos and you'll find the La-5 more to your liking and you'll have more airspeed if you close your cooling flaps. It's a better aircraft than everyone is painting it as if you use it properly. Also try pulling more lead on your target, Taff. Your shells are falling behind the enemy because of the lower muzzle velocity of the Russian guns.
Oh how I've missed this! Although our eponymous hero, Trofim, was kind of chasing chicken's around a farmyard with those 109's turning you inside out 😕 but onwards and upwards for our hero of the Soviet Union x2! That Yak can't come soon enough 👍
Yes, he can´t outrun, he can´t outturn and he can´t outclimb the 109 but everytime he tries again up to the point "right, I´m out of ammo". No learning curve.

Good mission, pilot alive and unwounded and only minor damage to the plane with another kill to his credit. I want to see more of this bloke.
21:50 - BAH! This was only his second mission. He was "Comrade Cannon Fodderov." 😉
As the top Soviet ace, I would imagine this is the time for Trofim to transfer to a better ride. Comrade Stalin would be very upset it Trofim was killed, especially if it was because he was in an inferior aircraft.
Such a claim could be made if he were still flying the lend-lease rubbish cast offs given to the brave Soviet pilots by the capitalists! Soviet aircraft are not inferior Comrade. Hero Trofim's demise in a La-5 can only be the result of saboteurs within the ranks of the 21st Fighter Air Regiment. The NKVD will be sent to investigate and the guilty (and not guilty) had better brush up on their mine-clearing techniques. 😜

You can check the event log I think after landing from a mission to see where and which planes were shot down in the mission and who got the credit.

agreed, much better shooting it's just those 20mm low velocity rounds kinda 'dip off' at anything other than super close range
