Will completely sold me on deathcore with "To the Hellfire". I only recently discovered Lorna Shore, and I was absolutely blown away by their performances, but Will's voice gave me chills every time. He is an absolute beast.
He has completely re-ingited my interest in the entire genre. Absolute phenom

I think I'm one of the few people on the planet that isn't crazy over Lorna Shore.. all of their songs sound "jumbled" up, if that makes sense? It sounds like all of the instruments are just blended together as one big messy noise. I know that's probably more because of the mix/mastering and not the band but you know what I mean.
It's just beautiful to listen Will scream.
I feel sad for the people that are not able to appreciate how insanely hard it is to do what he does, and why he is so good because of it.
I'm going to say this if it wasn't for Lorna Shore Pain Remains album and Will amazing vocal I would've never gotten into deathcore

I think that Will's Charisma is one of the reasons why Lorna Shore are so popular. Idk really but I think that His personality makes me like the music even more.
This is why I love will ramos, he has so much energy during concerts and he's such an inspiration to me to practice my vocals and he keeps me goin

Will is honestly so skilled at what he does, I’ve heard lots of songs by Lorna Shore but hearing the one take vocal covers always blow me away with how much skill he has and his pronunciation of words in his screams. Will is one of the main reasons I got into death core after I found To The Hellfire.
Kyle Anderson from Brand of Sacrifice is my personal favorite since his style tends to be a bit more comprehensible, but I think Will Ramos is the most talented vocalist hands down. His ability to stay composed and consistent while staying at that level of intensity is insane.
Just started getting into some brand of sacrifice and love it. The chorus on demon king is such a banger.
You should definitely check out old afterimage or centuries apart. I don't even listen to bos much, but I loved his other bands.

Saw Lorna Shore live for the first time this past winter. They are the first band in several years I’ve seen live and had goose bumps/ just stared with my mouth open the entire time. Entire band is so fucking tight and talented. They deserve all the attention they’ve gotten in recent years.
I'm seeing them for the first time live this April. I love the entire band, they are all such talented musicians individually and what they all create together with Will's vocals is phenomenal. I cannot wait to experience their performances in person. I get goosebumps and tears just listening at home.
I'm not into this kind of singing, BUT i watched his video when they put a camera inside his throat and studied his singing technique...that was amazing. Great talent in his genre for sure.
If you wanna get your mind blown, listen to burn victim by methwitch. The music is even more cacophonous than most metal but the vocals are insane. Cameron (the only guy in the band because it’s a solo project) does these sick whistle tone screams. Before I heard his music, I’d never heard any vocals like it. Easily one of the best fry distortion vocalists out there.

I said the same thing during the Into the Hellfire one-take. He did it so effortlessly that he almost looked bored.
Will is be probably the best if not one of the best representations of the metal community. Absolute demon behind the mic and one of the nicest and most wholesome dudes outside of the music

Some of Wills vocals make my throat hurt just Listening to them lol yet he makes it look so effortless. His talent is beyond impressive. Its crazy how these brutally inhumane noises come from such a sweet and lovable guy like Will.
I think despite what you think about CJ, you should still hear the album for yourself. It is honestly a great album and one of the best Deathcore albums, even just instrumentally.
Nik isn’t going to listen to it because he likes to meat ride will hard. Cj is a better vocalist than will, and everyone knows it. Anyone that does vocals KNOWS who’s good and who’s better. There’s levels to this shit, but it’s not to knock off that will sucks. Will is GOOD! He’s just not great! I happen to think there are wayyyyyy better modern vocalists than cj and will at the current moment too, but nik needs to lay off the dick.
@@huejazz_ to me, CJ and Will are 2 different vocalists. Will suits the melodic side of metal more, while CJ suits the heavier, slammier side more. Disfigurement of Existence by SOTS shows that for CJ, and Will’s work in his older Metalcore bands shows his style off. I don’t like to compare vocalists when they perform different styles of music.
I like CJs gutterals better. And the whole Immortal album is goated.

Agreed. Will is just an amazing dude and I find it impossible to dislike him. But I still like CJ's immortal a bit more.
I absolutely love this album. Blasted that shit on repeat during many 8 hour long Classic WoW grind sessions. It's sad that the band got so little recognition due to the whole fiasco with the allegations, as this album is an amazing piece of work. Lorna finally got the recognition they deserve with To the Hellfire, of course in part due to Will's crazy vocals, but on this album you could already hear all of the instrumental work that many also praise about them like the symphonic elements and the great riff work.
100% agreed. It's a killer album. Darkest spawn is an absolute banger. Actually some of the deeper cuts are really good too

I remember around the time I installed a 15" sub in my car I randomly came across Warpath of Disease - that shit hit so hard in the first 10 seconds, I've been hooked on Lorna ever since.
I absolutely love CJ's and not because it is the OG version - but to me Will tends to take every one of his covers to another level. The guy really can do no wrong in this genre.
Will is just an amazing guy. I really love his style, but I love the OG more. Recreant was an amazing cover. Can't wait to hear more from Will.
Immortal is probably my favorite Lorna Shore song... Really cool to see Will covering it!

I'm surprised you haven't heard the Immortal album. It's really really good. Death Portrait was shockingly amazing.
Think it was more of a thing to do with the allegations shortly before the album came out. Was a really bad time for the band because they came out so close to the album release. Picking up Will and having that EP pop off like it did was truly an amazing turn around

I love this cover and will is amazing vocalist but this song was made for CJ with his dark gurgles and demonic presence, say what you want about CJ but he took Lorna shore to a new level and will jumped on board and took them to stardom! They are both to thank for Lorna shore being who they are! I love them both
Tbh Lorna did CJ dirty.. but he's back to making music now thankfully, so I look forward to hearing more of that, and obviously more from Will.

In my opinion the song was basically written for CJs vocals, but Will just takes that and says "Ah fuck it, let's make it my own" and he does that. Both version are just incredible and i don't want to or can't say which one is now better, and honestly, does it matter? Will go brrr and that's what counts
Boils down to personal performance since will and for some reason I can’t remember the others singers name . Frankly I didn’t like the original song I like wills vocal range for this song over all I feel wills vocals are just better I’ve tried to listen to each phases of Lorna shore and wills the one that stuck honestly .

I’ve loved Lorna since Flesh Coffin dropped but have never gotten to see them live yet so I’m ecstatic that I get to see them three times this year
Will is just an excellent frontman overall. His ability, personality, and I'd say he's charismatic. I feel he's become the face of deathcore and will probably leave a good legacy at the end of things
If I remember correctly CJ released a statement in video showing that the woman who accused him of misconduct was essentially a stalker. But I'm glad the band decided to just keep moving and not take a breather and waste time, Will has been a fantastic replacement and has become a fantastic vocalist all his own. CJ's contributions on this album though should be applauded though.

Wasn’t much of a deathcore fan until will joined Lorna and I heard a few songs for them, there’s something about them that I just love, and now it’s got me to love tons of other deathcore bands as well

I went back to Immortal when the AIRTN ep came out and fell in love with it, it’s lowkey as good as Pain Remains. I’d looovvee to hear Will on all the songs off it.

Will and Lorna Shore remind me even in my 40s metal never gets old. There is always bands and artists that will surprise me with something new bringing me back out to shows furthing my tinitus.

Right.. i was about to write a comment, when i was ripped out of it by the end. The fade out sounded SO amazing. I love a good fade out into a clear voice.
My original comment was on the highs tones in the specific Growl, that actually he does quite a bit. I think thats exactly where is inspiration from classical throat singing comes in.
I myself have attempted some throat singing myself, but havent been able to get the high side tones right yet. Same with growling/screaming. Getting side tones in your vocals is hard, so even more respect to Will on this.

CJ's vocals on Immortal can't be topped. I love Will and this was a great performance but the power behind CJ's voice is something unique to him and him only. Just like with the new Lorna stuff, I can't see anybody else doing that but Will. You don't need to like the person to appreciate how great their vocals are, even though the accusations were false anyways.
I strongly agree, I find Will and the current Lorna Shore the best, but even so, I prefer the immortal album with CJ
Just curious, where can I find info on the allegation. Specifically the allegations being fake. From what I've heard the sexual assault allegations are a lil bit iffy, but he did 100% say some racist shit.
These are just second hand accounts though, and I don't know if what I've heard is true or not. CJ in his statement didn't even talk about the racism allegations. I have tried to research the subject to no avail, yet you seem to be quite confident in the fact that he didn't do anything wrong, so you must have some info I do not

Same here, new Darko EP is insane. One of my favorite parts is the breakdown on "UNMASKED" where it sounds like Tom is getting repeatedly punched in the gut as he's delivering it.

I keep hoping for a fully re-recorded version of the album with will on vocals. Then Target can release it on vinyl like they did with the "Taylor's version" stuff and I can go pick it up along with some Threshold bath towels and a wicker basket or something.

The evolution of Lorna's sound, from Psalms through Pain Remains, is pretty amazing. They manage to get heavier AND more melodic with each.
He's one of those who think his image will be ruined if he covers a CJ song.

Frankly, other than what CJ had to deal with, it kind of worked out for fans... Lorna, in my opinion, is better with Will, and CJ's new band (Immortal Disfigurement) is siiiiiick.
